I was nearby in the neighborhood getting my car serviced at Nissan. I had alot of time to kill so I walked to NPN. I read the great reviews and was in search of a great nail salon nearby the 5 towns area. New Proud lived up to the hype. When you walk in you're automatically blown away by the ambiance. Alot of bright colors, modern design and great pedicure chairs and stations. The owner took me right away and Lucy greeted me at my station. I came in for a manicure & pedicure service and as always I bring my own polish so that I have options. This salon has a large selection of polish. Orly, OPI and Essie. They offer the new OPI 10 day shine polish also. The pedicure service was very thorough. Lucy was kind, gentle and asked how I wanted my nails cut and filed. I really like that they take their time here with each customer. The massage chairs are heavenly and so is the soft music they play. The massage chairs provide the perfect amount of pressure. They don't tear up your back muscles or strike nerves. After your service each technician provides a complimentary massage. This is something I haven't experienced in YEARS. Prices have gone up but services have gone down. New Proud has stuck to standards. The only negative here is the products. They don't use soap or foot products in the food bath. I was expecting salt scrub but I assume you have to upgrade to a more elite package for that option. Regardless, the service was great. My pedicure came out good. I love David and his staff so much... they have always been more than accommodating to me they keep everything super clean and I have my own box to keep my own personal set of tools. The guy that sits at the first table did my nails. I did an acrylic fill with glitter powder $38 Place gets lots of traffic mixture of elderly and young people in the area Lots of free parking across the street from the store or 2 hour parking on the street. This place is horrible when it comes to appointments. Since they opened again after covid lockdown they make 5 people appts at the same time then only take the people they want to take and make you wait about 2 hours. My appt 3:00pm and waited until 5:00pm, they were taking someone who had a 3:30pm before me and I had to speak up for them to not take that lady and do my nails. They also have no actual price for things, they make up prices as they do your nails! Never going to this place again. read more

The girls in here are SUPER friendly and very accommodating. I always leave happier than when I walked in because of their fast, friendly service. The $10 chair massage is a MUST! The girls are all very careful and conscientious. $18 for a manipedi is unbeatable. I hate going to other fancier salons in the city that charge double that for a pedicure alone where you feel like another number. The owner, Lisa, will take her time to get to know you and what you like, even make recommendations to you based on your skin. They use OPI and Essie polish here, which is another shocker due to the low price tag. I'm a huge fan. Wish more people knew about them...but maybe not. Don't wanna have to wait in line! read more

Great service! My daughter had a design she found on Pinterest and the gentleman was able to recreate it no problem. They even fixed the nails twice when she tapped them and smudged! Was looking to get my nails done at about 5pm on Good Friday somewhere near my job, as I was fed up with the nail salons by my house. I called some salons in the area, and no one had an opening earlier than 7pm! I had just given up the idea when I saw Proud nails was 3 minutes away. I quickly made the left off of 878 and found the place immediately. There is free parking across the street, which was a dream ( I probably looked pretty funny scrutinizing every sign I could find) and I walked in to ask how long the wait was for a pedicure and gel manicure. They told me "pick color". The rest of the experience was very lovely, I have no complaints. They have some practices I have never seen before, but the end result was beautiful, clean and safe, and the price point is great. My color gel lasted the solid two weeks before chipping at all, it was well applied. I just made an appointment to go back tonight! Will update if my rating declines with more visits, but I doubt it will. Tip: bring cash, the prices are discounted. They were kind to me and to a few others who had to pay with cards the day that I was in there and let it slide, but I would never expect it. Very nice people! read more

I am very picky about who does my UV gel fill in's. It's surprising how many places are so terrible at this. The guy does a PERFECT job every time. I don't even have to have him correct anything (file, shape, etc) He knows exactly how to do the right job the first time. I found this place because I work close by and when I move, I will still travel to come here to get my nails done! read more

RUDE AND RUSH ON YOU! You would think that with his experience he does the best job, NOT THE CASE!! My fake nails looked as if I put them on and filed them myself - HORRIBLE!! Chunky, squared like a box, and when you ask him to please fix it he gives you an attitude! All of a sudden now they don't book appointments?! Definitely not worth going here anymore. I went in to new proud nails on tuesday sept. 12, i wanted the gel manicure listed as $22 on their advertisement outside their business. When i told the attendant she suggested i get the $25 gel manicure because "the $22 will not last" after a brief back amd forth, me not understanding why they would advertise something that is no good. I agreed to the $25 . The next day i noticed my nails were lumpy and the nail polish was seperated. It looked bad. Still i figured whatever i can live with it. 3 days later my nails start chipping. Now I'm upset because this was not supposed to happen with the $25 mani. I go into the shop the young lady said no problem we fix. I wait now the owner (i beleive his name is Dave ) comes to me. I show him my nails and he proceeds to tell me its my fault because i had acrylic nails before and that is why the polish has seperated nothing to do with what he did . I show him the chopping he again says thats my fault i must have bewn rough. We go back and forth he tried to convince me and the customers that i was lying i caused this even though its only been 4 days since i paid for a gel mani. Had i known this i would have fotten a $7reg. Mani. He was rude speaking in his language . He sent a girl to fix one nail. I showed her the others and asked her if that was normal? She spoke to Dave in their language and then agreed with him but then changed their mind and wanted to fix it. I then refused. At this point i wanted out of there and want to post on any and all sights i can possibly post on. This place is horrible ! The owner has horrible customer service skills . I lost $25 and my blood pressure went through the roof. But Mr. NEW PROUD NAILS OWNER, YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED IN YOUR BUSINESS. Very nice Very clean nail salon ! So I have to give 3 stars ! They did a beautiful job on my friends nails . So I decided to give them a try few times ! Well my nails were decent ! The manger that works there is slightly rude ! I felt like every time I went they found some way to charge me a few dollars extra ! I don't know if they do this because people were not tipping the workers ??? That's a trick some restaurants and salons use . But Changing the shape of your nail is an extra charge more filling is an extra charge certain regular nail polish (not gel ) is an extra charge . I felt like every time I went in and requested a simple service they found some way to add some kind of extra charge! Nice place but I work in a salon I know all about the Business !
