There's a Groupon you can use for a $20 Brazilian wax (it may be cheaper) only buy it once because they keep track and only allow you to use that coupon once a year. You are allowed to gift the coupon to someone else in that same year (for a total of 2 purchases a year) allowing them to use it, which was what I did for a friend's birthday and her first time. The waxes aren't that painful. I requested aloe wax. The rooms are clean and they also have a salon attached. They sell all types of beauty products in the waiting area that seem a bit overpriced. The only reason I opted to give 4 stars is be because the receptionist lacks professionalism. She's a young girl who seems to be learning her footing, but she was rude to many of the guests that were waiting before me trying to solve a payment issue. I went there for the first time last week for a Brazilian wax. The place is clean and the staff is nice, but the esthetician burned my vulva. The wax was done with a combination of hard and soft wax, but she went over the areas she soft waxed more than once which is not the proper protocol since soft wax not only removes hair but a layer of your skin as well. LOVE LOVE this place! I come here a lot! I've done a lot of different things here, waxes, nails, hair, makeup, etc! The staff is always extremely friendly and the place is very welcoming and clean. They speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese so don't worry if you are not great at one language. My favorite wax lady has been Monica, she is great at her job! I also really like the Brazilian girl that does waxes but I'm not sure how to pronounce her name, i believe it started with the letter L. The prices are very reasonable here too! They accept credit cards, Apple Pay, or cash. I like to make reservations but I do believe they accept walk ins too if they are not too busy. I have gotten my pedicures with both Alina and Karina, both are very professional and I always leave happy! A while back I was getting my hair cut here and they told me they also do makeup so I decided to try it out because I was going to a special event that night. And wow was I impressed! I should have paid attention to the reviews before going here! It doesn't even look that bad on the outside nor do the photos which is why I was convinced I would have a better experience. But no. I essentially went to get a facial with my bff and the one single esthetician decided he was going to do us at the same time which is fine but it kind of took away from the personal time he could've used to pay more attention to our individual needs. He didn't really speak much which was alarming for me because if someone is putting stuff on my face that doesn't know me or my skin, they should communicate what they're using to see if I am comfortable considering I have sensitive skin, instead of me having to ask questions every five minutes to figure out what is being applied. Also, my friend mentioned aloud and asked if the esthetician smoked (during treatment) because his hands slightly smelled like cigarettes, granted she has a heightened sense of smell but you should know you're about to touch someone's face so wash your hands properly. He also used the same sponges on each of our faces, they looked and felt old, so I'm not sure how sanitary this place actually is. I definitely will not be going back and if you're looking for a breathtaking experience you'll have a better one having spa night in your home, using your own tools that you know are clean, with your girlfriends. read more

Couples massage was not very good. There was no pressure applied, it felt like I was just getting lotion rubbed on me. No professional techniques used at all. We did the jacuzzi after, the water was only warm, jets were cold, remote or screen did not work, the cookies were ok, they have Hershey kisses and some cheap cookies . DO NOT GET BRAZILIAN WAX HERE!!! I saw their Groupon package for Brazilian wax, then saw the price was the same as regular on their website $25. The receptionist did a poor job leaving a bunch of hairs behind saying I can do it myself at home (tweezing) if I have time but she is tired of doing it and won't use the wax anymore not to irritate my skin. The next day my skin still burns and I wake up to scabs on my outer labia. This was November 18. It has now been almost a month and you can still see a bit of discoloration on my labia. I hope I will not be permanently scarred. I don't understand how this happened. I'm attaching a zoomed in picture of one side. Don't be fooled I don't have a skin condition those are scabs from all the bleeding. 7/11 UPDATE: Salon called my sister at the beginning of the week expressing their apologies. The nail tech has been FIRED! They also offered my sister a free service to make up for her poor experience at the salon dealing with the nail tech. She received a pedicure and it was really. nice (honestly lol). They expressed how much they love and respect Black lives and their dedication to the Newark community. They discussed several strategies of how to avoid similar situations from occurring, including anti-discrimination training for their employees. I commend the way they responded to the situation. Although the nail tech had poor character and was racist, that does not reflect the entirety of the salon. They stated that hate, racism, disrespect, and bigotry has no place at the business and they will not tolerate such acts from their employees or customers, ultimately fired her a day after that incident. They have been continuously apologetic and also offered great service (Hence, why my sister has been going there for 3-4 years). They also offer water, drink, or tea to all their customers. At the end of all of this, I want you all to consider where you are investing your money into. How do the company/organization you are investing your money into responding to situations like this. We know that racism is a major issue in the world (especially in this country) and is very systemic. We have the power to change and shape the narrative and support people/business who does whatever necessary to celebrate and protect BLACK Lives being as though that they are the most disregarded, disadvantaged, and continuously disrespected. That includes making examples and firing people who are ill-willed, disrespectful, and racist. The steps that this salon took after the incident was good. Therefore, I want you all to continue to support this business and experience the services at this salon first before making a judgment. If I could I would give this place no stars. My nails look awful, the worst they have ever been. I got gel polish. The woman did not speak English at all. And the tools she wanted to use for the manicure were NOT STERILIZED! I am a tattoo artist and you can get hepatitis as lots of other bacterial infections from dirty manicure tools. When I noticed the tools were in a dirty Tupperware wear container I told her no manicure and polish change only. Save your money go somewhere else. This place was a terrible experience. UPDATING MY REVIEW TO REFLECT THE DISGRACEFUL EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THE OWNER: Long story short, the associate charged my credit card twice. Once this posted to my account I contacted the spa via phone and was told to come in for the refund. However, when I arrived, the owner proceeded to deny me my refund! I called my credit card company to verify the duplicate charged and allowed her to talk to them. She then made me wait 25 mins while she called her bank to find out why she only had one receipt & kept asking her bank to ensure that her giving me a refund wouldn't result in loss of both payments!!This is wrong on so many levels! She has already acknowledged that I was charged twice but was only willing to refund the duplicate charge after having lengthy conversation with her back about why this happened Never mind the fact that I was there in her establishment clearly in the right, inconvenienced!
