I want to update you guys on the current situation that is taking place between the Adelson clinic…read moreand myself. After my last encounter, where I was discriminated against and disrespected, and ultimately turned down... as far as becoming a patient...I took the time to write a review. I was told that I would not be admitted that day, thursday, because I looked tired. Some excuse doc, I mean it has to be the most thorough and sensible one I have ever heard. This was after the doctor was very rude to me and asked me some very intimate questions, that I had already been asked by some random staff member. However, after calling and speaking to staff members who then talked to the doctor, I was relayed the message that I could come back another day to be admitted as a patient. I was told to come back on Friday at 7 a.m. and not to be hostile. I resent that for the fact that I was not hostile, I was very polite and quiet, as I always am. I planned my entire Friday morning around going back to this clinic, and the doctor did not show up! I was told by a different staff member, that he does not do intake on this day. So why was I told to come back...to me this is not a joke!? I feel that I am being played a fool and heard the woman at the front desk and the security gaurd laugh at me as I left. They told me to come back on Monday. today is Monday and once again I planned my entire schedule around going to this Clinic. OBVIOUSLY TREATMENT IS MY PRIORITY AND I really do need the help. I just made a phone call to find out if the doctor had arrived, or when he would be coming in, and I was told some more horribly degrading news. The Adelson clinic staff members all had a staff meeting this weekend. Apparently, the staff meeting revolved around me, and they all were asked the same question..whether or not I should be admitted into this Clinic? The woman who answered the phone told me that everyone took a vote and that they all felt that I would be better off somewhere else. I don't understand what could have changed from Friday to Monday when they did not see me or speak to me. When I tryed to ask questions I was hung up on. I called back three or four times and was repeatedly hung up on and patronized. It all comes down to the fact that they read my Yelp review, as one of them pointed out to me before slamming the phone down on me! For obvious reasons, they found it unfavorable, and decided to use their power against me. The fact is that this is the only Clinic that is close to me and takes my insurance, which I let them know. I'm trying to figure out why I have been singled out and then talked about in a staff meeting. This confirms my feelings of being laughed at on Friday to be true. Also it reiterates the fact that the woman from Mission Treatment, who treated me horribly in the past and now works at Adelson Clinic, had something to do with my non admittance into the clinic. All in all I give them a negative star. This is absolutely the worst Clinic and I'm letting everybody know this so they do not have to go through the same horrible experience that I have. How are they going to talk to me about my behavior, and then repeatedly hang up on me and make rude comments? They are not a professional business and I want to add that they are not a clean business. There was blood in the bathroom, smeared on the floor and the toilet. even after I let them know about it, they still did not clean it up. I also feel that one of the staff members came onto me in a very sexual and inappropriate way. I'm going to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you guys for taking the time to read this I really appreciate it and I hope that these people learn something from this. When somebody is an addict and they seek help they should never be turned away. This is such a serious and life-threatening disease, which has taken the lives of many people I know, including two very close friends. For my sake, I hope that I don't end up like them as well..RIP NAT AND BEN. And to think, Adelson Clinic, you could have saved my life. Instead, you have offered me a death sentence!

I don't trust the positive reviews here are legitimate. This is a terrible clinic... most of the…read morestaff is ok, but if you have a problem. Don't expect any support or help with that problem. Here they like to treat your medicine as if it's a reward for a good/perfect behavior. Instead of treating it like the life saving medication it is. If you work, don't expect them to make any attempt to help accommodate your schedule or keep you in treatment. The only reason I ever miss days is because I can't get out of work in time. Then some of the days that I do get out in time, I have to drive in ways that wish I didn't. Just to make it... because like I said, they are treating your medicine like it's a reward for perfect behavior. They lock the doors literally seconds before the clock the turns over to 12:30... even if they can see and hear the car skidding into a parking spark at 12:29. You have any idea how a 5 minute window for those that are running late, would make!? Your goal should be to get and keep as many people on treatment as possible! Not making all sorts of rules preventing access to care! Maybe use this place for a guest dose. But definitely avoid it at all costs if you're not already in treatment. I haven't even gone into how much of a joke the "counselors" are. There isn't any counseling taking place. The read off a list of questions. That's it. No individualized care. No addressing any of your actual problems or concerns. You just get to waste time in your day answering basic questions that go nowhere. Don't even bother trying to bring up the issues that bother you most... you'll be met with a wall a silence because they have no idea how to respond. This has been my experience with every counselor I've had here. I've had 3 different ones. I've tried requesting specific ones that others have told me about... but my requests always go unfulfilled... regardless of how many times I re-iterate myself, or fill it in on the intake forms that have a section specifically for this.... Speaking of the intake forms... you can literally scribble your answers because it doesn't matter what you write down. None of it will be taken into consideration. This place definitely doesn't follow government guidelines. Some of the stuff they do actually goes against them.

I'm beyond frustrated with this methadone clinic. The staff lacks proper training and…read moreprofessionalism--one even picked a fight with me over a mix-up, accusing me of dodging rules when I was following another staff member's instructions! This place completely ignores SAMHSA's 2024 guidelines, sticking to rigid, one-size-fits-all policies that feel like trading a drug habit for "liquid handcuffs." They deny extra take-home doses if you miss group sessions, even if you're working 65-hour weeks and struggling to balance dosing, groups, and a job. Too often, I'm forced to choose between keeping my job and making it to the clinic. These harsh rules make recovery tougher, not easier. SAMHSA's guidelines push flexibility to help patients, backed by studies showing that expanded take-homes during COVID improved retention and autonomy without spikes in overdoses or diversion. So why is this clinic stuck in the past? Check the SAMHSA website for the actual guidelines--this place needs a serious overhaul! If you're not already on methadone or years into treatment, steer clear of this clinic. It'll disrupt your job and life without caring about your recovery. Treatment should be a right, not a reward!
