We arrived around 2:30 and was there until 9:00 pm for the taping of 2 shows. Not even a cracker was provided to eat! Cheap, ghetto and classless is what I call it! There is not even a vending machine. I never saw on any correspondence that taping would be that long and nothing to snack on available. Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey and Family Feud bring in toooo much money for not even a small pack of peanut butter crackers, a granola bar or even a 25 cent bag of chips to be served!!! I was totally disgusted and turned off by this because although it was a free taping----you wouldn't be able to do it without a live audience!! A little bit of appreciation for 7-8 hours of your time would have been nice. The staff seemed mean, over worked and underpaid. No smiles other than the production manager who had a curly natural fro ponytail. There was a heavyset black guy with a black winter beanie cap on that told my daughter the Smart Pop popcorn was for people who were there all day.! Well wtf do you call 2-9pm. Then to make matters worst, the staff and family members of the contestants are hot lunches in our faces. It was so classless! Steve Harvey and the hype man were so cool though and really provide for lots of laughs. Steve even left us on a spiritual note. He is definitely a natural comedian and speaker. Now that was a 5 star experience! Just Steve, hypeman, music, and the show itself 5 stars! The production company and the professionalism and hospitality of this place is a 3 and that's being nice. Overall, moving forward I would not recommend spending your precious off day setting around starving all day to see the show. I'll just watch from home but should you happen to read my review and go------ Eat a heavy meal before hand bc these cheap ass folks will not even provide a saltine cracker. If times are that hard they should just stop taping. I went to a few live taping and they at least provide light snacks via vending machine or free lay out. Despicable and changed the way I look at Tyler Perry Studios. Production company needs to get it together. Would never return and don't recommend!

I have had more than a few occasions where I need to put an audition on tape asap and get it out same day etc...we all know how it goes...and although there are several options for taping around town--I have found Compass to be the most professional by far. Every time I have emailed them regarding a same day appointment or a really tight deadline they respond to me within the hour (maximum!) That's pretty awesome when your under the gun. In addition to the super professional service, they are nice--genuinely so...helpful and actually care about your audition and your satisfaction. Add to this that Compass offers great rates, discounts for SAG actors and great deals for repeat customers and they get my business every time. There are cute shops, lots of options for sweet treats (bakery, gelato, specialty coffee and tea, etc.) as well as lots of options for light bites, heavy meals, group activities or fun drinks. We patronized a few businesses as we walked, but I also enjoyed these leaf dress displays on the corners (see pics). It reminded me of the art displays large cities often have were there'll be a painted animal (cow, fish, horse, etc.) on various corners. Trilith is a good location if you're looking to burn some time and take in a meal while doing it. I've never been to any of the special events in the area, but have heard good things.

When we work together, I feel like all my ideas are encouraged and heard. At the same time, his thoughtful insights afford me the chance to stretch my own creativity in an easy, collaborative way. I will be also starting an actors class there next month as I'm leaving my current studio. Depending on what type of script you have for an audition, sometimes you may not be able to shoot it at home yourself. The audition shoots are $15 for 10 mins, or $25 for 20 minutes, and $50 for 40 minutes. That's something I've never seen happen before as far as an audition being 40 minutes. There's an acting instructor there by the name of Angela Davis who is very GREAT and REALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE as it pertains to acting. She's going to be my new instructor. For any of you who are looking for a place to shoot an audition or maybe attend acting class, check this place out. They also offer Zoom classes for those of you who don't feel comfortable due to the pandemic that's fading away. Next time I go, I'll be able to pick up a few pics.

I love being able to schedule an audition being able to schedule an audition whether it be in advance or last minute and they're always available 6 days a week even at night. It is cost-effective offering a monthly rate to tape instead of for each audition. Other taping services I've tried had limited days/time or they weren't open late. Not at Higher elevation! They really care about actors and want to see us succeed. When I tape at home it takes me forever to record it, edit, label m and upload it. I've made several mistakes. But being at Higher elevation alleviates all that. They're always prompt, always label my tapes correctly and I've never encountered a mistake. Another thing that I love is Steven's attitude and his employees is always positive and uplifting. I've gone to taping services where they were having a bad day or rushing me and we know as actors we need to be in a comfortable supportive environment. I'm grateful to be part of their monthly membership and I highly recommend it because you won't regret it.

The staff is incredible....so nice, organized, and accommodating every single time. Everything at the studio is spotless. The bathrooms are always clean and smell great, which is such a nice touch. The transportation vehicles are very comfortable with working air and heat, making getting around the huge studio a breeze. Every visit, I notice new buildings and areas I hadn't seen before....it really shows how massive and impressive the studio is. Tyler Perry Studios is definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Atlanta or interested in film and television production.
