Luckily, I had a "Thank You" card with my discharge packet that capture their names (cause that anesthesia be bussin' and causes short term remembery loss...). In all seriousness, the team at Ambulatory Surgery Center demonstrates professionalism and most importantly, compassion from start to finish. For transparency, my procedure was scheduled at the ASC through my GI doctor (Dr. Ali), who maintains a separate practice from the ASC (as far as I understand). Given this fact, the coordination was streamlined. The key here was the communication I received throughout that kept me informed and allowed me to appropriately prepare for the procedure. The digital process for patient registration was very easy to navigate, while the pre-op survey was direct and focused. I continued to receive text reminders along with pre-op instructions to ensure that I was on-track for the big day. ASC is a stand-alone facility; it doesn't share the physical building with any other entity. I find that this made it easy to identify and locate as you're arriving for your procedure. On the day of my procedure, I was promptly checked-in. This process set the tone for the procedure. In my opinion, the thoroughness of this process gave me some peace of mind before the actual procedure. After was I checked-in, the nursing team and staff took care of me the rest of the way until the procedure and post-op. They were super friendly and nice, making small talk to calm some nerves, while tending to each patient's needs. Overall, ASC showcased the dedication that one would expect from medical professionals.

It was dark, and the front entrance had a light that was flickering which gave me vibes of "you can check in but can't check out." Now I can tell you that before going in I was seriously freaking out, and seeing this creepy doomsday light flickering didn't help. Of course I know my mind was playing tricks on my already freaked out brain...but when I walked inside I can honestly say this was the nicest and cleanest surgical center I've had been a patient at. The nurses, the anesthesiologist, and of course the doctor and check in staff were all very kind, understanding, and thorough. They knew I was very very very nervous and were kind and sympathetic to my fears and concerns. They answered all of my questions and my mother's questions too. They even had these little heating devices that blew into the sheets that kept me warm... when I let them know that sometimes I wake up nauseous after anesthesia, they made sure to be proactive about that and I did not have a issue. When I addressed the issue that in a past procedure I had done at a hospital I had developed a complication with the IV site a couple days after release with a hysterectomy they made sure to be proactive in giving antibiotics in the surgical room and also send a prescription home so that would not happen to me with this surgery. Someone also made sure to check in after the surgery to make sure everything was okay and wanted to see if there was anything that I needed. All in all, this surgical center has been absolutely fantastic and all the staff were top notch!!! I definitely can reassure you that if your experience was like mine, your procedure will be smooth sailing from start to finish. Well done there team! A week after surgery, I am still recovering well.

Two days later, I feel much better because of the treatment I was given. GUIDEWELL is the benchmark that all medical care should strive for. He can get several things all handled in that one building which is nice for him. His primary doctor is there along with his podiatrist and is also able to get his lab work done there. I had to leave work due to numbness in my feet only after standing for 10 minutes straight. I have had this issue for months and it keeps getting worse. I believe it's nerve problems caused by an underlying condition, they did not seem to care. They said a MRI is what I need but they won't give me one even though they are also an imaging facility so they should have machines to give me one. They seemed disappointed that I didn't have pain due to an injury recently although they could tell I was in pain. The workers got annoyed when I asked questions about what I was getting done and when I listed more problems that I was having. They kept pushing it off saying " it seems like sciatica nerve pain and there is nothing we can do here". Which I find ridiculous, they could have ordered more scans for me so they could find why it's getting worse especially since it's been going on for 6-7 months. They gave me three pills , a lidocaine patch , and a shot which all barely helped. I do not recommend going here at all.

I returned to this facility last week to complete a blocked tear duct due to scarring from…read moreextensive basal cell carcinoma damage. It was like going home! The nurses remembered me from the extensive facial damage the cancer had caused and especially the eye I painted on the patch covering the large hole in my face. Once again, their kindness, compassion and professionalism was outstanding! Checking in was quick, preparing for surgery and my incredible got the catheter in one stick, which is a miracle in itself as my veins are not needle friendly. My surgical nurse explained every single action she did and why! She made sure that I was comfortable and warm before the anesthesia cut it. Recovery was fantastic as I was in a good deal of pain which the nurse addressed immediately and added some pain suppressant that would cut in later. Nick, who took care of me when I was there2 years ago, was still so sweet and gently escorted me out to leave the facility. This place is not spacious with state of the art accommodations, but they are the most efficient, caring and professional medical staff I have ever met!!!!

With that said, the front desk staff has always been welcoming and helpful. Mo the nurse or medical assistant is upbeat, friendly, and extremely helpful. Dr. Miller, the Hand Specialist, is warm and has an amazing bedside manner. She is very thorough with her examinations and explains things in details. She listens to my concerns or questions and gives me detailed responses. I could not be happier with my recovery. It may be slow, but slow healing is better than the quick worsening that I experienced while being treated at another clinic and a general physician.

Even though the lobby was empty, I waited over an hour before being seen. During check-in, an employee interrupted the process to ask the receptionist what she had gotten him for his birthday. Instead of focusing on the patient in front of them, they continued talking about the birthday conversation, which made the interaction feel disrespectful and unprofessional. The physical performed by the physician assistant also seemed rushed and incomplete. I had a physical at another location the day before, so I had a clear basis for comparison. The exam at this location felt more like a box-checking exercise than a thorough evaluation. I ultimately decided to walk out because I no longer had confidence in the level of care I would receive. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location to anyone who values professionalism, respect for patients, or quality service.
