The technician spent a couple of hours diagnosing the issue and was thorough and communicative. The technician on site was not 100% conversant in English but it was important to him that I understood the problem and he did an admirable job explaining it. Then Alex called me to explain it again and his explanation was consistent with the technician's. He emailed me a detailed description of the problem along with a proposed solution and clear pricing. I paid the $200 diagnostic fee via Zelle. Unfortunately, my boiler needed several new parts in order to be safe to operate (news to me as I had just had a maintenance visit from another provider 3 month prior). The technician was emphatic that I not run the system until the problem was corrected. I understand that the team drove out of state to retrieve the necessary parts for me so that my family would not be without heat overnight. They returned the same day and installed the parts. Again, I paid the sizable but reasonable repair cost via Zelle. The team was careful to explain to me that this safety/pressure problem was not the reason for the noisy pipes! So, they fixed the dangerous issue but still needed to do a valve replacement. They came the next day to replace the valve and found that a more involved job would be necessary because of the age and condition of the radiator battery in my bedroom. But, they explained that they could not do the extensive work in the cold weather because of a risk to the pipes and a possibility that we would be without heat for an extended period of time. They replaced what they could and said they would do a more complete job in the spring when the weather is warmer. So, my pipes are still noisy and I spent a lot of money but at least my boiler is safe to operate. Assuming that they are able to complete the repair job in the spring at a reasonable cost and with the same timeliness that I have experienced so far, I will be happy to continue working with them. It is refreshing to deal with a repair company that handles client communication in such a professional manner. Everyone was careful about wet shoes and mess and all of that, which was also welcome.

Due to permit issues we had for a separate matter, I had to reschedule with Mr.Air multiple times. They also had to hold 4 mini split ACs and two condensers for months because of the rescheduling. We had to change the order a few times due to changing our minds on the location of the condenser as well as electrical work needed. At no point did they complain or demand we store the equipment or move up the date. We had all of the ACs installed in one day (9am to 8pm), and they provided plastic to cover furniture. They didn't slack and didn't complain about my father hovering over them (he loves to watch contractors so he could learn; which I'm sure isn't pleasing to any contractor). Overall, the entire team at Mr. Air was fantastic to work with and so kind to us!

The plumber did not turn our gas back on so now we are having to spend additional money to have the gas put back on for our tenant. We called him, texted him and sent email to Ice Age and no help yet! Overall I would recommend ice age,but I would be hesitant to trust the contracted plumber they use. Kevin is a nice guy, but ultimately cared about getting paid for time rather than work, if that makes sense. In short, we paid him well (more than the rate we had been quoted over the phone), but he couldn't diagnose the problem with our HVAC unit and help us. We had to hire a second HVAC contractor to get the job done, which ended up being super simple. More detail, in case it's helpful to others: Kevin spent almost 3 hours trying to figure out why our Mitsubishi mini-split wasn't listening to our Nest thermostat and turning on. Kevin charged us $325 (the $150 diagnostic visit fee we had been quoted by Lily over the phone, plus an unexpected $150 for one hour of labor time, plus tax), saying he was "90% sure" we needed to replace the control board. Kevin expressed to us that "a licensed Mitsubishi technician" would need to troubleshoot our unit with Mitsubishi on the phone to definitively determine the problem. He said the call "would take hours." Turns out the issue was super simple and would've been caught through basic troubleshooting! We had another HVAC contractor come, and in 10 minutes he discovered the issue was a dirty drain pan.

He knew the issue right away before even taking out the floor. And you know what, he was right! I have explained issues over the phone to Angelo, and he knew what the issue was and how to fix it.
