Hard to find a good place near work and I stumbled upon this little gem it did not disappoint at all I was looking for a simple breakfast and I ordered the Ham, Egg, and Cheese sandwich on Cuban bread and it was delish as well as the Beef empanada for my coworker who enjoyed it very much. Service was friendly and will be returning as there are options I would like to try and the vibe is a good happy one..

    Here for lunch 1st time.

This is my 1st visit here. Came with coworkers for lunch. Had the Cuban sandwich with fries and a cafe con leche. The staff was pleasant the sandwich was very tasty, the bread was a little to wet for me but overall very good, the fries were..well...they were fries, nothing special The cafe con leche was perfect! The prices were good. Will I return? Your damn right I will! I wasnt to try the steak sandwiche! And another cafe con leche plz!

Sunday funday I'd say! What a pleasant surprise this was when we first stepped into this quaint little Cafeteria-Panadera-Deli/Latin Bakery and Sandwich shop. This is the busiest looking 6 table inside and several table outside joint you can imagine. The staff is very polite and helpful which is a big plus and has a very definite Latin flair to it. The menu is extensive with Breakfast and Lunch specials along with an array of sandwiches American and Latin. We ordered the Chivito Original, Bistec special and a Chicken Milanesa Special. We also ordered the Cafe con Leche, Cold Chocolate and a Diet Coke. All our meals were DEELISH!! That was a very filling lunch and extremely reasonable as our entire meal was only $ 33 WITH tax!! (See the attached Menu with pricing in my photos) YELPERS I'd encourage you to try out this place or get a take out from here and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed!! We will Definitely be back!

This was such a fun experience... meeting some fellow yelp friends for an afternoon of coffee and snacks. We got there at three pm and they closed at 4 -- so of course, we moved the conversation to their outside tables. Meanwhile inside, I chose a quince cookie only cause I'd never had one before. It was okay. My favorite was my second choice -- a coconut pastry. Perfectly light and airy layers. We got to taste a bunch of other choices -- as my friends were more than willing to share. The bakery shelves are full of all sorts of delectables and I understand they change frequently. In addition, they offer lunch and breakfast options. I was gifted a beef empanada (they have fish, chicken, cheese, etc. options too) which I had later at home as part of my dinner and it was wonderful when reheated in my toaster oven. The other savory sandwich that I really liked was their "miga". The one I tried was white bread with the crusts cut off and filled with ham and cheese. Think a thin, flattened, tea sandwich. I definitely would have that again. My friends really enjoyed their coffees. I'm a decaf person, so I felt it would be sacrilege even to ask.. but both the expresso and the cappuccino looked amazing and smelled wonderful! I do love the aroma of coffee, don't you? Prices are quite reasonable. It's a small cozy, restaurant. You might need to be adventurous-- just point and try something if you don't understand the translations. And bring your sweet tooth.

Very impressive. The staff is multilingual. The coffee con Leche is perfect. Breakfast is awesome. Service is always good. Prices are extremely low. I'll keep coming back again and again.

For starters: New Jersey Deli 2, like the original New Jersey Deli & Grocery in Oakland Park, has nothing to do with New Jersey beyond it being the first home of the owner's relocation from Uruguay to the U.S.A. So, if you're expecting "Jersey" affectations -- Salt water taffy, pork roll on burger buns, big haired waitresses or the Boss' "Born to Run" on the sound system -- sorry you'll be disappointed. However, whether you're a Jersey fan or not, I highly recommend a visit to NJD2. Because the service is sweet, the prices are low, and food is very delicious. Unlike its parent location, there's no "grocery" here, only deli and restaurant food offerings. While the casual food highlights Uruguayan -- a new cuisine for me -- it's also incorporating Cuban and other Latin American countries' cuisines. My first impression was a drive-by and a stop to look at the exterior. In the window on the left side, a woman was meticulously making little white bread sandwiches with crusts cut off -- "miga" sandwiches. A little google research showed them to be a Uruguay standard, like most of their cuisine a result of European infusion. It's a dainty sandwich generally served as an afternoon nosh -- like, the royal queen could stop by for tea and be totally happy with these. I'll be back for them in the future. But for TODAY, it was lunchtime, I was hungry, and the sandwich one customer was eating looked amazing. Scanning the menu quickly, opted to mimic him and got the P9, the "Chivito Original" -- steak, ham, cheese, egg, bacon, tomato and lettuce on Cuban bread, a side of fries included. Upon delivery, I was digging the plating, as casual as it was in its paper-lined plastic basket -- the sandwich speared with olived toothpicks; the fries golden, and both flanked by tubs of catsup and mayo. Upon eating, I was even more impressed. The fries were simple but done perfectly. And the sandwich: each component was nicely done, the meat tender and juicy, the bread toasted just right, the cheese nicely melted, the lettuce and tomato the ideal crisp/fresh counterpoint. It was a simple sandwich with a lot of add-ins, but done simply well. And, filling enough where half was taken home to be eaten for dinner. Beyond the great lunch, and the glimpse of the miga sandwich new to me -- NJD2 boasts an impressive display of baked goods; so many I'd suggest they add "bakery" to their name. Empanadas, flan, pasteles, cookies, etc. With my later 1:30 pm arrival, many were sold out or unavailable. But what was there still looked amazing. Hullo 3pm espresso and sweet thing! Said it before, sayin' it again -- one of the best things about moving to South Florida is the multi-cultural exposure to new food, new drinks, new art, and new ways of experiencing and enjoying life. And, for me, despite its misleading name, New Jersey Deli 2 is a wonderful addition to that experience. It's not fancy and doesn't try to be, and wears its casual crown exceedingly well. Great food, service and prices, it's an easy 5 stars. And oh yeah, it does also serve cold subs -- which, come to think about it, is about as Jersey as it gets. :)

