On top of that, the REASON I need a tech to come back is that the LAST ONE DIDN'T FINISH THE WORK. Instead of just taking my word for it, they're stalling. I'm supposed to consult the "manufacturer." WHICH manufacturer? The one for Xfinity's equipment? Hewlett-Packar? Apple? THAT IS NOT MY JOB. For a company that boasts about its customer service, there's precious little of it. Then, there's the whole thing about WHO shows up. When they sent someone a few weeks ago, he arrived wearing camouflage from head to toe and had a long KNIFE strapped to one thigh. I looked at his profile on FB. What I saw there did NOT make me feel better. Overall, I'm extremely unimpressed. If you have another option, take it. I'm still waiting for someone to follow up on my last call, and it's been over a month ago.

THEN, we had two more sessions, one with a pressure washer, which he used very well to clean old debris from the surfaces, and then with another long session, coated in a very meticulous way all the parts with an oil-base stain. It looks brand new, and feels much stronger on the rails, steps and so forth. In addition to the deck, he gave the same treatment to a set of wood stairs (replacing one step), that goes down for the deck level to the creek behind the house.
