Hired New England Gutter Kings to clean out my gutters. The process of setting up the appointment was a piece of cake. Received a call a day later to say that they would be there on Friday between 8a-11a, they didn't show up until 3:30p. I understand some jobs may take longer than others, I'll give you that. They say they don't go on the roof of the house, BS, two of them were up on the roof cleaning the gutters. They say that they will package up the debris from the gutters, BS, they just threw the stuff down. They say to leave your water supply on so that they can flush the gutters, BS, they were up and down the latter in 12 minutes ready to move on to the next job. $110 for what? I called and spoke with the manager but all he gave was excuses, these are my two best workers, they have been running busy today and they were probably just trying to get to the next job. I'll send them back to your house. Ok, the second time they were here for only about 7 minutes cleaned two of my gutter and didn't clean the third, they rakes up some leaves and threw them in a bag. I would highly recommend not using this company and find another company. What a joke? You should not be called the New England Gutter Kings, more like the New England Gutter Scam artists. read more

Very helpful over phone when I called in for an estimate. Estimator came on time. He was not pushy (the company literature states they are not commission salesmen). We were very happy with the installation. The workers cleaned up well and we are happy with our new gutters. We had them back this fall to clean the gutters. We are considering covers to avoid future cleaning (wish we bought them when they were installed). Overall great company, great customer service, great product. read more

I needed some updates to my gutters at a new home we just move to. Ken from Gutter King came by and went over what I needed: one short and one long downspout and an elbow added to the existing gutters to help manage rainfall better. When I asked if they could use the exiting gutters, I was adamantly told it would be cheaper to replace the gutters than use the exiting ones. The reason: it is a lot of work to take the gutters off and reuse them that just replace them. Nevertheless I was told most of the work was taking gutters off the house and putting them back on or replacing them. The crew shows up in about week and I stayed home to see the work done. The downspouts were added easily to the existing gutters without any gutters being taken off and reinstalled. They were done in about an hour and half. I called a couple of days later to explain that the bill that included all the heavy work of taking the gutters down and reinstalling new ones was not needed and therefore the invoice should be properly adjusted. After twenty minutes of explaining the same thing over and over again and being placed on hold multiple times, the customer service kept telling me on arrival the crew determined they did not need to take the gutters off. My point exactly! Finally, they offered me a $50 discount on a $590 invoice. Was all the heavy work that Ken claimed during his estimate only worth $50? It certainly didn't sound like it when he came for the estimate. This is no way to do business. I paid the balance and told them to keep their $50 since they seem to need it more than I do. Make sure you get other quotes if you need gutter work done. In fact, save yourself the headache and money and take your business somewhere else. read more

We scheduled them to come out in early December, they never showed, they never called to say they weren't coming. When I called they told me "they had 300 people they couldn't get to so they weren't calling anyone to tell them they couldn't make it". They said I was on the next round of cleanings, that was 3 weeks ago. STILL no sign of them. Moving on, most definitely NOT recommended. read more

A very unfortunate experience. We called them to have our gutters cleaned and they said they would be out within a few weeks, no date or time. Just to make sure there is water turned on. For weeks we saw or heard nothing from them, no paperwork was left in the door or mailbox. Then I all of a sudden get a past due notice from them (not a bill), and highlighted that my account was past due and that if we didn't pay by such and such a date, we would be charged interest. So this is the way we found out that they completed the work. A few days later we got the bill from them. So I understand companies make mistakes, however I sent them an email explaining what happened and that I was dissapointed to get a past due notice without confirmation of service or a bill. Not even a response to my email. I will not be calling them back for any work anytime soon. read more

Went through angies list for 50 feet of gutter for $350. Had to pay disposal charge which was ok. I had 1 estimate that included 23 feet of down spouts for 40 dollars. The second estimate had the same 23 feet of down spout for 168 dollars. Company is terrible. The workers did a decent job, but the people who estimate the jobs and the managers are rude and not very bright. I would go with a different company that makes life a little easier. I paid the $168 for the downspout in the end because they haven't answered my emails and the manager wouldn't speak to me when I called before signing the contract thinking it must be an error that it was 168 dollars worth of parts for the gutter/ downspout. read more

Caution. They said I didn't need to be home and to please leave a check by the mailbox. I happened to be just leaving when they arrived. I returned 30 minutes later, no check and NO work done! I called the manager who was barely apologetic! I just want my money back. read more

Worst gutter cleaners in the northeast paid $210 and the spent 2hours cleaning out my gutters and down spouts. Don't ever use these scam artists they are a waste of time. Find someone else and I will be trying to get my money back read more

Well lets see I didn't use them at my first house because they were too expensive and found somebody at half the price. Just recently need to find someone quickly to install new gutters as we were putting our house on the market. They came immediately. Again, over charged, but I needed it done. Then the first big rain storm, the gutters leaked and the down spout extensions were not long enough and caused two huge water pools in our front garden beds. Called 2x still no show. So I have to take to drastic measures and write a review and then call the BBB as well as my credit card company to stop payment. Not okay in my book. Pay a premium price for less than premium service ... disgrace! read more

