If I could give this salon a zero star I would. My friend and I visited this salon to get our pedicure yesterday. There was a lot of bad reviews but I wanted to give it a shot since it's very close where I am staying at. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience. First of all when we I arrived at the salon we felt the unwelcoming ambiance inside the salon. Then the lady who took care of me seems like she wasn't happy about having me as a client. She asked me to go look for the color that I want. She just sat there and pointed where to go. I was so confused and all of a sudden she called me to come back because she had the sample color with her. I even said that "it is so confusing". Then after I sat down she told me to put my feet on the water without even checking the temperature. It was so hot that I felt like it's going to burn my legs. That's the only time she checked the temperature. While she was doing my pedicure she started talking with her co workers in their language. You can tell the way how they talk that they are talking about me and my friend. They didn't even figured out that I can at least understand what they are saying. Anyway, after the hot water issue and cleaned my nails she put this scrub the hurts my legs so bad. I tried to be more understanding but it's getting really bad that I had to tell her to stop doing what she's doing. She seems so upset when I told her to stop. I didn't even got my toe nails painted because I am afraid of what she could have done on my nails. I went to the counter directly to pay and I am not sure if it was the owner but she offered me that she will put colors on my toes. But I refuse because I don't want to deal with them anymore and my legs feels like it's burning. The only thing that the owner said was "I'm sorry". The technician who did my nails didn't even said I'm sorry after burning my legs! I get it but sorry won't fix the bad experience that I had. Also, I noticed that non of their tools are clean and disinfected. Inside is so unorganized and dirty. No social distancing at all. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been. Please if you are reading this DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD. I walked in without an appointment on a whim and it was okay. I was pleasantly greeted as soon as I walked in and offered to a pick the nail color I wanted. I got French tip acrylic nails. The prices were good I'd say slightly less the usual cost by about $5 per service. The acrylics were $25 +$5 for the French tip. My real problem with this shop was the nail tech who did my nails. She did not say hello to me just motioned for me to sit down and the other people in the shop told her what I wanted. At first I thought maybe she just didn't speak English which would've been fine. But she did because she was talking to others In the shop in English. She did not trim my nails, cuticles, lotion or massage my hands or anything. She immediately started using whatever the tool is called that prepare the surface of your nail for the acrylics. She rushed the job a lot, sometimes I appreciate when technitions can be faster because I don't always want to spend two hours in the nail shop. However it was a very sloppy kind of rush, I didn't get to enjoy it at all. Also twice during doing my nails she stopped to do the eyebrows of two customers that walked in without saying excuse me or telling me that she would be back to finish my nails. She did not try to have any kind of conversation even just to exchange a few words here and there, eventually I put in an earbud in one ear while she did my nails. The tech then actually put in an earbud and got up a tv show on her phone that she watched WHILE doing my nails! She messed up on my nails some too because she was doing the nails without looking! I'm the end my nails turned out okay but they definitely could've and should've been much better. I'm not sure the tech's name (because she didn't introduce herself) but she was really pretty and slender and she was wearing a blue dress. As far as my interactions with the rest of the staff they were pleasant and considerate. I left a $7 tip which honestly deserved $0.15 which somehow feels worse to me then 0. There might be other techs who are pleasant and take care in their work there but I can't because I'm not going back to find out and potentially waste more money. read more

The worst nail salon I've ever been to in terms of their quality of service! Honestly, I wish I could only give them a half of star for these following reasons: I've visited this particular shop on three separate occasions and each time I went, I've had a different technician service me. This was simply because I needed a new nail technician and I was trying to scope the place out. Big mistake because each time I left unhappy. The owner of the shop seemed like she was having s bad day each time I visited. I've only seen about 6 technicians that work there and literally half of them are inexperienced. I had on old acrylic which made my original nail turn green so instead of replacing the acrylic the technician just covered it with more powder! Also, I left with dried acrylic on my fingers, messy. The technician did not file the acrylic down around my cuticles which caused the nail polish to bleed onto my fingers, tech did not clean it up. The tech also left my nails significantly uneven after filing numerous times. Hence, all of my nails were a different length. Lastly, the tech didn't polish my whole nail! There were blank spots on my nails. This place seems to be full of amateurs and I will not be going back! read more

My gel polish chipped off after 3 days on more than 6 fingers . when my nails were done they tried to cheat me near my cuticles soooo bad , that it already looked like I needed a fill in on a fresh set of nails . After my nails dried when I went to get up a tack Sticky substance all over the back of my shorts. Family owned place. Been awhile since I've been back to Perfect Nails, moved a few years ago. It used to be white and green but I totally love the warm colors now. Two new faces, but my go-to-gal is Mai. She does my mother's nails and now mine too lol. Prices have gone up by a few dollars here and there but service is great as always. It was really funny when Mai finally realized who I was and everyone that worked there for years yelled out in disbelief too. It was like visiting relatives you haven't seen in forever. They have a whole bunch of gel polishes too, that's cool. In all honesty, I'd stick with Mai as my technician but Valerie, Vy and David are great alts. read more

