I've been coming here for years, but had a particularly delightful experience today that encouraged me to write my review. I don't think this has always been the case, but New Horizons now let's you book your appointments online which is SO convenient. Also, I arrived at my appointment a bit early and was actually seen right away. I also had a new hygienist today, Renee, who was GREAT! She had so much energy but was also so knowledgeable and helpful. Finally, although I appreciate Dr. Estwani, there was a new dentist in the place of the usual Friday dentist and she was really wonderful (I unfortunately don't remember her name). Seemed like she paid extra attention and was also extremely friendly. Other than that, office was clean and filled with lots of modern tech as always. read more

(+) - I have been coming here for the past 4 years and Dr. Isam Estwani has always treated me well. He is friendly, informative, and uses all the latest technology. This office is a 30 minute drive form my house but I continued to come because of their technology and amenities. There is a TV above each dental chair and the chairs have a vibrating massage to help relax you during your cleanings. (-) - The front staff used to be a lot friendlier a couple years back. Recently I notice the staff is younger, impatient, and rude. They are the reason I am no longer going to make the 30 minute drive to come here. They have been impatient when I have tried to make appointments and needed to reschedule. If they offered a date that did not work for me, it seemed like I was bothering them or wasting their time - isn't this there job? I can't be the only patient to ever have to reschedule. Life happens! - Technology and Communication - This dental office OVER COMMUNICATES regarding appointment reminders. Not only do I received several emails, text messages and voicemails reminding me of my appointment leading up to the date, but NOW if I do not call them back to confirm, they apparently up and cancel your appointment without warning. In the past, it has been a nuisance to receive ALL of these reminders but I would just ignore them and then show up to my appointment on time without issue. The same thing happened this past week, however, this time when I showed up for my appointment, the young brunette at the front desk snapped at me as soon as I checked in: Rude Brunette at front desk: "You need to give us a better phone number bc we have been trying to reach you about your appointment and since we never heard from you, we cancelled your appointment but you are luck that we have an opening, just sit and wait a few minutes" Me - taken aback by the rude greeting: "I have always received many calls from this office, the voicemails have never said that my appointment would be cancelled if I don't respond. Not only that but I received both an email and a text message 60 minutes ago telling me that my appointment is confirmed and that you look forward to seeing me today" Nice Blonde at front desk: "We apologize, this is a new policy we have implemented" So I go sit down since the brunette told me they can see me. After waiting 45 minutes I went to the nice blonde and told her I do not have more time to wait and walked out. I will never return. I am not sure if she was having a bad day but she should not have been so abrasive. It ruined my mood that day! Not only that, but don't tell me you cancelled my appointment and then still send me a text and email an hour before my appointment telling me you look forward to seeing me. read more

I'm a new patient with New Horizons and was seen earlier today by Dr. Estwani. I have been to many dentists over the years, and this office was by far the best experience I've ever had. Check-in was easy, and I really loved that they introduced their entire team to me. It was a nice touch! I was promptly taken back for my appointment and felt at ease the entire time. I went in for a cavity fill and was given a break down of exactly what my costs would be before any services were performed. I highly recommend New Horizons Dental Center! Honestly could not believe some of the bad reviews here, seemed to be character assassinations. Folks the truth is I have been a patient of Dr; Estwani and the New Horizon dental center for about 7 years. Let me tell you this, they have Modernized equipment, trained professional staff. They are pleasant to talk to and its almost always peaceful and quite in the waiting area (sometimes parents bring their kids to the play area). During this time I have gotten married and me and my wife had lots of work done here. We are happy with the results and are happier they provided us with invisalign instead of the old traditional braces. If you are looking for things done right and good care taken. Love love this dentist. I went in for a mercury filling removal with Dr. Kaur and she was so patient with me and explained the process to me and I have had so much energy since then!! My bite after the filling wasn't closing properly and she patiently fixed it making several adjustments. The receptionist and all the other staff were superb and I received the most friendly greeting I have ever received (especially for a dentist office). The feedback survey they sent was too long so I gave up but decided to post up on Yelp instead. read more

