Last night I ordered two combination dinners at $17.95 each. $35.90 should have been my total. I was told my total was $41 and some change. I figured they had already added the "delivery charge" even though I am less than a mile from the restaurant. When the food arrived I gave the driver a $50 bill. He walked away and didn't offer me any change. So for a meal that should have been $35.90 I was quoted at $41 but wound up paying $50??? Rip off read more

I was surprised at how good the food turned out here. There weren't any cars out front, and when you walk in, it was completely empty (with the exception for the employees). They have two options for eating, buffet or menu. The party I was with, they all chose the buffet while I chose to order something off the menu. The buffet had some REALLY good wings and meat options (at least that was what I was told). I kept it simple and ordered Shrimp Fried Rice. It was very good and flavorful. I always appreciate large shrimp in a shrimp dish, and they definitely delivered. The service was adequate. It did take a bit to flag down a waiter, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience. I might order to-go next time. read more

We eat at New Peking at least once a month. Since there is no dining in we always pick up. They food is always delicious fresh an hot. I would strongly recommend anyone that has company up from the lower 48 to order from them an I'm sure they will love it. Stopped by because I haven't had Chinese food in a long while. Great taste with fresh tasting ingredients and portions are perfect for the price, in my opinion at least. The Pork Lo Mein with a side of rice hit the spot for me, I also got to try the Sweet and Sour Chicken, I was surprised by the amount of flavor and tenderness of the chicken. I recently moved to Kenai from Chicago. I lived in a Chicago neighborhood just blocks from the city's famed Chinatown, so I feel I've enjoyed my share of awesome Chinese cuisine over the years & can vouch accordingly. Enter New Peking - I was not expecting much at all, thanks to the poor reviews I read online. But this gal really, really wanted some egg rolls & noodles, & I was feeling brave. I gave New Peking a try - & my order was delish! The noodles were fresh & flavorful, not greasy & limp. The egg rolls were crispy & hot, served with a lovely duo of sweet & sour sauce & hot mustard on the side. Score! Needless to say, I ordered the same dishes from New Peking a second time & was just as pleased. Same quality as my first visit. Both of my orders were placed "to-go," so I can't speak about the experience of dining in at New Peking. But I was treated kindly on the telephone when I placed my orders, & they were ready for pickup within minutes. Plus, the restaurant came to me as a recommendation from a local gal who works the front desk of another nearby establishment, so it really can't be all that bad! I'm certainly relieved that I have found fresh & tasty Chinese cuisine available in my new home :) Bonus points for the free cup of egg drop soup I've received in the bags of my to-go orders. Waitress was horrible. Asked for water to drink she never brought it Had to go to my truck to get bottled water to drink. We were 1 of 2 tables so service should not have been an issue. Food was cold when it arrived and took longer than it should have to be served. Left no tip will never go back. read more

I'm really reaching for something to give this more than 1 star but I simply can't... The food is sub par and cold, there wasn't enough when people actually showed up, and it was $15 for a lunch buffet and a drink! The only source of entertainment to get me to think of something other than the trash I'm putting in my mouth, was a TV playing on the other side of the restaurant while the one where everyone was sitting, was off... I live in Oregon and have never been to this restaurant. However I have received disturbing news about how rudely they treated my 88 year old sister when she took her daughter out to eat! She's a very sweet lady, treats everyone good and had just gotten over an illness. They berated her about putting too much on her plate and not eating it all. Rude Rude Rude!!! Won't go to this restaurant when I visit. Service is as much a part of a restaurant as food. read more

Disgusting. Never going again. Went with my husband and in laws last week (father in law was treating us out) and wow do I feel bad for him for paying that much. Over priced. Definitely NOT worth the food. I got the sweet and sour chicken, chicken was fine, whatever, dry pieces of fried chicken tossed in generic sweet and sour sauce, but the veggies.....they tossed in some RAW onion, bell pepper and carrot. I dont know about you but I have never been anywhere that did that before. Idk if they were just lazy or what. Which is no excuse. The place was Empty. We were the only ones in there. Never new how awkward it was to he in an empty restaurant. Anyway. FIL got the Mongolian beef. Wasn't spicy. No flavor. MiL and brother in law got spicy noodles. They weren't spicy at all. Seems like they just threw in some dried peppers and that's it. I dont know, I was worried I would get sick. They need an interior update. Big time. It just looks sketchy.
