Sadly, this is the better of the two theaters on this side of town... when it reopened a few months ago it was pristine but as of January 2023 it's nearly as bad as the theater on Vaughn. You have to dispense your popcorn butter out of a scuzzy squeeze bottle, the lobby doesn't look like it's been cleaned all day, and the theater wasn't even lightly cleaned between showings. It's always some sh*t with this movie theatre. They need an entirely new staff. Each time I come it's a mess. Don't bother ordering food ahead or at all. Food takes as long as if you were at a restaurant. The staff has no clue what they are doing which creates unnecessarily long wait times and they all will tell you something different when asked the same question. It's usually dead in here but it still takes forever for them to do anything. And make sure to check your receipt as well! read more

It was weird at first when the theater changed hands. I definitely was sad because I was part of the old theatre's rewards plan. But I love New Vision's reward club, no cards needed just your phone number. The only thing is sometimes you have to remind your cashier to take your number for points. But I'm already reaping the rewards so I'm very pleased. The theater is large and well cared for. I wish Montgomery would get assigned seating already, because during the opening of a big movie you have to get to the theater pretty early to get a good seat. They introduced some new concessions items like crispy cookies (not worth the money) and donuts (still have to try these). The icees are good and they have a large selection of coke products. I like coming to this theater because it's close to me. It would be cool if they had more 10am showings of popular movies. But I do love the Friday 10am lineups. read more

This place used to be kept up so well before everything closed. Not so much now since it has reopened. The landscaping looks like something you'd see on the poorer sides of town. Trash everywhere, it has become a truck stop and now you find homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. Not sure if they can control the homeless people or not so I get that, but it's no excuse for the grounds of the property to look so horrible. read more

This theater isn't bad. It's clean and pretty quiet. However, I'm not a fan of the fact that they don't have have assigned or reclining seats. Maybe I'm just spoiled. Also the staff are not real attentive either. Most times it's hard to locate them. They stay huddled up chitchatting at the concession area. If you're looking for less crowds and a cleaner theater this is your go to! Just know it is more expensive than the AMC! read more

Went to the movies and they said they were out of popcorn and couldn't give me my change back because there was a "change shortage." I asked if the popcorn machine was broken and they said no.... So why no popcorn? Overall just seemed like poor management. Also attendant was rude. Will go to the movies elsewhere. read more

Movie theater on the Eastside of Montgomery by The Home Depot off Chantilly Parkway. They don't have all of the movies you want to see, just the most popular ones. The employees are respectful and courteous and the theaters and bathrooms are clean. I don't like the way they make you get your own popcorn and drinks after you pay for them. You have to stand in line for your tickets and pay for your concessions and then you have to stand in another line to actually get your drink and popcorn. So, I've been in Montgomery for the past three weeks and each weekend, I have gone to see a movie. Each time, I visited a different theater here, and this one was the best of the three locations by far. It's newer, in better condition, and cleaner, so if I were to attend another, I'd come back here. It's a bit more of a drive if you are coming from downtown, but worth the extra few minutes in my opinion. read more

This is the best movie theater in the Montgomery area. Since it's brand new, it's obviously nice and clean, and I hope the staff keeps it that way for many years to come. They have an "odd" ticket purchase system. You get in line at the counter you would buy food and drinks at to also buy your movie ticket. This is a bit confusing for those who aren't used to this set-up. Also, if you are buying popcorn you are given a receipt, once you pay and then have to cross to the other side of the lobby to pick-up your popcorn. Since you are only given empty cups, you have to go get your own soda as well. This is suppose to make life better for those in line behind you...does it speed things up? Maybe a bit. If you want to buy movie tickets and a beer, well you will be further annoyed, since you have to go to a separate line to purchase and receive alcoholic drinks. If you and your date want a movie ticket, a soda, a beer, and popcorn, you have a bunch of stops to make, be prepared. Once you get past the odd lobby experience you are welcomed to a nice modern theater sound/seating experience. I do wish that the fancy leather seats that they display in the lobby were offered in all of the theaters. Unfortunately those are only installed in their Big D theater...which only shows one (occasionally two) different movies per day/week...and there is a $2 upcharge to see a movie in that theater. Side note: If you are interested in seeing a good independent movie, go to the Capri Theater in the Old Cloverdale neighborhood. It's a much different experience, but I'm happy that Montgomery has a historic theater in town as well as this new modern theater. read more

This theatre is great. The seats are large, comfortable and also recline. If you want to just enjoy a beer while watching the movie you can do that also! Friendly staff as well and a clean theatre. However, I went there once and a severe thunderstorm occurred. I was told by one of the staff that they didn't have back up generators if the power went out. So be mindful of the weather when you go. read more

don't get confused as I did, ticket sales are at the concession stand. I guess this is smart to do, sell snacks and tickets together. they also sell alcohol, which can be taken into the theaters, as well. overall, the theater is nice and clean. no nasty soda residue or gunk sticking to shoes or arms. large comfortable seats. easily adjustable arm rests. they have specials on Tuesdays for snack combos. and it looks like they have a special going during the day for ticket pricing. it's about $6. I heard somewhere that this theater occasionally plays Korean movies, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for that. big open parking lot. bathrooms clean. make your own soda Coca Cola machine. thumbs up! read more

Good to see a flick at. The thought of adding your own butter to the popcorn will keep me coming back for more. They also serve beer here but they are in little 10 oz. cups and at $4.50 a pop, you better wait until after the movies to get your Beer Goggles on. And they will only serve you 3 of those tiny cups of Beer. Its probably best to get a Soda with Free Refills. Have not been in the Big Screen yet but am looking forward to seeing a movie on this screen. read more

