Review update: I try and support local restaurants especially because that's what our family does... new Jin Jin is at best sketchy now. After returning since some time my wife and I got the buffet. They put frozen crab up on the bar but don't tell anyone that it's an up charge (or being served) just because they're serving it as an OPTION. Obviously my wife and I just not to take a risk on the crab but paid egregious pricing because it was an option. After arguing with our server (who I've tipped $100 every visit for years) we reached the conclusion that we'll never be back. While traveling to Panama City Beach, on our first evening we decided to order dinner from Grubhub and chose New Jin Jin Buffet. It was the closest Chinese restaurant to our property. The food arrived impressively fast, and everything was very fresh. Wifey and I shared boneless rib tips with pork fried rice. My oldest daughter ordered sesame chicken. My youngest ordered sweet-and-sour chicken, which was shared by her and her boyfriend. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, and the delivery service was exceptionally quick. We have ordered twice now from this place. Once take out and once delivery. The first time I had Lo Mein and it was decent. The second time there were three of us and everything was delicious. My wife said it reminded her of the Chinese places she used to eat at in NYC. The service is always good here as well. We plan on trying the Buffett next time. read more

Several servers....VERY polite, attentive, and easily understands our language, REALLY made this dinner so enjoyable. A small buffet, $11.95 for dinner on a weekday evening, they had it all. A few choices of sushi, soups, and all the normal choices, it was VERY tasty, very fresh, and very hot!!!! This restaurant encourages masks and offers gloves at the buffet. This place may look a little sus from the outside, including walking into the restaurant, however, don't let that change your mind on coming in. From the FRESH succulent crab ragoon to the sweet and savory sweet and sour chicken, this place is straight BUSSIN. Stopped in before dinner to check it out and the friendly waitress answered all my questions. This place was near our house in Laguna Beach. Our party of 8 was promptly seated and drinks served. We were all hungry and our waitress suggested that we all go to the buffet. We were very pleased with the thoughtful service and appropriate amount of freshly prepared hot and cold foods selections on the buffet. Chicken jalapeño DID NOT look like chicken, egg roll tasted like rotten cabbage, after a family of 6 came in they cooked about 20 fresh fries & put them out. My water tasted like chlorine. We went in for the dinner buffet this evening despite the warnings on Yelp. The buffet was not at all stocked with food. What was left appeared to have been sitting a long time. You could tell the food pans hadn't even been stirred up to disguise the old film on top of the food.. Aside from all these red flags I tried some of the noodles, wontons, imitation scallops and a bite of what appeared to be beef... The scary thing was it was all at room temperature and the waitress already knew we were done 5 minutes after sitting down, because of the look on our face. The waitress and the sweet tea were the only good things in that place. Sweet tea was really good at getting the taste of old food out of my mouth. I'm really shocked the health department has Not shut down this place yet. Please don't do what we did, don't actually try eat there.. not trying to be mean, but it is complete and utter garbage that will more than likely end in an ER visit from food poisoning. read more
