Just went to get my eyebrows done and it was the worst experience I ever had!!! I laid on paper that wasn't cleaned from the previous guest. The lady that did it seemed like she was upset that she had to take time out of her day for this service. My wax lasted all of 3 1/2 minutes and that's stretching it. Granted I picked pink color powder that was a bit darker than I would have really liked. But folks - my nail tech put together a look that resembles bubble gum blobs on the ends of my fingers - I can send a photo if you like. I work for a jeweler my hands are on display. I was stunned frankly, I used to go to this shop for years and was very happy. I am hoping to hear that she was just out of school. My pink nail look like shovels, I asked for squared off nails (i am no fond of pointed) and I got shovels.....I seriously have to go somewhere else tonight to get this ugly removed. I had been to this salon a couple times before, this was my first time getting an acrylic set here. I asked for square nails and was given something that resembles duck nails. Very wide at the tip with rounded edges. I prefer the edges of my nails to be sharp, instead they look like week old square nails. Tried showing the nail tech a photo of sharp edged nails and she said I should have asked for coffin. Regardless of the shape, the edges should not have been rounded. When I asked for this to be fixed, the nail tech seemed annoyed and was clearly talking to the other nail tech next to her about it. Unfortunately, I also noticed an extremely crooked nail once I got home. I understand fingers are not straight, but I have never had a nail this crooked. Disappointing Experience - Rushed and Unprofessional It's hard to believe how poor the service has become. I have been coming here for gel nails, along with pedicures, but after today, i won't be returning. During my visit, I was asked if I wanted a $10 callus treatment. I politely declined, and moments later, the owner placed a timer next to my technician and started it--without explanation. I was then informed they had only 20 minutes to complete the pedicure. Naturally, the technician had to rush through the service, making the experience feel impersonal and hurried. What should have been a relaxing visit felt more like an assembly line. The owner walked around the salon checking every technician's timer like it was a factory floor. It was clear that customer satisfaction wasn't a priority--just getting through appointments as quickly as possible. I left feeling like I was just another $40, not a valued customer. I had my regular dipping powder and pedicure today, but the pedi was not done by my normal nail tech. I instead had Liam and she was very rough, and she didn't cut into the quick of one nail bed but two of my toes were bleeding. I wanted to talk to the owner but he was on the phone so I called from my car. I'm fairly certain the woman who answered the phone was the lady who did My bloody pedicure, she informed me I should have said something while I was there, I would have thought the little scream I let out twice should've been sufficient. I left my name and number for the owner and....surprise.....he's yet to call me. I've cancelled the transaction with my credit card and will never go there again! I walked in to make an appointment expecting to come back at a later date; which was fine. Instead they did have a woman "Cindy" available to give me a manicure and pedicure. Cindy was annoyed while I was picking out a color. During both my manicure and pedicure; she jerked my hands and feet "to get them where she wanted to place them"...very mean like. Then, she was literally cutting my cuticles by pulling the skin off which hurt - instead of clipping the cuticles. One of my cuticles was bleeding. She kept looking to her left - down at something: I thought she was reading texts from someone. I looked to see what she was looking at...and she pointed to a little puzzle piece of a picture of her dog...really? She was mean during the pedicure. I had to ask her to clip off a piece of skin she left hanging. She would push my feet where she wanted them. She kept repeating don't move or touch anything; nails not dry...I wasn't moving at all...I was too scared to move; I was watching her wondering why she is such an angry person. It was the worst customer service/manicure/pedicure I have ever had in my life. I will never go back. I reluctantly gave a 20% tip; I asked to book with someone else for a December mani/pedi....and the "host" at the front desk would not let me. This is about the "Boss Man" working there. Shops in this country need to start appreciating peoples tips regardless of the size. An "OH!" On a 15$ Tip is really not acceptable. Sorry but even I have to work my ass off for my money and I do not get tipped for all my work. Aside hovering over my bill while trying to pay is bad manners. This tipping % are out of hands and it should be for the service and not as a substitute to your low pay outs (thats an assumption). Not so happy nails. They don't really do a full manicure or pedicure because they pay no attention to the cuticles. During my pedicure, the tech was going to skip treating and trimming the cuticles. I called his attention to it. I'm a raised voice he said, "Later, later!!" I said "No, please do it now, before you do the nail polish". During the rest of the pedicure he was rough handed and stared into