We absolutely love New Era Learning Center! Our son has learned and grown so much since he has begun attending. They have an actual curriculum. Even more importantly, we know he is loved and cared for. You can feel it in the building. He loves going to school each day. that was not the case at previous daycares. I am so happy that I came across New Era learning center. I moved to the powder springs area from Hawaii and needed a cdc for my 3 year old at the time until he started preschool the following year at Grace Christian. It has been 3 years and I know I can count on Ms. O, Ms. Nadine, & the rest of the staff to look out for him and his older brother during breaks and the summer. It's very important for parents to find a cdc that they trust and maintain that relationship because it takes a village to care for children and I know mine are in good hands at New Era. I am a mother of three children, two boys one girl. my older child is the girl who attended new era day care,and before and after care program as she got older! my 6year old son went to new era as well. now my youngest son is currently attending this very same daycare! with me saying all of this i could not have any other daycare watching over my children and trust that they are safe. all three of my kids come home every day happy talking about what a great fun day they has. My daughter has been attending New Era Learning Center for two years now full-time and at first, part-time. She has been in the toddlers and "two" year old rooms. My family has been very happy with our choice in childcare. Mrs. O and Ms. Dee are literally the best! The teachers and staff really care about the kids and provide an environment that is not only safe but creative and challenging. Fresh natural food are provided and included which is very convenient. A flagship at this daycare is their summer camp program where the kids participate in many activities outside the center. I also enjoyed the Christmas time pajama party for the kids. My daughter will be enrolling in their GA Pre-K. The price is very reasonable and I would highly recommended. read more

While talking to miss Nadine I thought this would be a great place for my daughter to go. What I learned was after picking her up that she had dried tears in her glasses. A little boy told her to open her legs and kick the ball in her vagina and she cry because it hurt. No one was able to tell me what happened because no one was watching the two little boys and my daughter. I filed the complaint the next day and asked for a video to be reviewed. The end result was my daughter getting kicked out of school because she was a liability. what they're trying to teach my daughter is if you speak up for yourself as a young lady and future woman you will have consequences against you. I will not let her store this memory of this negativity. I will be taking this further for her to understand that there can be victory in her reporting things. I am a foster parent and have my six year old foster son enrolled with New Era Daycare in Powder Springs, Georgia. My foster child's subsidized childcare (CAPS) apparently expired, but the daycare did not inform anyone of this. This afternoon, three hours before school dismissal, the daycare owner called me screaming that he had not been paid for four weeks and that he will not work without being paid. I explained that we had no knowledge of this and that it wasn't supposed to expire until December. I told the owner that I would call the case worker immediately and get the CAPS sorted out and assured him that he would be paid in full. He proceeded to say that he will not be picking up my child from school today and he doesn't care if he sits there all night by himself, despite me explaining that I could not get out of work early with no notice and then he then called me an assortment of names and expletives as I hung up the phone. We have also picked our child up in his summer program and a young middle school or high school student named CJ was left alone with the entire room full of students with no adult supervision. After this incident, we did not bring our child back for the remainder of the summer. As a concerned parent, I felt that it was essential that I communicated the danger of this child care facility with other parents. He is unstable and abusive and doesn't care about the children. read more
