The kitchen space is huge and really helped when it came time for serving dinner. The upstairs wooden dance floor is very vintage (the building is over 100 years old!) but in great condition. There are no drinks or food allowed upstairs nor chairs or tables, which was our only concern when renting. They have wooden pews lined up along the dance floor, but these are not allowed to be moved either. Although, when it came to cleaning up I was so happy knowing I didn't have anything to clean upstairs! The couple that volunteers is absolutely amazing, they were on time and Dee answered all of our phone calls. I truly believe that they provide their best attitude when renting and they were super professional when handing off the keys to us morning of our ceremony. We rented the hall from 8-8 (24 hours) for $650 and a $300 refundable deposit, which we DID get back. They let us bring back the keys at 9am to allow my husband and I to sleep in. I would recommend this hall to other military brides out there planning a wedding on a low budget. Overall pleasant couple to rent from and wonderful hall with plenty of space!

You berated my MofH for being the 1st one to show up with her husband n tell her I was a bitch & bridezilla for calling the headquarters for Ur lack of courtesy. Then telling my father who didn't feel like I did anything wrong when I called Karen or Nancy at grange. He politely excused himself as he doesn't punch old ladies, but I would've if I had heard this. then to my husband u said I was a bridezilla again. To add injury to insult you continued to be rude by calling me a bitch when I walked by when I said u need to be on time n do Ur job. We knew u were going to pull craps as I can call a spade anytime. We were in by 930 half hr as we stated. We were supposed to have rental for 24hr we were told, but finished early. stayed till 7 cleaning with his sister, brothers brother in law, nieces n nephews, my father, myself, bridal party, n cousins who all swept, mopped and bleached scrubbed the floors n kitchen n took out trash even from the folks upstairs who were not supposed to have food up from friday there and told my husband & I quote" I'll never rent to that bitch again. You are not welcome here. You call this cleaning?" My other half asked what she was talking about and she said garbage was everywhere. 60 guests n all witnesses that saw us cleaning u as they too were helping. I work all day with liars but you simply are fraudulent n pocketing money for yourself. Then told him the floors were disgusting so my husband said politely that he'd clean. She said" no, I have 2 pay 4 cleaneing person. After she made him 're-mop the floors that were bleached n cleaned by my sister in law. My dad hauled if truckload of garbage n there was food n beverage I. Fridge that was not ours. Then didn't give deposit back. Never rent from any grange. Sounded Too good to be true n we were right. You were in the wrong but I'm now going to make a formal complaint to every review I can link as folks should know she's pocketing money and cheating people out if theirs simply because she was called out on her shady practice. Not sure if it was race issue as I'm not caucasiam but she went off on my Caucasian friends but mainly because she was mad I called the grange for help. Wow, unprofessional, childish and a cheat are all poor qualities in running a business that need the money. Refund for that would be nice from her pocket. $900??? Anyone else. I felt that the venue overall was quite good - it has lots of space, nice decorations (some leftover from holiday related events). The sound quality for our DJ was also good, and we were able to have all our guests comfortably seated for the ceremony - then up and dancing after dinner. Here are my pros and cons to consider: Pros: - inviting venue with a city, alley feel - lots of space for 100-200 people - pretty rooftop available for nighttime wedding photo shoot upon request - close to Pioneer Square / downtown - lots of solid hotels / accommodations - reasonable price as compared to other downtown venues Cons: - lack of organization - staff doesn't respond to emails about price quotes or payment - price quotes constantly change - unprofessional business practices - two months after wedding - still waiting on final bill / invoice - food was decent but not worth the price Tips - If you fall in love with the space / location, try to save double whatever you're quoted at. The venue will likely have all kinds of reasons for price increases (some of them probably relevant). Also, ask for all invoices printed in writing prior to the event if possible. I'm an uptight person when it comes to spending, so the cons listed really bothered me. If you're more laid back when it comes to spending, you might have a better experience. All in all, I'm still very happy with our wedding. And, most importantly, I'm thrilled to marry my wife who loved everything about our special night. My review is meant to be totally honest, and it doesn't mean that I wasn't happy with how things went. My hope is that the venue figures out how to improve some of their processes.