I prefer New Visión because I feel safe and confortable. I do think the soda's are too much and the price should be lowered to at least $4.50. I know you have to make a profit but make the Popcorn smell fresher and raise it's price. Do you have any specials? You need to advertise online. read more

Great theater, crappy customer service. They make you go to the line where they serve food to buy your tickets. If you want a beer, you must get in the ONE line that serves beer and wine, but they don't tell you that UNTIL you get to the front of the line that does not sell alcohol. Then, after waiting your turn, the one girl that is manning then line walks off before serving you. Meanwhile your movie is playing and yoi miss the first part...no beer, no beginning of interstellar, epic fail on carmike for my $48.00 that I spent, I would have rather enjoyed a good kick in the butt and watched netflix at home read more

This theatre is better than AMC Festival Plaza 16 on Vaughn Road especially the Big D screen. Overall it was cleaner and more organized than the other theatre. One event that put a bad taste in my mouth after we purchased out tickets in from the Kiosk (quick and easy) was the employee who seemed to be out of it (literally). I wanted a water bottle and a pretzel with cheese and this employee a young female looked at me and said we don't have cheese. I saw cheese behind her and said you have no cheese and her response was "no cheese we can squirt out." I thought she was joking at first. She then proceeds to say it's a cinnamon pretzel so I said never mind on the cheese. I asked if that was the only kind of pretzel and she said "well there is like cinnamon on the inside of all of the pretzels." I was so confused by simply talking to this girl about a darn pretzel. Finally I made a purchase of a normal pretzel with no cheese and asked a manager if they had regular pretzels and he said yes and I also asked if he had cheese and he said yes it would just be extra. I told him maybe he should explain to the employees what kind of pretzels they had. When the girl came back to the counter I very kindly said they did in fact have a cinnamon pretzel and also a plain pretzel or a pretzel with salt and cheese was extra and she literally stood there at the counter looking at me and said "OK." I wanted to shake her. My husband just laughed and I had to walk away. She was just not receptive to anything anyone said. She was NOT smart at all at least that's how it came across. I just wish people were trained better and employees who held any kind of job treated the job like it was the best job ever!!! read more

The lobby is the most ridiculous three-ring circus I've ever had to navigate. If you want concessions, first you go to one side of this large room to purchase an empty cup and/or an empty popcorn bag. Then you get in another line on the other side of the lobby to have a worker fill up your popcorn bag. Then you go to yet ANOTHER station to fill up your drink. On top of that, they apparently overbooked the Big D screening I'd bought a ticket for and shunted the overflow to a smaller, regular-size screen-- which split me from the group I'd come with. I was so frustrated by this point I just gave up, got a refund, and left. Absolutely absurd. read more

This theatre is usually nice. Except for you would think if you came in at 11:00 movie there would be no kids but one young couple insisted on bringing one. The kid fell asleep and fell and hit the floor and started hollering, this happened twice!! But thank god the movie finally started even though it started at 11:37, about 10 mins before it started the managers came in and told everyone they apologized for the movie starting late and told everyone to be patient and still wait. Everyone was asking if they would give us free popcorn or soda or something. But I guess they didn't hear us or didn't want to hear us cause as soon as the people asked they walked right out the room. I can promise you it was maybe 20 people in the BIG DDD room. Yes 20. So I know they heard the ones asking. Lol. But I don't think we will wanting to catch anymore late night movies here. Anything after 10:30 is a big NO for us. read more

New theater with great seats, sound, and stadium setup. I'm not sure what this place is like on a busy night, but it was pretty much empty on a Saturday matinee. The prices are reasonable. There was not a lot of staff and I can see why buying tickets at the popcorn stand may not be the best way when things get busy. That said there are plenty of kiosks to purchase the tickets from. I would definitely come back to watch a movie here. read more

Arrived for a matinee. Seats very comfortable. The place was clean (no sticky shoes) but it was only noon. Good way to kill an afternoon in Montgomery. We did not try any of the food or drink. This is to express my dissatisfaction with the theatre rules. I went to the 10 a.m. movie thinking that this was considered a "matinee" time. The movie that I saw was being shown on a special screen which required regular pricing. In addition, they were assigning seats. There were only 5 people total in the movie! I think that whomever make the decision for the theatre should re-look at assigning seats and when to use special screens. The soda machine was not working properly. The manager seem to have had an attitude for whatever reason. This is why there is a decline in the number of people attending theatres. It is definitely not worth the hassle associated with attending. Especially for a movie that will probably be on DVD in a couple of weeks!! read more

Had a very nice experience overall. No line to wait getting in. Movie started right on time. The seats are great - staggered so that you can always see no matter who is in front of you. Only bad thing was the volume. It was horrendously loud and when I asked for earplugs they didn't have any. And no one bothered to turn down the sound either. For a high action movie the sound actually kind of hurts when it is so loud! read more

Go to movies at least twice per month. Always liked this theater and their rewards program, but last time something was wrong with the popcorn and/or butter. Absolutely no taste. Popcorn is half the reason we go to movies. Told manager and he did not seem too concerned. We are going to try amc for first time next. Hopefully popcorn is better. I really like this theater if U don't want to wait u get your ticket on the outside at the kiosk.....very easy and a lot cheaper. If I had a problem i told them and they took care of it, rite away. This is the only theater I will go to from now on love those seats. In fact I'm going today. read more
