Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The salesman I dealt with was rude and nonchalant throughout the interaction. What was even more frustrating was that my prepaid order was apparently canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was not properly informed about the cancellation, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse. I understand that issues can happen with orders, but I expect customers to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially when there is a problem with an order that has already been placed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope Lax and Wine & Spirits takes this feedback seriously and provides better customer service and communication in the future. All of the wines, beers and liquors are well organized and labelled - which makes it a pleasant shopping experience. I guess it's better to say like an adult kid in a liquor store. I thought Maryland Farms had quite an extensive supply of various liquors and wines. Overall, I thought the staff was very helpful in helping me find all that I need to find. Since the store is pretty well laid out, I really did not need their help in finding what I needed, but it's the though that counts. Also, it was kind of cool that they were jamming to Cumbia-style Christmas songs. While this shop is a bit out of the way, I'll gladly make this one of my go-to stops for my liquor and wine needs. Otherwise, there have been some general updates --- the hibisco is in regular rotation, and they are open most Friday evenings now! Tours and tastings are still going strong, and yes, the gin is still my favorite. But one of my favorites -- RORY! Prices are great for the high quality mixology and they even offer free tastings of all their spirits. The bartender was so great and patient explaining everything even though we really weren't intending to drink (it was barely noon and we had the baby with us). This would be a really nice spot to stop by for pre-dinner drinks or after dinner drinks or just a casual Saturday to do the tasting and have some drinks. We will be back again once we have a sitter and can make a night of it. I would highly recommend hosting a Yelp event here. They deserve the traffic there.
