We specifically ordered tall, clear glass vases and received short ceramic vases instead. We also specifically requested an all-white flower color scheme, and that is not what we received. Before the service, we expressed concerns about how everything was being handled and were assured that it would all turn out fine. Unfortunately, it did not. What was delivered was not what we ordered or expected for such an important and emotional occasion. We contacted the florist afterward to discuss the problems and give them an opportunity to address the situation. No one returned our call. That lack of response and accountability was especially upsetting considering this was for a funeral and the mistakes could not simply be corrected later. We understand that mistakes can happen. What we cannot understand is failing to communicate with a grieving family after those mistakes are brought to your attention. We paid for specific arrangements for my stepmother's funeral, did not receive what we ordered, and then received no follow-up when we tried to resolve it. I would strongly recommend that anyone ordering flowers for a funeral or other once-in-a-lifetime event make sure every detail of their order is documented and confirmed.