I went here as a last resort and it was a big mistake. A man was assigned to do my nails and Im always hesitant about that because well men are rough but whatever. He does the worst coffin shapped nailed I've ever seen in my life. I got gel too and the polish was uneven and lumpy. Last straw: after requesting to get my eyebrows waxed he asked if I wanted the rest of my face waxed then he asked why I was so hairy and then he proceeded to call me a monkey I don't respond I get up and get my eyebrows waxed and when I go to pay at the front I asked the receptionist to fix my nails and she has to do basically the whole thing over. read more

The nail technician I LOVE is "V" and she does and incredible job! Yesterday I went there without reaching out to her due to a pressing engagement. Got some other technician (first row, second chair) she had just gotten back from vacationing in Vietnam . She chatted the ENTIRE time I was there and did a HORRIBLE job. Filed them too thin and the ends are sharp. Also her technique for gel paint made it Buckle at the end. I made her repeat. Still isn't right. Beyond that, I see roaches each time I'm there. This time, one crawled out of the fluorescent light that dries gel polish. Gross!! Damn lady kept wanting me to put my hand back in there. Hell no! I question how clean this place is cause they totally blow off your concerns about bugs. read more

This had been my go to nail salon. I would get my nails done, my eyebrows done as well as bring my 7 year old to have her nails painted and I would tip the staff there well for their service. They provided great service, I had no complaints whatsoever. On Sunday, April 11, I had gone there to get the acrylic removed from my fingernails (this was my very first time getting acrylic and I had it for 2 weeks, just for vacation). The nail technician tending to me, to my horror, started to PRY the acrylic from my nails. I'm not sure what the piece of instrument that she was using is called, but she pushed it underneath the acrylic and tried to LIFT it off my nails. I could not believe it. I retracted my hand and told her that it was painful, she continued. I asked her if there was a less painful way to do it. I had to Google how to remove acrylic and I asked her about using acetone, after which she brought a bowl of acetone. I asked her if this is how other people allows their acrylic to be pried off like that, to which she responded, "I'm just not used to it." All the other staff there are wonderful, but it was the older lady who usually sits at the front and collects the payments.. The ordeal was just extremely appalling, egregious and to say the least, very traumatic. I will not be going there again. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Well, this place is pretty miserable. I took my mother and myself here for pedicures after she was gracious enough to help me through a stressful move. Alas, I did not repay her in kind. Where to begin... the polish was old, mostly cheap drug store brands with dried polish caked on and around the caps and sides of the bottles. We should have just left then. Instead, we sat down in pedicure chairs that may once have been nice, but certainly are no longer. They were broken and torn, and didn't work at all. The pedicures were quick and both of our technicians made numerous mistakes. I ended up with polish on my cuticles and misshapen toenails, but I was the lucky one. My mother ended up with an infection in her toenails that took a trip to the doctor, medication and months to heal. Ugh. Never ever going back. read more

I truly wished I had looked this place up on Yelp before I went. I was out running some errands and was in need of getting my eyebrows done before an event. So I drop by this facility... The lady who was going to work on me comes up to me and directs me to sit in a nail chair. I was thrown off because usually nail salons have separate stations for their waxing, but as I was looking at the setup, it was clear the cleanliness of the facility and their equipment was one of the last things they were concerned about. I'm giving her directions on how I want my eyebrows, which she barely acknowledges, and then just immediately begins waxing my eyebrows, she didn't brush them or trim them or ANYTHING. She was rough and did a lot of plucking ( which she could have avoided had she trimmed them). I was in the chair for about 4 minutes max, and I could barely see the work on the dirty mirror she handed to me. So I just pay and go. Once I get into my car, I see my eye brows look like trash, still had hair in between my brows AND still had wax on several places of my face. Sat in the chair for 4 mins for a 10 second looking eyebrow job. I just went home and cleaned up my brows myself. My point: If this is the work they did on my brows, I can only imagine their work for manis and pedis! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money here!!! Really love this place. I have natural nails and get the gel polish that lasts 2 -3 weeks on your natural nail. The staff are pleasant, they do very neat work and I've been fortunate thus far an never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Worst customer service!!!! This was my first time going , I loved my nails till 3days later one of them broke just by me opening a door then the next day I broke a nail just by putting my towel on from getting out the shower. I didn't even knew it broke until I felt the nail hanging on my nail and ripped apart of my nail off. I go back to the nail salon not asking for anything free but to see if they can take them all off and I can reschedule with them later , they told me NO! I usually don't Post "negative" Reviews, but I consider this Post to be not only a "Review" but more so, a "Warning " and "Public Announcement ". On last Friday afternoon, I visited "New Perfect Nails" in my Fort Washington neighborhood to have my nails done and a lip wax. The gentleman who did my nails nipped my cuticles several times with no "apology ". However, the most outrageous thing that happened to me was a horrific "lip wax" done by one of the ladies in this nail salon. After getting home and looking in my bathroom mirror, I was "horrified" to see a breakout of large puffy bumps all around my mouth which began to turn into a terrible itch and painful irritation. Since I had experienced a slight irritation in the past from another Nail Salon, I didn't panic right away. I washed my face several times with warm water and applied alcohol to the area on my face. After a couple of days, I noticed a "slight" improvement in the area on my face, but it still itches occasionally. I brought some itch ointment from CVS and have been applying it daily. So this my "warning " and "public announcement " to everyone that may consider going to this Nail Salon...you have been warned! read more

