The facility is beautiful in a Tuscan theme. The staff is amazing, they are the nicest empathetic group of people. The food is a good variety. The only qualm I have is my dad isn't able to feed himself and has been going without food. He won't ask for help because he doesn't want to bother anyone. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone. Thank you for taking the best care of my dad.

We thought his recovery was an extreme longshot at best. However, thanks to the truly superb staff, he was able to slowly but successfully regain his ability to walk as well as a lot of his abilities to be somewhat independent. This would not have been possible without the amazing medical assistants, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, case managers and even their maintenance man. When dad first arrived, and for most of his stay, he was completely dependent on AHC staff for bathing, toileting, getting food, and all. The staff was so attentive, patient and understanding (he did get grumpy and stubborn at times as he was dealing with a lot of medical issues;-) They never missed a beat and motivated him to keep working hard and improving. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this AHC for rehab. A few names I must recognize: Himani, Jordan (therapists), Mary, Janet and Chanel (the CNA's), Luz the head nurse, her daughter the woundcare specialist (forgot her name:-) and Arnelle the maintenance man. Arnelle didn't even have anything to do with patient care, but he had such a positive, smiling and motivational presence and got to know our dad and kept him smiling and laughing on a daily basis which is hard to do when someone has just lost their independence and is in pain. A huge thank you to the entire team; they are really like a family.

(Let's just say I didn't lose any weight, and my appetite didn't suffer either). Unfortunately, I suffered a stroke, and though it was mild, the whole experience was scary. I'm just 68 years young...I was transferred to Encompass from Summerlin Hospital, and I had to work at learning how to use a walker and strengthen my muscles to be able to walk independently again, and to even learn how to dress myself again. Did I say, 'it was scary?'Gradually, my fears were alleviated, and everyone's kindness, compassion, patience, and cheerfulness, and humor even truly helped me adjust to my new state in life. I even had fun in the various therapies! I'm going home today, and I'm looking forward to continuing my therapies with home health services. Thanks to the staff at Encompass, I have a new lease on life! Many thanks...

As a…read morepatient here who stayed here for two weeks, I would say this facility is by far the friendliest and home like environment. Everyone has their own room, but you share a bathroom with a patient next door. The rooms are actually pretty big with a cabinet, tv, a pull out bed for guests, and a sink! Besides that, the staff here are over the top the best!! I loved interacting with my favorite nurses, (Rafael, Candy, Athena, and Cecilia) physical therapist (John Mendoza), occupational therapists (David and Samantha), and speech therapist (Gina Stevens)!!! My nurses were all very thoughtful to educate me (I'm a nursing student) and also gave me helpful advice! John is absolutely AMAZING! He taught me so much on improving my balance and coordination. I started off ataxic when I first met him, and the last day with him I have more control compared to what I had last time. David and Samantha were also very helpful and I had so much fun doing all the activities with them! It definitely helped my range of motion. Gina is an absolute blessing. I couldn't swallow and in just three days with her, (three hours) I was able to swallow ice chips. I still can't believe how fast I was able to learn with Gina. She gave me a lot of mouth exercises and she is also very encouraging. My case manager (Mark) was also very helpful and I'm very grateful for him. He made sure I had all the equipment I needed before my discharge and answered all of my questions. Because of him, I'm getting discharged a day early before my birthday! BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!! Everyone is very fast at responding to call lights as well. Their number one priority is safety. No matter what level of balance you have when standing and walking, they want one of their staffs to be in the room helping! The surprising and best part of this facility is that you can bring your dog here! One in each room though and make sure they have a leash! In addition, the staff comes in your room at 7am (M-F) to give you your daily schedule! This is soo convenient since I want to see when I will see my therapists and when I'll have free time to do whatever! Once again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS REHAB FACILITY TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE!

I'm not complaining about that so much as the lack of notice, the lack of explanation on what our options were and the utter lack of concern about the stress surrounding all of it. They should know more about how the process works than I do - and they either don't, or don't care enough about the family the patient or the process to explain any of it. I know more about how Medicare, medigap and supplemental insurance than the management of this facility after going through this process one time. The care here is good enough. Some wonderful nurses and some impatient ones. But it's a tough job and I appreciate anyone doing this for a living. But understand the process and be ready to be thrown out with no safety net and no help figuring it all out with literally no notice. Once insurance because an issue they were relentless over a 24 hour period about getting her out. OK - I get it, nothing is free. But they know the process, we don't and they really offered no help in what to do next since she couldn't go home. PS : our mom passed within a week of getting kicked out of here and honestly the stress of it all was a factor.

I keep hearing how bad the food is there, though I have never tried it myself. There have been multiple times that my grandmother has had injuries that staff had not been keeping up on the cleaning and care of the wounds. Down side is that when your loved one has to go to the hospital for more than one day, they empty their room and give it to another person. This has happened many times, resulting in my grandmother having to split a room with someone else until another private room opens up. In doing so, she has had a few room mates pass away and watch them get carried out. This has left her scared of dying and a little hopeless. I do like the views of the surrounding mountains and I am glad my grandmother has a great view of the mountains from her room. Another thing I do appreciate is that they allowed my grandmother do bring in her own belongings to the room to make it feel like her place.

I walked in the wrong door to drop something off and was threatened with police. I was made to move my car off the property. I then walked in another wrong door and was aggressively threatened with jail time by a nurse who instantly screamed for security. Nice escalation for the threat of a girl carrying three 7-11 bags... Did they tell me that I was supposed to be at the building next door that happens to be the low care residential part of the complex?? Nope. Not either time. Did they tell me that they didn't like the was I was "walking too slowly" and that I was going to be "hurried up?" Yes. I remarked that I am handicapped and the officious enormous security guard said " o no ma'am. This has nothing to do with a disability." I then saw what looked like a place to drop off and asked and the security guard physically menaced me. The nurse who had jumped to threatening me with jail time with her second sentence was smugly laughing with her arms crossed (so obviously this was not about anything but power) I commented to the person for whom I was dropping off that this place should not be trusted. "Yeah, I'm kinda stuck here," he said "but I want to get out."
