initially I thought this place was going to be good and then I got my shoes back and it wasn't. when I went in me and the employee discussed gluing down the inside lining of the shoe and the heals replaced, she told me they'd me ready monday next week. I go there that Monday and my shoes weren't ready, then she says can I call you later today my shoe guy isn't here yet. I was confused because this is a shoe place, but what ever I'm waiting around all day for my shoes and Their phone doesn't work so you can never get a hold of anyone. finally I get a call at 4 pm that my shoes are ready, I get them and only the heals were done. the inside of the one shoe btw wasnt. I left a voicemail and expressed my disatisfacation and no one ever called me back. I'm sure they take care of their regular customers but they just lost one for being unprofessional. read more

I have a small Louis Vuitton key pouch that had a few (as in 4 or 5) stitches come out along the zipper. Upon noticing this I took it to the Louis Vuitton store where I was told it would be a 6-month wait list and cost $100 to repair. TBH, I own a fair number of Louis Vuitton pieces and always found the service to be exceptional and fairly priced, for what needed to be done. Considering this pouch costs $325, paying 1/3 the price for a few stitches seemed ridiculous, and then to risk it actually taking a full 6 months to get it back, absurd. I heard that Shoe Repair and Beyond does work on LV pieces, so went over, got a price quote (came to just under $50 including tax) and hoped for the best. I'm somewhat relieved I didn't read reviews prior (unusual for me), because I may not have taken my Key Pouch in for repair. I dropped the pouch off on Monday and was told it would be ready on Saturday. Instead, I was able to pick it up just 2 days later, and I am happy to say that they did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to bring in future pieces for minor stitching repairs. I did enquire as to "why" the negative reviews. It seems they tried to change the business model, new partners came in, and to make a long story short, it simply didn't work out. I am so happy I found Guy Shoe Repair and Beyond again. They were recommended by Saks a few years back, and I just couldn't remember the name of the shop. This place is amazing I've came here to get 3 of my Christian louboutin red bottoms red painted and I got my dolce & gabbana skirt altered. And they did perfect on everything. My red bottoms cane back to me looking brand new and they also replaced some stones on my louboutins as well that were missing, if you do need something like that done for your shoes it does take a while because they need to special order that for you! But they use a glossy paint so it looks like the original red bottom. As for the skirt the alterations were perfect I told her exactly how I wanted it to fit and she delivered for sure. To alter my skirt came to about 38 dollars! But I had a 20% off coupon from five star. I also got my louboutin wedges repainted! They look like new now! read more

When I booked my recent trip from Los Angeles to Boca, my mom told me to bring the two purses that I was told were "too costly to repair to really be worth it" in LA with me to Boca because she "has the BEST bag and shoe repair guy." These purses -- one Coach leather bag and a Tory Burch canvas tote -- no joke, were both just knocking at death's door, but when I brought them to Guy, the owner of SR& B, he believed he could revive them ... and patiently walked me through my repair and cost options - which were all quite reasonable! My mom threw in a pair of loafers she was going to toss, which Guy also assured us he could revive. I can not speak highly enough about Shoe Repair and Beyond. Primarily Guy. I have been using SR&B for about three years. Service has always been good enough for me to drive down from Palm City. However, this visit was my first encounter with Guy. He took his time and went over every concern for every shoe with me. He walked me through the repair suggestion for each one. I dropped the shoes off on Saturday, and because we live so far away Guy offered the option of sending me a video to approve and then shipping them back. I received a video and photos on Thursday and my shoes are back home today!!! The repairs are everything I hoped they would be and more!!! Once I was young and naive, I opted to make purchases only based on prices; now I am older and just a bit more wiser, I've began to appreciate things on their investment values. Little over a decade ago, I started to replace all of my shoes (except for sneakers) to the Salvatore Ferragamo brand and it's been serving me well. For my fit and because I wear them bare foot (guys don't hate and pick up a GQ mag) Ferragamo shoes are the most comfortable shoes money can buy. Even thought I now have enough in my collection to rotate a different pair for two weeks, I have been maintaining them in their pristine condition only on a yearly basis. And the shop has done exactly that with their excellent craftsmanship! Be sure to request Guy to perform all leather work. They also have onsite tailor for alternations which has also been great. In the past six years, all of my Macy's "on sale" suits have been replaced by Hugo Boss which I wear for work four days a week plus some causal events (yes, suits are for casual events and tuxedos ARE for formal events) such as OYE and most of the slacks were seamed at this place. Although I would only visit them a few times a yeah, they remember me by name and this level of professionalism and customer services is surly a rarity in South Florida. read more

