New Hope Thrift Store was on the to-do list today. We came in a little late as we only had an hour or so before closing (5pm on Saturdays). We were like 40 min out but I saw this place advertised on Social media - yes I try to confirm the hype. I am not sure if I would come back again. I don't like repeats if I don't feel welcomed. Maybe due to the fact we popped in an hour before closing-when we walked in, the person at the front counter, just glanced at us and quickly looked away. No smile at all, no "hello" or " welcome". When you drive 40 minutes out to check out a place, it would be nice to come into a welcoming environment at entry. I did like the selection of women's dresses and clothes. I did not have time to look at all the vinyls, but it seemed like they had a really good selection. A lot of DVDs, some cool VHS movies. They had this big closet of board games. It's a nice little spot. I wish they had more springtime goodies as that was my goal, to find Easter or springtime items. I guess for vintage, the prices can be on the fair side. My daughter wanted a couple stickers and I think that $1 dollar per sticker is a little bit high. I went to a place recently that gave you four stickers for $1, with a similar selection offered. They have a cute ring selection, $5.99 per ring. Actually, they have a really cute overall jewelry selection. Rings, necklaces, bracelets, a few watches and earrings. I really liked the jewelry section. I would probably take a trip to come out for more jewelry TBH. When it was time to purchase, the front counter person, seemed to spark up a personality, lol, so the ending wasn't too bad. After purchase, then I felt like a welcomed customer. read more

If there was an "absolutely" recommended button, I'd use it! What a great little shop. Do clean and organized. But the best part of this business is its compassion for the community. A homeless lady walked to the counter and the Owner gave her the items for free! If that's not enough, he told her to look around and take what she needed! If you're looking for somewhere to donate your gently used items, please donate here. Need to shop for something for yourself, when you purchase from New Hope, you're really giving hope to others. I saw it with my own eyes. I was touched by the respect he spoke to this woman. She left with needed clothes and restored dignity, I'm sure. I don't live nearby, but I will definitely be back! It's nice and organized and the people who work there are super friendly! just not very found of the prices with prices like these not many people can really afford what they have there.. like the Knick Knacks there are beautiful! But if people are donating their items and you just overprice it then I doubt people will buy it because people who normally thrift do it because they're on a budget and this place isn't really budget friendly. read more

If you like hunting for treasures, you will like coming to New Hope. If you love to thrift, this is the place for you. I love thrifting because I love finding great deals. Trust me, I've found super awesome designer deals when I'm thrifting just about anywhere. You gotta have the patience to do it. If you don't, then you are SOL aka sh*t out of luck. Trust me, I love finding deals at bargain prices especially now a days. Prices for everything has skyrocketed. Even if I have money, I'm very careful on how I spend it. I grew up to be a very frugal person, and I won't lift a dollar until I find every way possible in making it worth it. I'm that type of person. Just cause I have money, I ain't gonna go all out just because. It's crazy how inflation can change so many things. Everything is 50% off right now. I don't know for how long, but you can find some pretty good deals. I found a pair of Coach shoes at $14.99 but with the 50% off I would've paid $7.99. BUT too bad they weren't my size. It's a size 9 and I'm a 6. I would've snatched them in a heartbeat if they were my size. They were the perfect shade of pink too. This place right now has a $1 bin but also you can also fill up a bag and they will only charge you $4. They have a variety of clothes ranging from men's, women's and kids clothes. They also have a shoe bin that is $5 I believe. I didn't really have the time to dig into this bin today, but I might come back in the near future and have a look. The interior is pretty organized. They have a nice range of dresses, tops, sweatpants, kids clothes and shoes. You just have to have the time of the day to actually dig through. They have a nice selection of decors for the house also. I did manage to get a cat figurine and a nice vintage pearl necklace. I paid $8.65 for. It's the items cause everything was 50% off.
