Her husband and her have a farm and me and mine occasionally join them since we live down the street from the nursery. The staff there are so so friendly and knowledgeable. We want to plant fruit trees and start a veggie garden, eventually. Between the staff and my best friends I feel very comfortable learning how to have a green thumb. As far as price goes, since this is my first time there and not really buying plants aside from the seasonal flower to indoor plants I'm not too familiar with it being good value. But I do believe they are as my best friends always come back and the constantly have fliers for sales. They also give notice to upcoming community events. Our last visit we realized that they also sell beef cuts, tallow, jams and honey. We decided to purchase the honey and we just tried it with tea and by itself, and we will be repurchasing! We're excited to get our beef there too. But amazing place, heavily believe in supporting local nurseries it's worth it.

The owner even delivered our last purchase to our house for free! In fact, the owner delivered our trees to our house 30 minutes after we left the nursery . I thought I would shop local because I figured they would need the business but I felt like I got…read morethe business. The parts I needed were basic carb rebuild parts for a McLane Briggs & Stratton 3 HP 4 Cycle edger (Model 80202 with a rewind starter) Fuel Tank Gasket-272409S, Intake Gasket-27355S, Fuel Diaphram-270026, and Idle mix washer(copper)270978. Some of the parts they had and the Intake gasket & Washer they did not have. It took at least 15 minutes ( I could have shelved their whole inventory by that time). They charged $10.00 freight charge for 1 gasket and 1 washer probably from Briggs & Stratton in Bell Gardens, CA (5 hour drive). Also they charged me $0.95 for using my credit card. NO signs, NO info from clerk. It was only on the credit card machine receipt. This is shady as it is required by the state to have some kind of notice or sign, beyond it being on the already paid receipt. They have plenty of signs about all their other charges ($95/HR labor charge & $15 Restocking fee). You are better off getting the part numbers, and ordering from Briggs & Stratton, on your own, or buying from Amazon. (You can see how long it took to get the washer from the notes on the receipt). I originally had them looking for a Throttle cable but by the time I got home, I realized they were incapable so I found it on my own, ordered it, and rec'd it before both of the parts, they ordered, had arrived at their the shop. When the Intake gasket came in, they didn't call me, I had to call them. When I went in, I found out the washer had not come in. Then I get the "Supplier had a back order" story. So it took 2 weeks to get the washer. I have 2 years in Business Admin (including law & accounting), and worked as a purchasing agent for California Mustang (City of Industry, CA) in the late 80's, and this is how you run a FAILING business. I know this guy recently purchased the shop, but his experience of repairing small engines is about where it stops. I am just glad I did not leave my edger there.
