It's been a year since New Horizons put red oak 2 1/2" flooring in our dining room and study, two of our first floor rooms and refinished all of our downstairs hardwood floors to match the finish. They also took out a number of existing oak boards from the foyer and matched them to the new boards in these rooms so they are seamless and look as if everything was installed at the same time! John also recommended a water based commercial grade polyurethane and I'm so impressed by its durability. 18 months and it still looks like they just finished. They also took our old dated wooden handrail balusters and replace them with a more modern metal style giving the entire living space a much more modern appearance. They did a great job. The only negative comment I have is they don't do their own painting. I did that myself and it turned out fine. There was a slight miscommunication about some damaged trim that had been done by the previous owner's dog but John made it right in the end. They weren't the cheapest bid I got but they weren't the most expensive either and I feel the quality of their work was well worth what we paid. With four bids there's was next to the top but well below the top price and the two low bidders didn't instill much confidence. Our first job involved replacing/updating a mixture of flooring types throughout half of our house, including ripping out old tile for most of it, after a water leak forced a remodel. John was extremely knowledgeable in orchestrating the multi-phase work to get it done quickly since we were unexpectedly launched into the task of fixing/updating things while trying to coordinate delivery of new cabinets in our kitchen. They were open to working with flooring we found from another source and that we supplied ourselves while they handled the little stuff (grout, etc.). Once all the major work was done (floors, cabinets, countertops), we needed someone to come back and install our new backsplash for the finishing touch. I first had them do my wood floors and then rehired them for 2 additional projects. John and his team were wonderful to work with. This is in response to Mr. Jeremy L I spoke with Jeremy and he explain to me some of the things that he was not happy with we had a good conversation and I told him that if he would've given me a chance and called us to let us know of some of the things we would've taken care of those some of what were his concerns were just misunderstandings as opposed to his responsibility and our responsibility we would've taken care of Mr. Jeremy L if he would've called us to give us the opportunity to take care of Some floor issues of his concern under his fridge raider and stove and would've removed a few boards left in his garage. I recently had a major tile project completed by New Horizons Flooring Company where I was having two bathrooms remodeled simultaneously. After researching other companies and receiving other estimates, it was a relief to have the owner John come out and give an estimate. We decided to replace our laminate kitchen / dining area floor with a red oak hardwood floor. We also had the hardwood floor extend into a hallway, on our stairs leading to the second floor and in a hallway on the second floor. New Horizons removed the kitchen and hall laminate and the carpeting on the stairs and upstairs hall. The hardwood was stained a color we chose and the final product is gorgeous! The owner went above and beyond to fix the issue with the supplier and complete the job by the date he had promised. His staff was also very professional and did excellent work. New horizons flooring did a great job refinishing our full living room and hallway hard wood refinished as well as removing a tile section and refinishing the wood. The refinished wood was brought back after 20 years of carpet over the hard wood. The New Horizons did a perfect job including blending the refinished hardwood with existing bedroom hardwood. We had New Horizons Flooring repair and refinish the hardwood floor that was in about half of our first floor. We also had them install new hardwood in the other half of the floor so that the entire floor is now hardwood. NHF was very easy to work with. The results are great!