This is your specialty hidden "hole in the wall" place for Peruvian empanadas!!…read more The locals know of this spot and keep it a secret! I was inducted into this secret and I want to share... got an empanada craving? Come here!! There was a looong line for these delicious freshly baked well- filled empanadas... and they also have Peruvian tamales and I saw some nicely robust pan-con-chicharrón sandwiches... what can I say: we will go back to try them! As for this time, we tried and loved the meat empanadas: the filling was nice and full, no skimpy bits of meat: nice serving for $3.50. We tried the chicken tamal and it was okay, but dry but overall a nice flavor, and finally we tried the alfajores that were warmed up at the car and were they were very nice as well. There is a line. There are only 3 tables and 5 barstools on the side... most people order to go, but if you want to eat inside, you have to negotiate with the people sitting at the tables. Do not hesitate to "reserve" your spot. I waited until we were at the top of the line, and someone 6 people behind us with no order had already negotiated and sat at a table... regardless of the fact that she didn't get her food until after we had already finished eating: the table "system" sucked, but we got another one of the tables and most customers take their orders to go, so it was not that bad. Phew! Anyway: I am uncovering the hole in the wall and letting the world know that they can get their fill on empanadas in this little shop in Margate. Enjoy!!

I ordered a feta cheese tomato Quiche And had to send it back It was very disappointing And it was overwhelmed by feta cheese and salty ! Very little egg soufflé like it should be done And it was soggy and thin ! The deserts look beautiful and gross tasting .. I had ordered mini deserts to check them out and was very pleased w taste and appearance! I also bought a bread from the place a French baguette which was ok By the way I mentioned that to a server and see if they will exchange the quiche for a regular Loraine quiche .. the server said they will need to charge it again ! Which I said ok But in my opinion they should have refunded me the 14$ that I paid for a small 4.5 " round piece ! In generally I paid over 55$ dollars For a non satisfying experience I m not recommending This place And most importantly the owner is not standing behind his product. That's what it comes down to Is that I love good food and good products And this place is not that ! So I will not be back ! It's sugar sugar and you crash So unhealthy For humanity anyways I

Beautiful displays. Sugar whispering, "Just one more." A very dangerous place for someone who skipped breakfast. I started strong with the breakfast burrito, and credit where it's due, it delivered. The chorizo and eggs were flavorful, well-seasoned, and clearly understood the assignment. Savory, satisfying, and the kind of burrito that makes you think, "Okay... I see you." Then came the empanadas. And this is where things took a turn. I tried both the beef empanada and the spinach and cheese empanada, and neither really landed. They were not bad, just forgettable. Which is disappointing, because this is a bakery, and empanadas feel like they should be part of the hall-of-fame lineup. These felt more like bench players getting some minutes. I expected more flavor, more punch, more "wow." That said, the place itself is gorgeous. Bright, clean, inviting, and absolutely packed with temptations. Cakes, pastries, breads, all of them staring at you like, "You sure you don't want dessert too?" I was not sure. So this is a solid four stars. Great breakfast burrito, stunning space, and enough visual appeal to keep me coming back. I just hope next time the empanadas decide to show up ready to play like the stars they are supposed to be.
