Recently I signed up my 16-year-old son for 5 Hour Class and 8 Driving Lessons with New Millennium Driving School. He enjoyed the entire experience with the dedicated staff and instructors and successfully passed his Road Test this past Wednesday. I highly recommend this driving school. I live 15 minutes away but they still took me in. I like that they pick me up on time and also drop me off at my house. I honestly did like my instructors here in this school though as of the moment I haven't pass my road test yet. I highly recommend Troy as a driving instructor. He has all the knowledge and knows how to relate and relay it to his students. I have an instructor here prior to troy but he moved to a different state already and i did my 16 lessons with him. How do you take a neurotic, high-strung, nervous city dweller and turn her someone capable of passing her road test on the first try? These guys. I avoided even trying to get my driver's license for over a decade because just the thought of doing so in Manhattan had me practically hyperventilating. New Millenium will have an instructor pick you up at the Metro North train station. Their office (for the 5 hour classroom requirement) is less than a 10 minute walk from the station. I initially bought a single (1 hour) practice lesson (to feel out how much help I needed before committing to one of their offered package courses); it was later deducted from the total package cost (after I realized just how much help I needed). I really cannot thank my instructor, Juyoung Kim, enough. He took my neuroses (and endless nervous talking) in stride. I was anything but an ideal student, but he was able to both deal with me/my craziness *and* convey what I needed to learn in a way that stuck (which is harder than it sounds). So, not only did I pass my driver's test on the first try, but also did so without a single deduction on the road test, and with only ~8 hours of practice behind the wheel under my belt. read more

I am most definitely a fan! I took my 5 hours course, 3 lessons and used their car for the road test. Due to my availability I wasn't able to use the same instructors but that didn't matter because I passed my road test. Both drivers were awesome and I learned a lot. Mitch was very helpful & detailed with tips & instructions for driving in practice to make sure I passed my exam. He then took me to the exam & reiterated everything I needed to know while we were waiting. I'm really glad I used him for a lesson first before taking the exam, because even though I am a good driver, the exam is very specific and I felt way more prepared with his help. I must say that I had a great experience completing my Driving Instructor Course at New Millennium Driving School. The facility was conveniently located with fairly cheap and secure parking nearby. Our instructor Manuel was terrific! He was always on time getting started which meant that we left on time as well. The content was concise, thoroughly explained and he provided plenty of examples and real world stories to keep us interested as well as the videos. The staff was also very supportive and made payment and paperwork a breeze! I was really really disappointed in my experience with New Millennium. There's a difference between a person who can drive and teach you and an instructor. That difference is patience. I was yelled at so many times that by the time I finished I was worse than when I started. Obviously I'm not good at driving, that's why I'm at the school. An instructor should have clear ways of explaining how to do something and then not get mad when you make a mistake. Also, my instructor's English was questionable so I didn't understand what he was saying sometimes. Pay your friend $200 bucks to teach you to drive, it's the same thing. Update: Downgraded. I sent them an email detailing my experiences as I didn't want to hide behind just a bad Yelp review, but tell them what they were doing wrong so that they might rectify the situation for others. They never responded! Nothing. I'm shocked that they won't even address an unsatisfied customer who took the time to detail the complaints and underlying reasons. I had no driving experience and I needed my license for a move. I tried one school in the Bronx and they were very unprofessional. I found this school and they gave me thier best instructor Jose. I did the 15 hour package and passed my test! I just scheduled a highway lesson. If you live close to NR this would be the school I would choose. read more

I bought a package and since day one I only had problems with their instructors and with their receptionist that gives customers attitudes and is disorganized. My first instructor was a mix of yelling and texting. I complained and asked for another person. Then came an old guy, probably the owner. He didn`t have any patience to explain or knew how to, and to make things worst he was super unpleasant. On my road test day, they messed up my schedule, making me extra stressed for no reason. I failed my test and decided to give another driving school a change. And this was my best decision ever, I learned, I didn`t have to put up with bad instructors or people giving attitudes. Proceed with caution!!! An older man was driving one of their cars (not a student) this morning behind me VERY aggressively!! Honking and speeding, BUT the worst offense was when traffic came to a slow down on Kings Hwy and instead of slowing down the man driving continued speeding honked aggressively and came within inches of hitting my car when he tried to illegally pass me on the right. In my opinion this is quit unprofessional of the instructors to drive like this especially with a huge sign on top of their car with the name of their company and that IT'S A DRIVING SCHOOL!!!!! read more

New Millennium was wonderful in teaching my 19 yr old son how to drive. He hadn't driven at all and they took him from novice to passing his road test. We took the 20 lesson pkg and they also took him to his road test. He always had the same instuctor, Danny, which is important in continuity with doing this. The office is very professional and Elizabeth is a pleasure to deal with. My son also took his 5 hr course at the school which was very convenient. Amazing experience for me. I'm a "new" driver but I have drivin' a car a few times not very much that I would have been confident enough to just go do my G2 test right away. So I've been looking and waiting on a driving school that would suite me and my availability. I've waited a year after I got my G1 previous to that year I looked into many driving schools and checked them out but the service I found weren't the best. It was either they were : - Way to serious. - Way to nerve racking. - And it's always you must call. - Some that I've called in advanced never picked up their phone or had called me back. - some are actually very rushed and rude Well finally on my way to the bus stop; I don't know why but a white paper was blowing up from the bored at the bus stop I looked at it and it was this school beside it was another driving school but my eyes were just so fixative on this paper that I decided to just quickly take a picture of it for later research. It said you can text them so I texted and we met up and he told me straight from the get go "if you don't like me don't take lessons with me, not everyone is for everyone, and after today if you do end up liking my driving style then I will surely work hard for you to get done with me quickly so you don't waste your money" off the bat. He was patient Funny Made it a lot of fun Slow (if your having trouble with one thing he sticks you to it till your confident in it) Pushed you to do better Always have faith in you Corrects you and demonstrates Tries to find easy way for you to remember tricks to driving Very knowledgeable And a human being By far my advice to whomever is reading this don't just go to any school and leave ask for a different instructor sometimes it's the instructor not the school. This was back in 2015 , It was horrible. I got cancelled on 3 different times when i only paid for one lesson and the use of the car . I ended up not only taking my one lesson right before my road test ( which is not what I wanted at all) .The instructor was more worried about my new phone asking me like how much i paid, where i got my phone case from and etc not once did he give me any good luck smh I wasted my time & money . like another reviewer said i emailed them as well telling them my experience and guess what ? they did nothing lol #ridiculous , DONT GO HERE!! read more

Very high priced, shop around many schools with $30.00 lessons in their packages, I think the instructor sleeps wen I was driving. Never taught how to park and gave no tips. Learned more in other school and saved half the money. Shop before going here. read more
