The next thing I knew I was forced into the car and found myself driving her to Los Alamitos. This quick review is just for the fabric portion of the store. They are a small shop, not nearly as large as JoAnne Fabrics was, but they have a surprisingly large selection of fabrics to choose from, as well as a vast array of remnants. My wife found several fabrics that she loved and purchased multiple yards of. The women who work here were extremely helpful and congenial, providing exceptional customer service. They also sell sewing machines and a plethora of sewing accessories. I think the non-fabric items are sold by the Sewing Lab side of the business but honestly I was a bit confused about the division, but it really doesn't matter as it's all available for purchase.

We also purchased some glorious patterned fabric to cover pads and cushions in our "cuddle puddle". We've gotten wonderful feedback on how our Hall looks! When we first approached Rex Fabrics in 2019, we had no idea what the process for buying fabric was - in fact we just walked in the front door! The staff was very accommodating of our basic questions, helped us examine a broad array of fabric choices (they have so, so many, including in many wonderful colors and patterns), and we felt made us a fair price. When we needed to return a couple of years later to add more fabric to our structure, the Rex team was able to retrieve our previous order quickly to help us get more of what we needed. We will definitely be back if we have any more fabric needs!

This is definitely a crafty [raver] girl's dream!…read more I was on the hunt looking for some long-pile faux fur to make my Halloween costume (foxie!). I was looking all over the Fashion District with not much luck. Even Michael Levine, one of the largest fabric stores didn't carry any. I was just about to give up...until I turned the corner. City Fabric carried over 20+ faux furs! All sorts of colors to cover the entire rainbow, animals prints, and even some psychedelic prints. It's very soft and plush quality faux fur. I can't stop feeling this stuff. Prices are way reasonable. It's $15 per yard (for basic long pile solid color, prints can be more), but the length is about 5 feet long. Compared to $22 a yard at Jo-Ann's for a much smaller piece. Such a bargain. Downside is that you have to buy a minimum of 1 yard per selection. Looks like I'll be making lotta furry things haha. Parking can be a pain, and you'll end up having to spend $5, unless you get lucky with a meter for less. But the selection of fake furs is definitely worth the trip.
