We drive to Panama City Beach just to come and eat at Captain Jack's! All you can eat crab legs!! this is the third time we've been there. The food is always good and the service is wonderful!

When we go to any beach we always have to find a crab leg buffet! I have been to this restaurant before, its a good buffet if your going just for the crab legs as the variety of the other food isn't that big, it's just one isle of food to choice from. I have been to other restaurants where their are 5 isles so this one is small compared to the other ones. But we came here for crab legs, and the crab legs were so good!

Let me start off by saying our waitress Haley was the best. She was a absolute rockstar!! Now let me get to the food. There was not one single thing on the buffet that was bad. This was hands down the best food we had here all week. The restaurant was set up like a Normal buffet with desserts & soft serve ice cream. Lil pricey but for 60.00 a person all you can eat vs 50 for a pound else where this can't be topped.

MESSED THAT SHI UP. we were all ten pounds lighter when we walked up in this bit

Crab legs were great but the rest of the buffet were just ok. Service was great. The atmosphere gives beach vibes.

Food was good. Our server (Daniel) was excellent and never let our cups go empty or the table crowded with finished plates.

Service is good, but for the price there is barely any food choices. The steak is not great.

Just okay... not the best, but not the worst. I don't think it's worth the price if you're not getting crab legs.

Food smelled great and was just as tasty. A bit of my liquid/butter leaked out of the container in my way back to my hotel but that did not stop me from eating it. The corn was a bit over cooked and tasted cooked from frozen. The potato's were banging. The shrimp was so good. I bought a side of the garlic dipping sauce but did not use it as the cocktail sauce was so much better. Skip the garlic sauce and just go with the cooking liquid it comes in or cocktail sauce. Really you don't need a dipping sauce just eat it as is like I do the next morning for breakfast.

I was born and raised in Florida, and those were regular crab legs, nothing jumbo about them. Second, I spent $114 on a pickup order. When we arrived at 10:40, the doors were already locked, and they were pretty rude when we came to the door to pick up our order. We had to mouth through the door that we had a pickup order and wait until they understood before they opened the door. Lastly, the "jumbo" crab legs were extremely overcooked and stringy. Even the butter couldn't help. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We just moved to the area, so I was really hoping this could become one of our go-to spots, but honestly, Publix crab steam bags are better. I really wish the experience had been better.

Fair warning, come early and get in line. They are only open from 5-8pm and it's on a first come first served basis. We got there around 4:45pm and the line was 15 deep at least. The place is huge so it can accommodate a ton of people, but on a busy night it could fill up quickly. For the experience, especially with kids it's well worth it. The seafood was excellent. We all got a crab boil with either Dungeness or snow crab, shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. And the kicker: their loaded Cajun butter sauce lathered all over everything. Outstanding flavors, insanely fresh crab and shrimp boiled to perfection, and the sausage, corn and potatoes rounded it all out. Service was unbelievably fast given how popular and busy it was. I commend them for running a well oiled machine. This definitely wasn't their first rodeo. A great experience for a whole family, just remember to get there early.

And the blackened Tuna I got had just the right amount of heat and tasted great, as well as getting the cajun new potatoes. The main issue was that the wait time was extremely slow. Normally, I don't think that would be a problem, but it started raining that night, meaning everyone tried to crowd into the small waiting area, but there simply wasn't enough room. Normally if you had to wait, you could watch the alligators - and that would have helped entertain our kids. But the tarp / awning over the deck had holes or rips in it, so people tried to come inside to stay out of the rain, and we were crowded with nowhere to go. I'll give them another shot next time we're in the area - the food was worth it - but hopefully the experience won't be so bad next time.