My mom and I have been coming here for years to have our purses and shoes fixed. They recently came under new management and it shows. I wish I had listened to all of the recent negative reviews. I brought in my sandals to be fixed. It seemed pricey, but I was in a rush, so I paid it. The guy said it would take a week. The following week I kept calling at different times throughout the day, trying to see if someone would pick up, so I could follow up about my shoes. NO ONE ever answered the phone. I finally went in, and they told me it would take 3 weeks. I got upset and asked to take the shoes back, I'd go somewhere else. Nope, they were in MIAMI. They don't actually fix anything in Boca. They ship everything down to some warehouse in Miami. When I expressed how frustrated I was with the lack of communication and delays, the guy gave me a $40 gift card to be used in 45 days. As a middle aged adult and having owned a few expensive dress shoes. This was the first time I have ever had the heels or soles replaced. I use to just throw the shoes out to be quite honest. But as people say, the older you get. The wiser you become, most of the time :) With that all said, I have a pair of Johnson and Murphy shoes that have become my favorite. So when the heels were worn out. I decided to have them replaced. Per usual, I pulled up my Yelp app. And presto, I found this place. I emailed the store and rec'd a very quick response. After a few email exchanges. I decided this was the place to do business with. My shoes were repaired and done as promised. By the number of shoes they had in the front of the store to be picked up. SR&B ruined my $400 Palm Angels shoes. Before I sent them my shoes, I sent them pictures of what needed to be repaired. I needed the back white part repaired because the leather grain was not showing because it had been sanded down too much and I needed it repainted. They said, send it in and we can take care of this for you. I understand they needed to look at it in person to see if they can fix it. They proceeded to do the repairs and when Victor sent me the after pictures, I was devastated. The paint matched up but they did not repair it like they said they would. The main thing was for them to repair the leather grain and then paint. They did match the paint but they also painted over the stitching, so you now you cannot see the stitching but actually I think they sanded it so much that they sanded the stitching off of the back of the shoe. After I Emailed them back my concerns Victor got a hold of me. We had an hour long conversation about what they could do. He was very confident and kept reiterating, "We are looking for that WOW factor." I was pretty happy after the conversation. He said, that they could redo the shoe and make it look brand new so I can have that leather grain showing again on the white part. He said that he would send me an email of the different type of leathers they would be able to use and I would be able to choose from those. We talked on a Friday and he said he would get back to me on Monday. I had to follow up with him the following Thursday because he never reached out to me. He reached back out to me after I emailed them and proceeded to tell me they didn't have the correct leather so they had to reach out to the "manufacturer." Sounded like a bunch of smoke and mirrors just to keep me hanging on. I would also say, please email me back, do not call (because I was working) but they always proceeded to call me. Victor called me and we spoke about the status of the shoes. By the end of the conversation, Victor said, They would not be able to repair the shoe as stated previously and then we talked about maybe burning in the leather grain part and he would get back to me to let me know if that was a possibility. Next thing I know, they're already shipping my shoes back to me. I was being patient through this whole process and I was fine with them keeping my shoes as long as they wanted, as long as they were repaired correctly. As I received the shoes back, I open the box and was devastated again as my shoes were shiny like they put pomade on them. As you can see in the pictures the shiny ones are the ones they did and the leather is actually supposed to be like a buttery smooth matte look, The other pictures are the shoes I had to rebuy because they messed up my first shoes. I tried to get the leather shine crap they put on my shoes off but was unsuccessful. They made my $400 shoes look super cheap. In one of our conversations that I had with Victor, he said if they were to mess up the shoes they would actually purchase me a new pair, but I'm sure that was up until they found out that the shoes were $400. I emailed them my concerns after I found out they just messed up my shoes which was about a week and a half ago and haven't heard back from them since. Shoe Repair and Beyond will leave you high and dry if they do not do a good job for you and they will talk a big game about the "wow factor," and not perform to the standards that they stand by. I'll admit they did a great job cleaning my LV bag, this shop is legit and do all kind of designer cleaning and repairs. I also left an aldo leather backpack that strap broke. They did a great job and had a turn around time within a week and it was also during the holiday time period, talk about great service. Their prices were always higher then most, but, it was worth every penny. I was on line waiting for service and each and everyone customer complained that the prices went up. Several of the repeat customers were not in the computer system. When it was my turn, I also was not in their computer (which was a red flag). The new "Guy" gave me such outrageous prices I walked out. He wanted $750.00 to fix a purse and $120 to redo the soles of a pair of shoes! I could go buy new ones!! read more