the distance. He had to add acetone thinner to the nail polish, I called him on it, I said it was old polish. He didn't like it and continued to paint my toes. I felt stuck. During my manicure, he removed the old polish, haphazardly cut and filed my nails and was ready to apply polish and I said "What about my cuticles?" He acted like he didn't understand and I said "Cuticles?" Again, in a raised voice he said "Later! Later!!" I said: "Do not raise your voice to me. The cuticles are ugly, you need to fix them". He walked over to another employee, who came over and had the gall to say: "That is extra." I said "How is it extra? I'm paying for a manicure." I stood up, paid for the pedicure and left Is this normal? Since when do I have to pay extra for the cuticles to be treated when I pay for a manicure??? And the tech raising his voice to me? First off I will say they did a great job and my tech was very personable. My daughters was not. Both my daughter and I had full sets and pedicures. I also had my lips and Eyebrows waxed. The cost when I was leaving about floored me. Not sure I'm am allowed to put what it was but it was super expensive! I should have looked at prices but we were trying to get ready for my sons wedding and we were from out of town. Happy to have actually found a place to go. I popped in not realizing it was the beginning of a holiday weekend and it was crowded at 10:30am! They said it would be about a half an hour but literally in 10 minutes I was sitting in a chair with my feet in hot water! The pictures that are being shown on the site looks nothing like where I went so maybe they have done a complete refurbishing. It is fantastic inside, the chairs are comfortable and clean and the person who gave me a pedicure knew what they were doing! Excellent! I made an appointment for 3 o'clock, but arrived at 2:45. Tuesday afternoon must be the perfect time because I almost have the place to myself. I was greeted immediately. Yoyo helped me find the matching color for my toes and my nails, and then seated in the chair. The salon is clean, refreshingly cool, and looks nice. I had the lavender essential oil pedicure. The 15 minutes of leg and foot massage was wonderful. I followed that with a gel manicure. Those turned out very nice. I also got a nice shoulder massage while my nails were drying. I did a little people watching, and all of the staff seemed very good with the customers. They were all very polite. I also felt very safe. The technician wore a mask and shield the entire time, and when she did my nails, there was actually plexiglass between me and her. The salon wasn't busy. Yoyo did my feet and nails. I would not recommend this nail salon. I got the $78 organic pedicure and regular manicure. Some of the steps in the description were skipped completely and I wasn't given a choice of scents. My feet still feel rough, I should've just walked on the beach in the sand and painted my own toes for free. I started going to happy nails may be four months ago, I am a guy so leaving a review on a nail salon means allot to me. They are VERY clean, very professional and do an amazing job. They do offer upgrades so be careful when you're getting a nail job, they offer upgrades for your manicure and pedicure which is what we normally get. Peter the owner is great and very attentive to his customers, today Saturday afternoon The salon had more men than women which was amazing to see. There were six guys sitting getting pedicures. I didn't know Helga of the SS did mani/pedis. She's doing them at Sarasota Happy Nails. I'd booked for 2 people and when we arrived there was a huge fight between 2 techs (in their language, I assume Chinese) about who should take us. The others seemed to think this was biz as usual. My tech won, presumably because I was having gel which would mean more $. But she was MAD. And she had sharp tools. Note to self: if this kind of thing happens, leave, quickly, don't look back. She was aggressive 'no, no file, I cut, file take too long'. I now have the shortest nails of my life. Sprayed acetone until I choked, wouldn't let me wear my own flip flops 'you wear NOW, your shoes later'. And argued with me about how much to scratch the tops of my nails. 'You come back here tomorrow, polish come off, I not fix.' Also, my legs weren't in the right place, then my fingernails weren't right, then my fingers weren't being held in the right place, she jerked them several times. I've had kazillions of mani/pedis and never felt like a troglodyte before. My partner was having a nice time with his tech so I didn't suggest we leave, but I really should have. The woman hurt me (toes and fingers still sore) and the COST. This salon is easily 30% more than any other I have visited, on 2 continents. And the tech wanted more than the 20% tip I gave her. 'I can change your other bill...' Woman should have tipped ME--the amount of the service. The man at the front desk said you get a free mani with 2 visits, then marked my card for 1 visit (there were 2 of us, remember). The card says you get a free mani with 20 visits. The facility is nice, but the nail tech I had did a terrible job. He seemed to be the manager, and was completely distracted by managing customers while also trying to do a customer's nails (mine). I got a gel manicure and pedicure for $78 and it was literally chipped in one day. The gel is flimsy and doesn't last. It peels right off.