The place is ok. Some of the technicians do a good job and some do not. But I question how sanitary they are in there. A lady got the hairs on her toes waxed and the technician dipped the same stick with the wax that she places on peoples face, eyebrows, lips, chin, etc. on that woman's feet and then back into the hot wax bowl. This visit I went to Val. It was last minute before closing and she squeezed me in. Let me just say she is the bubble in bubblegum, ok! I get the gel manicure and when I say she laid that polish. She laid that gel polish soooo incredibly smooth that it didn't have any streaks in it. I thought all gel polish comes out streaky. My nail shape is beautiful and I've gotten so many compliments on my gel manicure. If you give the place a visit please go to Val or Tom they are incredible. read more

The first time I went to this place, I was impressed. I got there right at 10 when they open to get a pedi, full set, and brows. My one issue with the place was that I requested coffin style nails, which were not done properly, and was charged $5 extra for it without being told. (The woman that sits at station 4 did my nails) Side note: While I was in the salon the first time, a lady came in complaining that anytime she gets her nails done here, the nails always break, so she came in to get 5 nails re-done. Fast forward 4 days later. I wash my hands and my nail breaks. I was infuriated, so the next morning, I was at the salon at 10. When I got there, a man came to the door, half asleep, saying I should come in the next hour because no one is there to fix my nail. I call before I went back, and was told to come. When I got there, the same guy who opened the door in the morning was the one who ended up fixing my nail, after he told me that no one was there to fix my nail. He fixed it, and didn't charge me, which is why they got one star. 6 days later, I see that 4 more nails are splitting/about to break at the same place as the first one. I will be going there tomorrow morning for an explanation. read more

This place has a lot of nail techs the wait is usually short. Here is my issue. I had a mani and a pedi and my cuticles were cut too short. I been to this place a several times and they never cut my toe nails short enough.My biggest pet peave is when several of the techs work on my nails such as one does my mani and another my pedi. I usually get the gel polish and a couple of times another tech will remove my polish. The problem with all these multiple people is who do I give the tip to? This irritates me to no end but in the end if I am going to give 5 dollars it get divided times 3. If you just want you nails done and nothing fancy then go to this place. read more

I came here to get my nails done before my holiday trip but they did a piss poor job. As I checked my nails once I went outside, as I always do, and noticed that the polish was not even. I went back in immediately and the technician was so engrossed in her phone and acted like she didn't want to fix the problem. She slapped some polish on my nails with no top coat and then had me sit under the "dryer". I was disturbed and I vowed NEVER AGAIN. The next day, the polish was chipping away as if I had the polish on for weeks. I was told..."you should have come back". Why is my polish coming off after a few hours? Very disappointed and I will NEVER set foot in this establishment again. I went to this place last week, for the first time, for a quick fill in. What a huge mistake I made. The lady with the long, faded hair that did my fill-in (she sits in back, far, left corner of the shop) did the most awful job I have ever seen in years!!! She left remnants of black polish on my nails from the previous color and other dirt particles on the nail as well..I went there beccause I was in a rush and figured I would give them a shot. When she finished, I expressed how unhappy I was with her shoddy work and asked to speak to the owner or manager. To my surprise, "they all said" no manager was there...there are no words to express how ugly my nails were. Even though I paid for her services, I will never step foot near that place agian, and I will tell everyone I know to NOT patronize that place. Not to mention, the pedi chairs and overall conditon of the eqiupment was gross. The pedi chairs were upholstered with cheap shiny plastic material and had layers and layers of grease stains on the head section...Trust me, do not waste your time or money at this place.
