Aspen installed our hardwood when we moved into this house eight years ago. Since then, many people have commented on the quality of the install, even other contractors and professionals in the business that know what they're looking for. We have used Aspen to refinish the wood once about five years ago, and are doing it again this year just because we are changing the footprint of the rooms and need some additional flooring and staining done. If we weren't changing the footprint, I would not be re-staining or anything because the wood floors simply look amazing still. They painted most of my interior walls, pulled up old carpet, refinished existing wood floors and added new wood where there had not been any originally. I will for sure use Aspen Hardwood Flooring for all of my hardwood projects. We have used them twice, and each time the work has been flawless. Each time, they are on time to your home, which I find is unusual in this business. Their prices were very fair. The work is excellent. The first time, they installed traditional 2 1/4 inch red oak to match the wood that was original to our 1955 Berkeley Ranch home. The boards were flush with one another, the finish was gorgeous, and the guys that worked on the floors cleaned up everything. The second installation was to match some tigerwood bamboo that was installed in the living room/kitchen but not the hallway. They removed the transition piece and the new wood lis perfectly lined up with the old wood. It actually was installed much much better than the original installation. I had said to them that I wished that they installed the rest of the wood from the get go. The owner, Alvaro, and his whole crew are so nice. I felt very comfortable to leave them to work in my house. You would be a fool not to choose Aspen Hardwoods for any hardwood installation or refinishing job. I have remodeled 4 homes in Denver, and these guys are better than any other company I have used in the past. They will be the only company I will use from here on out. I called two places to get a quote on repairing, installing oak hardwood, and restoring a Douglas Fir floor. Alvaro called me within a few hours after my inquiry, and made an appointment to see the floors in the same day. Meanwhile, 3 days later I got a call from the other guys. Alvaro's team did a fantastic job they replaced half of my water damaged oak floors in the hallway, integrating it with the existing floor, the hallway is now unified and beautiful. We had used Aspen Deck & Hardwood 12 years ago and had such a great experience, we brought them back when we bought a new home. I Asked Alvaro for a quote on a number of projects, the main one being extending the existing pre-finished hardwood floors. I have been trying to reach Alvaro, both through the office and his cell number, for over two months. He won't return my calls/texts or the piece of baseboard molding he took to try to find a match. The matching of floors turns out to be a much more difficult project than first thought. Given that, I would have expected Alvaro to tell us, he can't match, but he can lay down all new sand and stain flooring. He instead has ignored our requests. I am disappointed at the professionalism and will no longer refer him or his company to friends and clients. read more

Based on Stephanie G's 10-23-14 review, I called Aspen for a floor refinishing estimate, with cat pee problem areas. Alvaro was very thorough and friendly in his estimations, and on time. I went with Aspen because they could do the job for me the soonest. Alvaro's crew (Tereso) was also very thorough and conscientious. I happened to be home while he was sanding, and was not afraid to stick my nose in the former cat pee spots to make sure they did not smell. Those places came out fine--it was the 10 year old+ dog pee areas I had not even known existed, that suddenly posed a serious problem. No other solution than to cut out the rotten section and replace. Thank goodness they agreed to do it, and for a very fair price. In the freezing snow, Alvaro went to get the hardwood pieces that matched my hardwood floors perfectly, while Tereso cut out not only the rotten hardwood, but also the rotten plywood underlayment as well. They took this extra work in stride to help me out and do a great job, and I could not thank them enough. I had no problem leaving them to work alone in my house. Then, the final product was amazing, and I was so pleased with the new floors I only wished I could have had them do the bedrooms too. The floor looks so perfect and brand new that I have to repaint my walls now! Finally, after all this, while moving my super heavy credenza back into place, I actually scratched this masterpiece floor. I was heartbroken, but asked Alvaro if he could buff it out. It was not that easy--he had to buff the entire floor again, then refinish entire floor once more. He agreed to do this no problem and of course did another great job. In short, if you want a hardworking crew that truly goes out of their way to make sure your floors are amazing--call Aspen! I would definitely work with them again and will recommend to all my friends and family. They will not let you down, and the job they do will amaze you! read more
