It is an Indian truck and the rice was listed as fried rice but it was clearly basmati. It was not good. I have to say their drink prices are some of the most reasonable at the festival. Ts Jerky House 5 star - the bbq sundae with cornbread, beans, and smokey brisquet was amazing. Topped with crispy onions for texture. Elote corn 3 star - I tried the buttered lime but there was no lime. The corn was definitely best of the season. Shitakaberries 5 star - we opted for something sweet and this was great. We got the reverse tiger, dark chocolate with white drizzle. 7 bucks for 5 berries on a stick. It was definetly about the experience. TC Scoops 4 stars - we each got a single scoop and a topping for 4 dollars. It was just ok, but my bf loved the cherry. Reds 5 star - really personable. Reasonably priced, especially the drinks, which is what drew me there. He realized he ignored me and gave me the drink free of charge. A definite place for customer service.

The Rock & Shock festival combines metal music with a horror convention. Does a better pairing even…read moreexist? The lineup up for the 2018 festival was amazing! On Saturday, Dark Tranquility headlined and played with Omnium Gatherum and Moonspell. On Sunday, Trivium was the headliner and was supported by Avatar and Light the Torch. All acts played at The Palladium. Concerts actually launch Thursday night, but we only liked the lineup for Saturady and SUnday specifically. Tickets for the concert included admission to the horror convention at the DCU. We bought our tickets through Ticketfly with the will call option and picked our tickets up at the DCU. All we had to do was show our concert tickets to gain entry into the horror convention. There was a lot of pop culture toys (re:Godzilla) and classical horror movie themed art (think Freddy, Chuckie, and Jason). It took us about 1 hour to whiz through everything. Their goal is to bring a variety of musical experiences using concerts, performances, and educational programs. This includes symphony, chamber, dance and jazz genres. They sometimes feature renowned artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell and Yo Yo Ma. We've attended many Music Worcester performances in a variety of venues including the fabulous Mechanics Hall, the beautiful Tuckerman Hall, and most recently Trinity Lutheran Church where we attended the Women's Ensemble Choir. My point is, isn't the Worcester Center for Crafts mission to support the craft community? It isn't hard to do and a friendly word goes a long way.

Glassblowing was very interesting but too hard for me. I'm really glad I took it for the experience and I would probably do it over again just to try it out. It requires a lot of coordination, so if you are as klutzy as me, you might find it too difficult too. As described in their catalog, flamework is: Tthe process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Begin by making beads, pendants and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class sizes and one-on-one instruction allow students to work at their own pace. I love this class and the instructor, Jake Vincent, is patient and a great teacher. You don't have to be quite as coordinated to do flamework. In addition to glass classes, they have classes in clay, metal, fiber, photography, wood, and design and multimedia. They have a gallery too. I haven't been yet, because the glass studio is in a separate area of Worcester. I've heard its great and intend to go soon. I'll update this post when I get there. Recently, Music in Bloom was…read moreso cool and nice. 36 dollars bought 2hrs and 45 minutes of music plus strolling or otherwise enjoying across 5 locations in the garden. Hearing the music floating in the air as you moved from space to space was so nice. Gorgeous, but still pretty early on the season for flowers. The music and wonderful art made it a really lovely evening. The cafeteria and bar were also serving and had a good selection.
