They are 100% legit so I am unsure about all the negative comments, I am a real life person from Oregon who adopted a dog from them. Our coordinator who was based in Washington also connected one of our dogs siblings to use because at the time we didn't have social media and it's been so great to develop a friendship with them and for John and Elliot to be able to reconnect. The adoption prices has definitely gone up since March 2024 but not surprised as so has everything in this country. John is so well behaved and came that way and I attribute that to the amazing fosters these dogs have! Thank you TLP and if you're looking for a cat or dog, I highly recommend saving one from the overpopulation Texas area where this rescue saves dogs!

I've been waiting to hear since Monday. both of the dogs I had asked for in that time were posted and now adopted, and their team doesn't seem to care about getting me connected with another animal in need of a home, apparently, for charging so much to adopt a dog, terrible communication. It can get pricey, but I've found it's definitely worth it, with a GPS image of the route and a snapshot from the walk. This sounds silly, but the images they send are often like professional pet portraits and it gives me peace of mind while I'm traveling. One of them is currently the background on my phone. They also do nice holiday perks, like a Thanksgiving turkey meal or pictures of your dog with the Grinch (who's a very committed staff member in a full blown costume). I get the sense that the folks who work here are good people who love dogs and have a solid sense of humor. Whenever they arrive, my pup jumps up to say, "Hi" and gladly hops along into the car. TLDR - I always feel confident sending my dog here, and I appreciate how they take such good care of my sweet girl.

No joke, there are a few down the street from me and it's pathetic. This one is reasonable and fair. I highly recommend volunteering for both the store and the food bank. If you do though, remember it's for the community not for you, and should not be looked at as a job but as an opportunity to serve. I was introduced to Courageous Connections through an open house event they offered to families with children with disabilities. I was so impressed by their staff, volunteers, and program that I later went on to volunteer there myself, which I've been doing for almost 2 years. Courageous Connections offers equine therapy and equine assisted learning classes and workshops to people of all ages from all walks of life. They've positively impacted the lives of countless people living with disabilities, trauma survivors, First Responders, cancer warriors, people on hospice, troubled and at-risk teens and so many others! They even offer scholarships to help families who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford these services. We are SO fortunate to have this wonderful organization in our community. And not only are the women who own and run this operation some of the kindest, most sincere people you'll ever meet, but they are absolutely steadfast in making sure their herd of horses get the best possible care. And that's why I will continue to volunteer and sing their praises for as long as I'm able.

They did a classic "bait and switch" after taking all of my personal information, HIPPA protected information, and medical information including insurance. I am a retired Animal Cruelty Investigator and have debilitating CPTSD from severe abuse and my past work with abused and neglected animals mostly, horses. I am also a cancer survivor. This was my only hope of finding healing from all the horrific cases I worked on for many years 24/7 with no days off. I fought on the frontlines and was a force for the animals and have helped rescue thousands from abuse and neglect. I recently spoke with Sue, who is the owner of the facility and she seemed very self absorbed with her personal life. After speaking with me and hearing my story, she told me I would definitely be eligible for a full scholarship as my income is well below poverty level. All I had to do was fill out paperwork. I requested and received a gas voucher from Saint Vincent DePaul so I could attend the therapy sessions. Courageous Connections recently raised thousands of dollars ($10K) at an auction in Snohomish County. After filling out several pages of personal information, I was denied ANY help $$$ Not even a discounted rate. This is sad and irresponsible and a red flag to say the least. Often these NON Profit animal agencies too often misuse donor funds $$$ for personal gain. If they cant help a disabled woman who fought on the front lines for abused animals, survived Domestic abuse, and Cancer what is the $$$ actually being used for? I would highly suggest anyone not get involved or donate anything $$$ money or auction items to this agency ever . We are so glad we took their recommendation because Joe, the owner of the facility, was absolutely phenomenal. It is situated on a large property and our dog was able to run and play every day (weather permitting), and at night she was in a warm and cozy kennel with other dogs. Joe also texted us letting us know he took our pup on a one-on-one walk down by the river so she could warm up to him! He sent us several pictures of our dog while we were away and we were so relieved that she was being taking care of by a caring individual who simply loves dogs. The hours are great and Joe charges per over-night, so we were able to pick up our pup at 7:30 at night as soon as we flew in without having to pay an extra fee. We are so glad that we now have a go-to place for boarding when we have to be away.

Samantha's is very knowledgeable with the Border Collie breed and love her fur babies. I went to her place to visit her and to see her dogs. I was impressed by how well behaved, friendly and affectionate they were. I talked with her for over a hour, getting to know her and to see her 3 week old puppies. She does extra things to help prepare the puppies for their new forever home. I was very happy to know that at the early age of 3 weeks, she starts cutting their nails once a week.
