Plenty of street parking, at least on a Sunday evening, and easy street-level entry. Pass through a small lobby space and find yourself in a delightful, square-shaped room with tall ceilings, cozy lighting and a feeling of warmth. A kitchen is available for use to the renters, as is a small stage atop which can be found a standing piano, whose sounds carry beautifully throughout the establishment. The room is large enough to host a number of people, tables, chairs, etc.; yet contained enough to feel warm and full.

I remembered a friend of mine had an art show at the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club years back. As I walked past tables filled with art for sale I looked around the place and thought it was charming. Never again did I think back to the venue until I needed one and my original plans felll through. This was the only place I was going to get hitched at because it was all I needed. While it is rather simple inside, it has charm and potential. The main room is the perfect size for small to medium sized gatherings (it can fit 150 seated people). You have a clean slate to work with, all white walls, a stage, and hardwood floors, and the size is manageable enough that you don't feel overwhelmed. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other venues. Many similar venues were higher in price. You rent by the hour and included in the rental are tables, chairs, and use of the kitchen. There is a coat room which was converted into a dressing room for my event and the yard to the side of the building is spacious. Another positive is the venue allows dogs inside. The best thing about the clubhouse? Sheila, the venue coordinator. I can't praise her enough! She responded to my e-mails in a timely manner and answered all of my many questions. She was always available to let me view the venue when I was in the planning stages. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to get married in. It fit my now husband and I's vision of having a fun relaxed DIY wedding.

It's spacious, has all the tables and chairs, has a full-use kitchen with refrigerator. Plus, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, anything you can think of really. My brother-in-law even got married here (loved the place after our baby shower, and the pricing is just too good to be true). If we have another event in the future that requires a big space, we'll definitely rent here again. All these things are reasonable things to be worried about at your space but for you to be a great business and not help your costumers create the event they want is pretty diabolical. You want all this money but really all you can have inside is food drinks and a photo area. For some that's all they need but for $1200+ .... Absolutely NOT. The event space is well maintained even though it is showing its age somewhat. I visit yearly for the Japan Fair in July. Every year, it looks about the same as the year before - good in terms of maintenance, bad in terms of improvements or lack thereof. Other than being a bit dark inside (the place feels very brown), the space serves its purpose. Parking underneath is a rather spendy. $12 for an hour; the incremental hourly cost increase is a lower rate. The elevator is roomy. The stairs say for emergency only, but it is fine to use without triggering alarms. The bathrooms are clean. During the Japan Fair on a weekend, there are janitors working. I might have given them four stars instead of three stars because of this last aspect. Sometimes a venue has no staff despite having an event.

He was patient, helpful, energy was high and positive, let me know multiple times that we were very nice.