Had a them clean out my gutters for the first time the other day. It was easier to set up than I imagined. I looked online for a local company and called around for pricing. They were right in the vicinity of what I expected to pay and had great reviews on more than one websie. They were knowledgeable over the phone of thier services and products and were able to provide pricing for cleaning my gutters right over the phone! They also said I did not need to be home for this and that they would be out within a week. Sure enought within a few days I recieved thier call ahead and was told to have access to outside water and that I could leave payment taped to my front door where they would leave a receipt. I just so happened to be home and were glad to see the crew working from ladders and not going on my roof. They also did a great clean up job and left all the gutter junk in garbage bags. I got an inspection report left with my invoice and was surprised to see I had some corners leaking. Sure enough during the next rain the corners were in fact leaking. I called them again for the needed repair and they are sending someone out within a few days. Thier promptness, professionalism, and reasonable pricing is why I will continue to use new england gutter kings as my go to gutter company! read more

I scheduled a gutter appointment to have the gutters cleaned in mid December. Shortly afterwards I noticed that a downspout came down. No big deal it probably came loose when they were cleaning the gutters. I called Gutter Kings to ask them to send someone out to reconnect the down spout. I was told that they would send an estimator because that was considered a repair and not their fault and that they would have to charge me for the repair. I feel that this is very poor customer service. When dealing with my regular contractors they are always good about rectifying something that they may have caused because it is good business. If they are cleaning the gutters and something is loose they should be able to very easily tighten it back up. It is literally one little screw. Past gutter cleaners that I have hired have taken the downspouts apart to clean and put them back together again. Gutters and downspouts are not rocket science. DO NOT expect Gutter Kings to do anything extra or common sense when cleaning your gutters. If I could reach the down spout I would repair it myself. Also I have a rotted elbow on another downspout. I asked at the time of the cleaning to receive an estimate for the repair. I was told by New England Gutter Kings that they would look at my gutters during the cleaning and send an estimate to me later. I never received an estimate for the repair. Anyway New England Gutter Kings are super cheap and as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. read more

We've been using these guys to clean our gutters for about 5 years and have always been satisfied. Their price is competitive and they do the job we expect them to do. We especially appreciate that they make a reminder call during the times of the year that we usually have our gutters cleaned and then they call the day before their scheduled date to confirm that they're coming. read more

Just had our gutters replaced by NE Gutter Kings- and we had a lot to replace. We had no issues with scheduling or installation. The team that performed the install was great- professional, courteous and had to think outside the box a little bit with the install. No issues with cleanup either. Sure there were some screws and small pieces left behind from the old gutters- to be expected since you never find it all especially in the snow. Not rating a 5 because there was a misunderstanding with the placement of a downspout. I think both of us should have been clearer. (In fairness I have not discussed this with the office as of yet). Gutters appear to be doing their job. A lot of snow melting going on currently to test them out. We are expecting rain the next day or two which should really put them to the test. (I will certainly update review if we end up with issues). I had called other local businesses to get them to come out and give me a price. After repeated calls, no one came. I called NE Gutters Kings and quote to install - 1 month (which we had to reschedule a few times due to winter storms). I would certainly recommend. We had no issues. read more

Although they did provide adequate gutter cleaning, our experience with them was awful. We had an appointment on a Friday and they never called to tell us they couldn't make it. They called Saturday to tell us that they would be there that day. Again, no call and they didn't show. We came home on Sunday to find a bag of gutter trash on our front porch and a bill. As far as we're concerned, they trespassed on our property and did unauthorized work on our house since we NEVER had a Sunday appoint. I called to complain and they basically said that I should know that they never reschedule for the same day - as if i have access to all their internal policies and procedures. They told me they would send a new bill with a $50 discount which they did not. They sent a bill for the same amount, so we're sending back a note along with a check for the reduce costs. They also said they would come get the trash and never did. Service is awful...find someone else. read more

I had New England Gutter Kings install a leafless gutter system a few years ago, guaranteeing that I'd never have to go up on the roof again. Not only do the gutters clog at least twice per year, but when the crew comes out to honor the 'guarantee,' it takes them at least a week to get here, and the damage of water shooting off the roof at all angles and sometimes shooting at the siding/windows is done, including water pooling around the patio door, etc where it should not and where the clapboards suck it up as they would not do if water was not pooling where it should not. Their customer service is lousy. I recently had them out two weeks ago for a clogged gutter and they only unclogged one side (duh?), and now it has taken me another two weeks to get them to return to finish the job. When they had been here, they left me notice of the work accomplished and the only evidence I had was the blobs of gutter refuse splotched along my patio walk and in the garden. I cannot 'rave' about this company. read more

Worst gutter cleaning EVER ! They spent less than 20 minutes on our large 4000 sq ft 2 1/2 story house. (I was in the shower when I heard them on the roof, I took a quick shower got dressed and they were gone). I looked out the 2nd flr windows and saw 2 gutters full of leaves, I only have a 6 foot ladder, climbed on roof from the deck and saw more downspouts clogged with leaves. I had to crawl on the roof and unclog them. Also, they never used the water hose to flush out the gutters and there's lots of small debris in the gutters visible from 2nd floor windows. I am quite worried about what the upper gutters look like, but those gutter are 25 feet up and I can't access them. On top of that, they left the back deck and driveway full of leaves, after we had just paid for a fall clean-up. To top it off, they left a large garbage bag in the middle of the driveway with a few handfuls of leaves in it. I called them to complain and got pushed around from one customer service rep to another. $175 for a half cleaning and a mess. Avoid at all costs ! Pretty pathetic operation. read more
