At my new patient appointment, I was quite impressed with the staff's love for animals and kindness…read morein their care. That being said, what I was told in regard to my pets' care and what I observed in practice at this clinic is filthy and profit oriented. I was told that I did not need to schedule an appointment for a follow-up ear cleaning for the second pet in my household (as the first one had ear mites thus requiring both pets to receive treatment), but upon calling they refused to care for my second pet unless he had a full blown evaluation. This being somewhat trivial, I blew it off. However, upon bringing the second pet in for said appointment, the veterinarian insisted on a serious and risky operation be performed ASAP within a week as pet #2 has a fractured canine. Having been to two other providers for this pet before, I was always told that it was an issue that may eventually need taken care of years down the road, so I was taken aback. They provided me with a quote for the operation that was 3x as costly as what I had been quoted by my two different vets when I called them and downright dismissed the aptitude of my previous providers insisting that pet #2 could already have a life threatening infection. Second opinions confirmed my suspicion that I was being pushed into into an expensive/risky procedure when there was no urgent issue at hand. On top of this, during the appointments I was there, this practice insisted that I purchase their products/medications instead of over the counter supplements/meds. This is about half of the suspicious practices I encountered in my few visits to this clinic. As a clinician myself, we live in an medical system where the agency of the care provided is in our hands to a degree (AS IT SHOULD BE). There is a time and place for being directive, but squeezing your clients for their money and more importantly, risking their pets wellbeing, is disgusting. Thank you for your kindness, Briarwood. It was noted as that when scheduled. However, at the appointment my dogs weight was taken, tummy checked and then I'm told they have to refer me out for this. You knew what the appointment was for from the very beginning, but had me still come in just to charge me a visit and refer me. If you are not able to help pets with anxiety then say that and not waste someone time off, money and gas.

When I started researching the options, I saw that Curbside does NOT declaw cats which is very important to me. So we gave them a shot and now Dr. Zaring is our official family vet. She is so good, always treating the cats with care and respect! I don't think they'll ever enjoy going to the vet but they do really well with her. I also appreciate her bedside manner with us as owners. She was with us through the loss of one cat and really did a great job of making an incredibly painful experience, a little less terrible. We asked for answers, they took a week to respond and this after multiple attempts on our end to contact them. We wanted closure. They only talked to us after contact with their higher ups and owner to create what felt like a rehearsed response, where they wanted to know "what we wanted to get out of this situation." This was not an empathetic response for mourning pet parents, trying to understand what happened. I truly believe our reptile would be alive if we didn't take them here. THEY SHAVED MY POMERANIAN TO THE SKIN AND IT WON'T GROW BACK!!…read more I had previously taken my Pomeranian to the Brownsburg location for grooming and never had any issues. They meticulously kept notes on the length of all haircuts. I had to book a grooming session at their Danville location because Brownsburg was booked. They pulled up all of his grooming notes from previous haircuts at Brownsburg and we had agreed that there was no matting and to do a trim that wouldn't be shorter than a few inches. After 4 hours, I received a call from the groomers in Danville saying they were still working on him. They mentioned that there was a little bit of matting on his belly so they'd have to cut that area a little shorter. Other than that, they said his haircut was coming along good. Upon arrival, the groomers brought out my dog that had been COMPLETELY SHAVED DOWN TO THE SKIN across his ENTIRE body. They handed him over smiling saying how good he looked. I was in such shock and did everything not to cry. They offered to bring out the groomer, but I was already running late to catch my flight so I declined. I later sent them a message expressing my disgust with their service. Never received any response from them and have yet to hear back from them. ANYONE who is a basic groomer knows that there are certain breeds whose hair you NEVER shave. This includes Pomeranians. In the past, his hair has gotten pretty matted after swimming in the pool all summer. I've ALWAYS had groomers call me explaining why they wanted to shave down his hair and ALWAYS had to sign an agreement giving them consent to do so. Even at his worst matting phase, they NEVER EVER thought it was ok to shave his hair down straight to the skin. This haircut was back in July. It has now been 5 months and there are major patches on my dog where the hair has not grown back at all. His entire coat is permanently damaged and will never grow back the same. We have tried coconut oil, medication, cbd, etc. Nothing seems to grow it back. To top it off, when he was shaved down to his skin, it was in the middle of July so he suffered from very bad sunburns as his skin was fully exposed for months. Friends and family have recommended I take legal action since his coat has been destroyed and they have refused to respond or make any effort to correct their poor decisions. I wanted to wait a few months to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the shaving wouldn't be so damaging. But seeing that his coat is so damaged and still not growing back in massive chunks, I felt it was time to share how terrible of a job they did.

Every single time I've called needing care, I've been told they're "too busy today," "too busy tomorrow," and basically unavailable when it matters most. Emergency situations always end up being handled--and paid for--at another veterinary office. It's become very clear that this practice prioritizes horses, not dogs. If you own a horse, maybe this is a great vet. If you have a dog, this is one of the worst places you could take them. Appointments are another issue entirely. You can expect to wait an hour or more past your scheduled time with no explanation. There is no respect for clients' time or schedules. The final straw was today. I brought my dog in for a simple nail trim. After the visit, she was limping badly and unable to put weight on her back left leg. I immediately called the office, and their response was essentially that they had "no idea why" and that "nothing happened." There was no concern, no accountability, and no willingness to help. This practice does not show care or urgency when it comes to dogs. It feels transactional and dismissive, and at this point, I would strongly advise dog owners to avoid this clinic altogether.

Negan and I have an extremely close relationship and he is very attached to me. He isn't happy if I'm not close by. Because of his Malinois tendencies, I watch Negan closely. Since he was a puppy, Dr. McDavitt has been his vet. Last year he suddenly became ill with shooting green diarrhea & throwing up. I called and Dr. McDavitt told me to come right in. His symptoms were strange and she immediately began researching possible problems and testing for them. She quickly found his problem and we successfully treated him. Recently, I noticed a small hematoma in his right ear. I called and her office scheduled him for surgery immediately. Dr. McDavitt didn't refer me to an emergency clinic or delay surgery, she made time for him. Negan is like many Mals, a little mouthy and not always friendly. The people at the clinic are great with Negan and allow me to help manage him. Not many practices will let you help. Few vets understand a strong dog and it's interesting that Negan likes the people in the McDavitt clinic. Dr. McDavitt used the latest surgical technique for the hematoma and the result was outstanding. Often, the ear won't stand after hematoma surgery, but his looks great. Her prices are extremely reasonable. If you need an excellent vet, visit Dr. McDavitt!
