My husband and I just had the worst pedicure experience ever. It was an assembly line approach at best. His water was ice cold, and they did not soak either of us for a single moment before they began cutting and filing and picking. My polish was not completely removed before my tech started the debacle of a pedi. It was never fully removed before he started the new polish application. My nails look like they all belong on a few different feet due to the irregular shapes and lengths. The polish is so sloppy uneven and missing in spots that as soon as I post this I will be redoing the polish job myself, and I'm terrible at it,... which is why I pay for pedicures. This was my first time getting my nails done since moving to Sarasota a few months ago. Someone recommended it. I asked for a natural S&S manicure with tips. It turned out very chunky and thick and one of my nails is crooked. I didn't want to say anything to the technician at the time because it didn't seem that bad and didn't want to seem picky. The technician was also very aggressive when filing my nails and I left sore and with one of my cuticles bleeding. Even my boyfriend noticed that my nails didn't look quite right. I was treating myself for my birthday and I can't really afford to have somewhere else to fix them so I'm pretty disappointed in the service. Again it is my fault for not saying anything but I'm not sure that I would go back. I can't say that everyone there didn't seem very nice but in the past nail salons don't seem to like it if you critique their work so I was nervous to say anything and just left. read more

I had an excellent experience today. My appointment was for 1230 and I was taken immediately. My technician was Monica and she was very pleasant and helpful with my selections. I particularly enjoyed the shoulder rub at the end of my appointment which was unexpected and delightful. I had a gel manicure and standard pedicure for $56 and was quoted the price before the service was provided. Everything was spotless and I liked the plastic liners on the pedicure tubs for extra protection. I highly recommend Happy Nails and will return. read more

Nothing happy for me. I called and asked if they could remove my gel nails and how much? Was told for $4.00, yes. I scheduled an appointment for lunch time. I end up getting there a bit late due to rain storms and traffic. I did call to let them know I was stuck in traffic was told no problem. It took over 30 minutes to get my gel nails removed. I had to get back to work and needed driving time. I got charged $6.00 not $4.00, even though I called and had an appointment. Nope, not doing that again. Besides that, the staff barely speaks English. The place is very nicely decorated with a new vibe feel. I just don't appreciate the price game. read more

This spot is conveniently located to our home in Siesta Key so I finally gave it a try on my most recent visit. The salon is clean and has several mani and pedi chairs available. Along with gel manicures they also have the OPI infinite shine polish which dries and looks like gel without the UV light. I got that for my manicure and loved it! They offer several spa pedicure options along with massage and reflexology. Only small suggestion is it would have been nice if they offered water, coffee, or tea to me during my pedicure. Totally saved my nail when I was vacationing in Siesta Key. They open just a tad bit later than most on the weekend. I broke a nail pretty badly on a Holiday weekend, a Sunday at that, and they were open the latest (until 7:30pm). I yelped nail salons around my location (Siesta Key) but majority were closing soon and I really needed to get this fix. Yes, it was that bad. I was able to work with the technician Chris and he did an AMAZING job. Not only did he repair my nail, but recommended me a great, fast fix and also told me how to take care and treat my nails (since they are normally thin and brittle) for the long-care so that they are the healthiest! Over the years I've been here a few times. I don't get my nails done every month or every week it's not maintenance for me it's usually a luxury. Each time I've gone the services gotten less and less. Today I treated my friend and I to a manicure pedicure which was $80 plus tip .We did not want to do the spa upgrade and the young man who did my pedicure and manicure was so fast. He never rubbed my arms or my legs ,only my foot and hand was massaged was about two minutes it was so Ineffectual and I was so disappointed.Even when we walked in the door we were barked at to pick a color and they stand there and they want you to do it so quickly and everything is fast because I understand they want to get to the next client but paying $80 should allow you a little luxury a little pampering and I will never go back again. read more

Great color selection and it was clean. However very bad dip manicure. My mom and I have been to a lot of places to get dip and it usually lasts 3-4 weeks for us. This used to be the nail salon I would go to consistently. They always did a good job and I didn't mind paying a bit extra because I always left satisfied. Recently, I have not been quite as satisfied and today my experience will be the last time I use this salon. It started with Angel telling me I had to pay 4 dollars to get my gel polish removed, even though I am getting dipping powder put back on. I understand charging for taking gel polish off if that's all you're doing, but if I'm getting my nails done again it should just be a part of the price. Then I had to ask Angel to fix my middle finger as the tip she applied was completely crooked. Then she charged me an extra 5 dollars because I wanted my nails rounded rather than square. So the total was 47 dollars, which to me is crazy for just having a dipping powder manicure. I will find a place that does not want to nickel and dime for every little piece of the manicure. read more

There are so many salons in this area, that you do not need to subject yourself to this horrible place. They want you to only pay in cash and tip in cash.....strange. I highly recommend the spa pedicure with extra massage time.....you will also receive a complementary shoulder massage at the end of your treatment. Extremely upset with my experience. When walking in, the staff was unwelcoming and unfriendly. No "hello," no "how can we help?" I had asked if I could get my one nail (no-chip) fixed and a polish change on my toes. I asked for help finding a white shade for my toes, to which nobody responded. Then two nail technicians began speaking frantically between themselves, then telling me that they cannot only paint the one finger on my hand, they can only provide the full service. I explained that my nail had peeled off and that I would still be willing to pay a reasonable price. I asked if they could make an exception as they had the same polish and as I am on vacation it would be nice to have pretty nails. I was disappointed to be provided with no explanation, only a sharp "no no no only full service." As someone who enjoys getting their nails done frequently, I do not think I have ever encountered a worse service. If this how the business is run, I am surprised if they will last very long. read more