I was having severe pain from a dead or dying tooth, I called the office, they had an opening, and I was seen the same day. Dr. Estwani painstakingly removed the infected nerve root that was causing my pain, referred me to the appropriate specialist, and under-charged me. So I can't see how the previous reviewer could possibly say the place is a scam. Dr. Estwani has the highest integrity of any dentist I've ever dealt with; I'm certain he would not recommend a procedure unless it was necessary. In addition, the whole staff is very professional, considerate, and helpful. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Estwani to anyone seeking a top-quality dentist. read more

Hands down Dr Estwani is the best. I have had all sort of dental procedures done by him with 100% success. He has done several crowns and perfect bite adjustments. He also gave me an amazing smile by remodeling my front teeth. He is very honest and straight forward. (I posted this under Dr. Estwani listing too) I have never had a more positive medical professional/office experience in my life. I should say I generally don't fully trust most medical professionals as I have had many bad experiences. This might have been evident when I drilled (pun intended) Dr Estwani about why he was giving the treatment recommendations he did. Though we were only talking about redoing 3 old fillings that were failing, nothing extensive, he took a considerable amount of time (after I was already late) to sit down with me and answer every one of my questions I had written down. He explained a number of dental concepts in plain language and prepared me for any complications that could come up. I wanted to wait until this second visit until I gave a review because some places are nice to get you in, then don't care once they get you. Second visit for the fillings was great and my first exam visit was very impressive as well. They took me in on the dot for my appointment time. The hygienist Mina(?) was incredibly nice and even took the time to give me a quick tour and introduce the staff. She was very thorough in going through my history and when she and the doctor were presenting elective procedures (Invisalign, soft tissue screening) they were not pushy about it. The equipment is up to par too. I was having mercury fillings removed and they had a whole crazy setup to reduce exposure for them and me. I will say they aren't cheap. Maybe I'm not used to city pricing. However, because I was paying out of pocket, they even went so far as to give me a discount since I didn't have insurance. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I came here looking for a new dentist and overall in the beginning it was very nice however I got a filling done because my previous metal feeling was not good that feeling caused me pain and sensitivity I came back and had it refilled and it's still having pain into the tivity I came back again in 2 weeks just to have them tell me to come back again in 2 weeks I wasted my drive coming here just to tell them that I need to wait another two weeks to make sure it is fully healed they could have told me this on the phone I do not live close by and the Doctor Who did my tooth was not even there read more

I have recommend him over and over again. My family has been using the New Horizons Dental for about 4 years and have never had any problem with the doctor or the staff. I had been seeing a dentist who told me I needed to replace my bridge every 10 yrs. I started seeing Dr. Estwani and he has never told me that I need to replace my bridge, I have had my bridge for 25 yrs. The only thing I have been told is that I need my teeth cleaned and a night guard. When I was considering new insurance plan I took all the companies and their policy plans over to the office and Sylvia explained the policies and recommended which one would be best for my family. I have had no issues or problems with Dr. Estwani or his staff. I was there yesterday, 5/19/2015, to get my teeth cleaned and whitened. read more

New Horizons Dental Center and Dr. Jefferies have by far the best customer service that I have encountered in a dental practice. The staff is professional, courteous and compassionate. I've been going to the dentist for over 45 years. It can be a very uncomfortable experience. I have had only good and comfortable experiences at my appointments with Dr. Jefferies and his staff. The facility is state of the art and his prices are reasonable. I highly recommend New Horizons and I don't say that lightly. read more

