One day, I saw a teacher spray water toward my child's face with a spray bottle. I understood that spray bottles may have been used outside to help cool children off in the summer, but what I saw concerned me enough that I asked administration for a meeting to better understand the policy and whether spray bottles were ever used for anything other than cooling off. When I spoke with Lauren, I did not feel my concern was received well. The conversation focused more on my wording and whether I was accusing the school of abuse than on giving me clarity about what I had seen. I left the conversation feeling that my concern as a parent had been met defensively rather than constructively. Because of that interaction, we withdrew our child that day. I had a positive impression of some parts of Goddard overall, but based on my experience with this specific location, I would not personally recommend it.

She did not report the incident (we found out 24 hours later) nor did she call my husband or myself. Supervisor(s) knew nothing (which is a reflection of their managerial skills) the day of the event. I spontaneously called shortly after on the incident (unknowingly) and she did not disclose what happened (told me everything was fine and he hadn't been crying). I removed him immediately. A facility that will not be upfront with you and inform you IMMEDIATELY about any incident involving your child, does not deserve your child's presence. They aren't trustworthy. The one star is for a clean and well-maintained facility. Please don't allow appearances to fool you. My son was there 3 weeks attending part-time. My background: I am a therapist (work with children and adults) and educational consultant. I've been practicing for over 15 years. During graduate school, I was an elementary school teacher. I hope this helps someone in the future and prevents child injury.

I love the Christian foundation. The staff are very friendly, and typically informative. I've had a few hiccups here but nothing major. I love the cameras so that I can peek in on my child if and when desired. We also have access to the live school app which gives a detailed report about your child's activities throughout the day as well as their behavior. They are also performing arts based so the productions are something to look forward to as well. So far I've enjoyed my child's experience here. I'm looking forward to more face to face interactions and getting to know her teachers better!
