She expertly gave my nails a much needed shaping, checked with me several times to ensure that I was pleased with her progress. Snow was friendly, attentive, and after her relaxing massage my nails really looked pretty and ready to kick off the summer looks. She's fast with quality experienced work. Absolute pleasure. Off to the Massage chair I went and found that I really needed it! Wayne did my pedicure. Friendly, gentle, and left my toes and heels so smooth. Oh, so relaxing. This is the result of a really bad experience with this place.... Hannah did my nails and after 2 days they broke..... so I came back and the owner fix them, but Hannah gave him the wrong color! And after he saw that, he was like "oh don't worry give it 1 day and it will be fine" but.... after 3 days my nails look really funny! So I called them to see if they could help me and yes they can help me but they can only see me at the end of the day again( last time I had to go at 6pm with my baby) (And I was gonna take my mother to have her nails done as well..... )is not fair!!! When I have to spent 3 hours of my time to come back because they didn't do a good job! And now I need to go at the time they want? I was going there for the last couple of years and last time I stopped going there because Hannah did my nails and she didn't take the time to do a good job.... She started using this on my right foot and within seconds I was missing CHUNKS of skin off of my heels and foot. The pain was unbearable. I visited this salon on Wednesday after reading the reviews and because of its proximity to my house. I'm new to the area and seeking a "salon home". I was greeted when I walked in and asked what services I needed. After the manicurist drew water for me and began drilling the polish off of my toenails, he left to assist another client. After about 5 minutes he came back to me and told me that he couldn't do my nails at the time because he had an appointment. What!? Why wasn't that explained BEFORE. Perhaps ALL business isn't appreciated at this salon. Needless to say, I won't be visiting again. I was a regular customer at Sparkle Nails, but stopped going because they do not keep appointment times. They should not take walk ins and make customers who make appointments wait 30-45 minutes past their appointment time. This happened to me repeatedly at Sparkle Nails. It is rude, unprofessional and unacceptable. It is particularly bad when you bring a friend, make appointments for 2 people and they completely screw up by making one of you wait 45 extra minutes because of their poor planning, and in turn, you miss your dinner reservation. I even gave them ANOTHER chance after this, and they did it again. My mother made the mistake of going today and they did the same thing to her. Clearly, they have no clue how to schedule appointments and do not respect their customer's time. I have a very busy schedule and my time is valuable. I will not be returning to Sparkle Nails again. There are many other nice nail salons in Sarasota who are able to keep appointment times. read more

It was the fastest manicure I've ever gotten. My friends felt rushed and were not happy with their experience eit. We had called beforehand to make sure they were available to take us. It hasn't even been a week and my gel manicure looks terrible. The day after I got my nails done I saw a crack in the paint on my thumb and ultimately the corner chipped off entirely. I was planning on getting a pedicure that day also but happy I didn't because it allowed me to find my new go-to salon. The edges of my nail look like they can be peeled off. I just had a gel polish manicure by Tina. She took her time and did a great job. She also said if the nail chips or I have any problems within the next two weeks, they will fix it for free. I also like that they don't charge you to take the old gel polish off if you are getting a repolish. That's good customer service. Most places charge at least $5 to take off the old. The place is decorated really cute. It has that classic beachy theme. You don't see that too often in nail salons. I liked it. I will definitely be back for a repolish and try one of their pedicures that so many people have raved about. I will update my review after I get a pedicure there. read more

DECEMBER 2016 REVIEW UPDATE: So, my second review seven months after my first Sparkle Nails experience, and here's the verdict: AAAHHHHHMAZING!! Seriously, these guys are the best. I got lucky with no wait and sat down for a pedi and gel mani immediately. I mentioned the special I had last time and they said that wasn't running anymore but offered a comparable special to it, with a $10 price difference from the one I had before, so it was basically a non-issue. I opted for the Green Tea pedi like last time because it was a divine experience the first time. I had about a 5-7 minute fresh orange slice and green tea scrub massage. Then an exfoliating hot treatment (leaves your feet baby skin smooth) and then a hot stone massage. Wow! Just, wow!! I cannot sing enough praises for how great this pedicure is, truly. All the while the technician was working on my toes, I had someone come over and do my manicure, without having to request it, very nice. I enjoyed a great chair massage, a couple of Bellini drinks and watched HGTV. Very relaxing and pampering for a young mother of a very active infant! I wish I lived in Sarasota just for this nail salon, honestly! I love, love, love this place!! I will definitely be back again in the summer when we're here again. Highly recommend. Techs worked on me: Kevin (pedi) and Hana (mani). MAY 2016 REVIEW: Best pedicure of my life!! I had a hard time finding a nail salon open on Memorial Day but man did I luck out with Sparkle Nails. I came in for a gel manicure and a pedicure and opted for the Green Tea pedi as recommended by Huey. It was pricey ($55) but the gel only cost $5 extra, so the total ended up being $60. I believe this was a special. Anyway, the pedicure takes about an hour and it is so amazing. Exfoliant scrubs, lotions, massage, hot stones, ahhh pure heaven. My skin is extremely smooth and it's like a whole new layer of baby softness has been exposed. So glad I opted for this pedi, but for me it's definitely a special treat experience. The gel also looks great. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and will definitely return. Oh and the decor is gorgeous and super relaxing. Plus they offer drinks (I had champagne) at no extra charge.