i've been to my fair share of dentists over the years. none as good as estwani. i started going here *before* i had dental insurance (and for a root canal, no less- oh how i paid) and i'm still rating this place a 5. they were willing to work with me on payments for that procedure, though i chose to pay it off asap, and they offered me "in house insurance" that for a reasonable price (i can't remember the amount but it was reasonable, say about 200) allowed me to get routine cleanings and exams. once i got dental insurance i got all 4 wisdom teeth removed. in a heated leather massage chair with a TV on the ceiling. in under 20 minutes flat. with just local anesthetic. and no pain. granted, my wisdom teeth were easy, but still- that's impressive. my point is, this office is as pleasant as dentistry gets. i have never walked away from a procedure in pain (numb, sure, but not in pain), never gotten anything more than local anesthetic (even for the root canal), and never felt negatively towards this practice. the attendants are largely talkative and pleasant, i already mentioned the crazy amazing setup, and they really seem to have a positive office atmosphere. and of course, the dentists (there are 2) really do strive to make their work as pain free and pleasant as possible. also, for the nerds out there like me, they also seem genuinely interested in what they do. an example of that is when i went for an x-ray before my wisdom teeth removal, they had just gotten a brand new (super awesome) x-ray machine. i was the lucky first user. alllll the attendants and both dentists gathered around to watch the machine in action (and me look stupid with the leather bib on and half drooling after the numbing shots) and they were legit SO excited. it was a lot of fun. yes, i had FUN getting my wisdom teeth removed. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star! They were excellent at first and I've been going there for 2 years. When my temporary crown broke all the sudden I became a liability not a patient. When my insurance had questions and they wanted me to pay out of pocket red flags went up! I have an exposed filed down tooth in the "front" of my mouth with the bridge falling off! It was heartbreaking to see how an issue that I had no control over could caused them to treat a regular patient with 2 insurance companies with such disregard. They actually wanted me to continue going to the office to work on other issues, like the next deep cleaning, or a crown; which was never told to me before, and to ignore the broken falling out of my mouth TEMPORARY bridge! It's as if they wanted to perform every procedure that was covered by my insurance except the one that was most obvious, but the issue they didn't want to have anything else to do with. I'd even referred people there. I truly regret that! read more

UPDATE: After posting this review, I received a personal call from Dr. Estwani. He apologized for the care I had received and we had a conversation about my experience and billing problems. He apologized sincerely and zeroed out my outstanding balance as well as sent a follow-up card and apology. He explained they had experience staff turnover and urged me to give New Horizons a second try. After his call and the personal care he demonstrated, I will give the business another try because I was impressed by his personal outreach and apology. read more

This is by far the worst dental practice I have ever been to. I recently moved to the area from Texas and looking for a place near by I came across this practice. They are a total SCAM!! from the moment I walked in their old and stuck in the 90's year decoration to the front desk which was a disaster! I had called in days before to make an appointment and was answered by some girl who took all my information including my social security card number yet when I came in for my appointment they had to do it all over again. ZERO organization especially when it comes to sensitive information. They have no consideration of peoples time and are rude and unprofessional. And not to mention the other girl was also dealing with another unhappy patient while there. It was a sign and I should have known better then to stay. I became upset at their lack of professionalism and their "manager" who just gave off such a fake concern attitude almost made me want to laugh in her face. As I walked away she took her anger out one of the poor girls in the front. Finally when seated I lay on the chair for 20 min before anyone came back to the room and stared at the old grimy rusty lamp light over me. DISGUSTING! Pretty sure a violation to health and hygiene. Oh forgot to mention I called to see Dr. Estwani and was basically forced to see Dr. Brown (the new doctor) and by new I mean fresh out of college with ZERO EXPERIENCE. She was extremely rude and so arrogant in her demeanor. she spoke to her assists as servants rather than co partner workers. You could tell they weren't very fond of her and I sure don't blame them. She was very careless in her work and made it very uncomfortable. She didn't answer any of my questions and after going to another dental office came to realize she is a liar too. She said I needed six fillings and when I went to a different dentist who actually knows what they are doing it turns out I only needed two. They are just trying to make money of of you. After doing some research and speaking with my new dentist he explained these doctors are part of a corporation that owns many practices for dentists fresh out of college or who basically cant afford to won their own practices due probably to the bad service and lack of knowledge in their field. These "doctors" also have quotas to meet Oh and this is the 3rd practice this doctor has had with a different name WONDER WHY???? I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. Who knows if they even sterilize their tools or clean their rooms from patient to patient. Their lamp that hangs so close to your mouth is disgusting who knows what else we don't see is also poorly cleaned. When I finally was leaving this place they charged me an amount so ridiculous and when asked about it and where it came from they couldn't even tell me. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM THE DOCTOR THAT HELPED ME IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND A COMPLETE JERK. Do you yourself a favor and go somewhere clean professional with doctors who have experience and are not money hungry!!! I will make sure to never recommend anyone to this place ever! read more
