Dr. Liz is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She's very knowledgeable thorough and caring. She is a great detective. Every little detail matters to her. She figures out a lot of the overlooked health issues. For example who knew that the chronic neck I've been having forever and had been ignoring was a sign of an even bigger issue. (I didn't even go in for that I just happened to mention it). She also great with food allergies. My stomach pains I've had all of my life are gone. It's the little signs that often get ignored but point to the bigger picture. Prevention is the best medicine and Dr Liz pays attention. She's rare and well worth it! This review is overdue. I should have rewritten a review a while ago. Let me start by saying that Dr. Elizabeth Carter is absolutely wonderful. I decided to find a naturopathic doctor to help me on my journey to getting healthier. I previously found out that I have adrenal fatigue and wanted to do something about it asap. I did some research and was delighted to find Dr. Carter. Not only does she have a practice in West Seattle (and Queen Anne). Her WS practice is very close to my house. She also has some evening appointments which is perfect since it is hard for me to leave work during the day. She is a great listener and genuinely cares. I have been seeing her on average every 2 weeks since November of 2012. Keep in mind this is my choice to see her every 2 weeks. She is not a pushy sales person that tries to make you book another appointment and purchase items. I have purchased a few items from her though and have to say that the ointment that I purchased for bites was a life saver! (We went on vacation to Maui and I was eaten alive by bugs and used the ointment that I purchased from Dr. Carter and kicked ass!!!! It took away all the itch!) Also, I enjoy my down time getting acupuncuture and talking to her. She is just an all around wonderful person. I also love the fact that she is affordable. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover acupuncture or naturopathic doctors which is the case for a lot of people. So, take a look on her website for pricing. FYI. I have never had acupuncture before and wanted to give it a try. Dr. Carter has cured or fixed me of a few issues and pains. First up, my "Chrissy toe". A few years back my girlfriend, Chrissy, and I were dancing and Chrissy stomped on my big left toe. Since then I randomnly get horrible stabbing pain in my big left toe. I have had x-rays and seen a foot doctor. He said that I do not have a fracture, but probably nerve damage and that there wasn't anything he could do and that I would have to live with it. I haven't had the pain since December of 2012. AWESOME!!!! She has also gotten rid of the horrible throbbing headache that would come on while I was exercising and also the numbing pain I would get from exercising as well. I have noticed I am much more calm and do not feel as much anxiety. After most treatments I sleep like a baby for the next few nights. Aaahhhhhh! I hope this review helps. What a pleasure it has been to find Dr. Liz and to work with her on several health issues the past few months. Remarkable that she works out of an office only blocks from my house but it has taken me this long to find her! Nonetheless, I'm glad I did. (She also works out of a space in Queen Anne). Dr. Liz is a naturopathic physician trained at Bastyr and offers acupuncture, craniosacral massage, homeopathy and other modalities. I have been seeing Dr Liz for about 4 months now for a number of issues. Before, I met her, I was so miserable with no health insurance and no doctor worth paying. I love that Dr Liz doesn't use insurance, but a sliding scale pay instead. The appointments are 90 minutes long, so no rush and plenty of time to talk. The acupuncture is great and I always leave feeling so relaxed and hopeful that I will get better. I can tell slowly, I am feeling better. She is incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Liz is awesome. I went to see her to help me heal my ulcerative colitis. I knew that I needed a holistic approach with bodywork, supplements, and a support system. She has a healing touch and a very genuine desire to help. I was in a pretty bad place with my health when I first went to see her, but I was trying to get on the road to recovery. I've had ulcerative colitis for 8 years and I manage my symptoms with lifestyle and diet, I refuse to take meds because they just make things worse. I had a miscarriage which I think caused my UC to flare up and so I had been sick for months. Dr. Liz was very understanding and just jumped in to start the healing journey.
