BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE! Our upstairs laundry room overflowed…read moreand flooded in Feb 2025. Our original flooring had been discontinued and we'd worked with several companies to find a similar style. After weeks of searching, we reached out to Trent's Carpet Cleaning & Restoration. He found the exact flooring we wanted and said he could start right away. We also opted to have Trent's replace carpet in areas insurance didn't cover. He said the flooring would have a lifetime warranty and would not chip or scratch. He promptly took a $10,000 deposit, only to later tell us we couldn't get the flooring we picked. We ended up reluctantly agreeing to a different floor Trent suggested. From day 1, we had issues. He positions his company as a family business operating with integrity, but I would challenge that. Trent never visited the job once work began and did not manage the project. I had to act as liaison between him and his workers. The days and times they showed up were never consistent and rarely communicated. Throughout the process, Trent tried to cut corners -- despite insurance covering the cost. Workers would show up unannounced, and Trent would call expecting us to pick up and move everything for them. With 3 young kids (including a newborn), this is not realistic. Not to mention, insurance covered moving as an exact line item. Trent also tried to re-use broken shoe molding and quarter round instead of replacing -- again, items specifically covered by insurance. Several damaged pieces of flooring were installed and they were clearly frustrated when we asked for them to be replaced. We had to constantly inspect the work and confirm items were being addressed. By the time the job was "done", we just wanted them out of our house. When it came time to pay the balance, Trent collected nearly $5,000 in additional "overhead and profit." He came to pick up the check without doing a walk through, asking for feedback, or thanking us. Right away, the flooring started chipping from the smallest things -- a Norwex mop, a small plastic toy, etc. We emailed Trent on Nov 4, which he never responded to. Shortly after, we noticed water around the downstairs toilet. A plumber told us the wax ring was not replaced when the toilet was reinstalled after the floor work. Ironically, Trent had a plumber connect and disconnect our water softener, but didn't use one for the toilet. On Nov 21, I reached out again. After several follow ups, he finally came out Dec 9. Trent acknowledged the chipping and the water damage, though stated several times they always replace the wax ring. He said he'd file a warranty claim for the chipping but couldn't return until the New Year to replace the water damaged flooring. I followed up Jan 6, Jan 23, Feb 9, Feb 16, Feb 20, and Feb 23. Trent said he was waiting on the warranty decision before addressing the bathroom floors. Despite multiple follow ups, there was no decision. On Feb 23, Trent sent workers to do the repair with zero guidance and no replacement flooring. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed Trent had never filed a warranty claim. When I asked if I could file it myself, I was told it had to go through Trent -- who clearly does not take care of his customers. It is now Mar 30. Our water damaged floors have not been replaced, the $200 plumber bill has not been reimbursed, and nobody has contacted us about a warranty claim.

The Bait-and-Switch: The company came to my home, measured my rugs, and gave me a verbal quote of approximately $600. They had me sign a phone screen to approve the service. No $4,800 price tag was ever shown to me or verbally disclosed.2. Property Hostage & Price Gouging: Three weeks later, they returned with my rugs and suddenly demanded $4,800. This was eight times the original quote. The company claimed the employee who quoted me $600 no longer worked there. They held my property hostage until I negotiated with the owner, who dropped the price to $3,100. Under intense pressure to get my property back, I reluctantly authorized the $3,100 debit card charge.3. Substandard Work & Misrepresentation: Upon unrolling the rugs after they left, the quality of work was completely defective. The rugs were hung crookedly and damaged. Furthermore, the company charged me premium rates under the false pretense of cleaning high-end, thousand-dollar 'oriental rugs,' when my items are actually cheap, standard area rugs.I am filing this complaint to publicly document this company's predatory, high-pressure tactics and terrible craftsmanship to protect other consumers and military veterans." Plus, I paid for extra padding also.

Oh my! Excellent service from start to finish. Very professional, reasonably priced, and respectful…read moreof my place -- everything was kept clean throughout. Bar called me when he was 20 minutes away, which I really appreciated, and he showed up on the early side of the time window he gave me. Bar showed me multiple pictures of my chimney as it was, which was nice because who is ever on their roof? He then gave me a few options without any pressure, which I really appreciated. Bar is a low-key guy who's confident in his pricing. I did a quick Google search on typical chimney sweep costs, and he was right in the middle. I decided to go ahead and get it done. He was very thorough and took his time. I watched him working on the chimney from my deck (ranch house) and could tell he's meticulous and detail-oriented. Afterward, Bar showed me pictures of the completed work, and it looked great. What impressed me even more is how many different services this company offers beyond chimney work. I'll be getting quotes from him for a new deck replacement versus repairing the existing one. And heck, while he was here, I also mentioned a section of my gutter that may need some TLC from a past storm. Bar is truly a jack of all trades, and I'm so glad we crossed paths. I originally found him on Thumbtack and will definitely be using him again. Thanks, Bar -- see you soon!

In 2025 my chimney was leaking. I contacted this company. On my invoice it said FLASHING…read moreSEALANT...we applied new sealant to the chinney flashing to ensure a watertight seal and prevent any potential leaks. Well I wasn't sure that the job was even done, because I didn't see the guy use anything, and it was like he kept shielding himself like no work was being done. When he was done pretending to work I asked about a warrant, and was told that it was a 3yr warranty. Afterwards I had the repair work done on the chimney inside the house from the leak (plaster). months later I'm having the same problem. The new plaster is wet. I called them out again, and because they did not want to honor their warranty I was told that I needed a new brick chimney. Of course I didn't believe them, and I told them if I did I wouln't use them. I called out two other companies, and of course I didn't need a new chimney! They never fixed the problem, and if they did it was not done to standard. Unfortunately months later I had to pay another company for a job that they were paid to do. They should have stood by their warranty. This sight allows you to edit your post, so right after posting I see that the owner responded...with all lies!!! I will not go back and forth with you. What would it benefit me to lie about your poor service. There were no before, or after photos provided. My chimney does not and never has had drywall around it. My brick work is GOOD just like the other companies has stated. No unrelated issues developed...none! That's why the other company (Cochran Exteriors) came out and did the job that your company supposedly had done....nothing more and nothing less! If I needed a new chimney I'm sure the other companies would have liked to had made more money like you tried to make, but my brick chimney is in good condition unlike how bad you're trying to make it seem. Just take the bad honest review, and move on, because you're only making things worse for you business...not that I care.
