I may be the most persnickety person on the planet when it comes to pedicures. I've had a lot of them. I've had a LOT of really great pedicures. I've had my fair share of pedicures that I should have demanded my money back for. This was one of them. I came to New Fancy based on reviews. I had to be in the area at 5pm for another appointment and figured I would kill two birds with one stone. Mistake. Not killing two birds...but doing it with one stone. I opted for the $37, highest priced pedicure. That usually involves the best treatment in the house. Granted, New Fancy prices are much less than other salons but then again, it's in Powell. But that shouldn't mean that treatment is any less. I was wrong. My $37 pedi was SHORTER than the $22 option. I know. The gal next to me had the $22 pedi. Sure he performed all the elements but did so in an abbreviated fashion. I get pedicures once a month because of a big toe with nail fungus that isn't curable unless I get the nail removed and then there isn't even a guarantee. So, every time, since 2012, I ask the tech to clean out the nail and cut it back. Every. Single. Time. I asked his guy twice. My request went ignored both times. He was clearly rushed and not interested in customer service. If the place was slammed, okay, I kind of get it but it's Friday. There were three pedis seated and one mani. To add insult to injury, the massage chair I was in had a broken side table so I held my belongings. The pedi bowls did NOT have bags in them like everyone else is doing now. The massage chair controls are done by the tech. I didn't have access to it. AND the tech never bothered to clean up his work after painting my toes. (See pics) So ladies...go to MODA in Turkey Creek. Get treated like a paying customer. And get what you pay for. read more

Giving one star because I can't put none This used to be my favorite place to go I would go at least once a week if not twice once for nails once for feet. I loved it so much that I got my aunt, grandma, and mom A gift certificate to get their nails and feet done for Mother's Day. My mom went and everything was OK she said but when my aunt and grandmother went I was with them and the ladies were really rude they were grabbing my grandma's hands and pulling her towards them very aggressively and continually rolled the eyes at everything that my aunt or grandma had to say. It was almost like it was a completely different place. After that I could never go back you don't get to treat my family like that with me there and expect to continue getting business from us. read more

I always go here to get my nails done. I've been going here for about a year now. The nail professionals know me by name and are always very kind. I came in to get a full set and saw the price was very affordable, I got a plain color no design and it said to be about $26-$35 and the nail tech asked how I am paying, I said cash. He bumped up the price to $42 just cause I was paying cash. He too advantage of the fact that im a 14 year old, coming in to get a full set by myself, even then the nails are sloppy and one is crooked. Very disappointed read more

My sister and I made an appointment for 3 and were immediately seated at a manicure table. Unfortunately we were not started on until about 3:45. While my nails were soaking, it was then realized by the employee that my sister was also there to get her nails done (mind you, we made an appt). Though my manicurist was nice, gentle and did a good job on my nails, I was floored when I got my bill. $42 for dip nail polish. No cuticle cutting, no massage, just the dip. As you see, I did get french tips and thought maybe I was paying extra for that, but my sister was also charged $42 for a solid color. We will not be returning based on that. read more

Love this place! My gel manicure is perfect! I was a walk in and they were so kind and prompt! I find that some places make you feel bad for walking in but this place treated me like royalty. First time visiting. Went in for a pedicure. We were taken to a chair immediately and left to soak for less than 10 minutes. The massage was on the chair already and the remote was nowhere to be found so I was stuck with the setting. The tools were individually packaged on their own tray. The pedicure it's self was very good with a good amount of massage time. There was only 3 people working so it was a little hectic with people coming and my nail tech having to stop and talk to people. Large selection of colors and very well priced. I paid $60 for acrylic nails, gel polish, a spa pedicure, with French tip toes. The shape of my nails were very similar to how I told Nina I would like them. I give the shaping a 4 star rating. BUT, I had called and made an appointment, but wasn't seen till half an hour of getting there. Which is fine, patience is a virtue. While I was waiting, I sat in the pedicure chair, with blue anti-bacterial water which felt amazing, the water was super hot (which most places it's barely warm) and the hot towels were great. Except the blue water dyed my legs which had to be scrubbed off by her and my self at home. After the pedicure, Nina shaped my nails, and prepared them for color. They were pained by the male in there. A day later I realized that the paint on my nails was terribly uneven, and lumpy. I had them done in the first place for a wedding, I'm not trying to look decent, I'm trying to look my best. So I called, let them know I was unhappy, the male then said if I came back he would fix them. The next day my toe polish started flaking. Two days out a $27 pedicure? I think not. So I called, made another appt, because he said that he would soak them off, and give me a refund. When I showed up, I was talking to Nina, she told me I COULD NOT have a refund, that she would just apply another coat. There was a girl right next to me that was there for the same exact reason. They charged her for their mistake. I also had to argue with both employees that they said "you change color 5 times" the colors on their nail color wheels, are nothing like the actual color. That's why I changed them. I wanted pink and she tried painting them orange. I give a 1 star simply because of their customer service. I just left there with my nails looking somewhat better. I'll post the picture of what I asked for, and what I got. If you're looking for somewhere cheap, and fast, go to them. But if you want what you ask for, I don't recommend them. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for a mani/pedi. I was greated right away and set up with a chair. They offered something to drink (which I later learned they do have wine) and they brought me some magazines while I waited about 10 minutes. The magazines definitely need to be updated, they were 2-3 years old. The gal I had was super sweet and pricing was good. I gave a 4 out of 5 as I liked the pedicure and it's still holding up well but I wasn't impressed with the manicure at all unfortunately. I will be back though to give it another try. read more
