I tried calling the store multiple times throughout the day, at many points, to no avail, to try to reach someone. Not a soul could be bothered to pick up, once over the many hours I called in, in which the store was open, and when I had the displeasure of finally reaching of reaching a person who went by Theo on the other end, they were curt and rude to deal with, and were of no help, not even with an apology for my time that was wasted from the shops poor communication throughout the entirety of the day. Honestly one of the worst communiques I have EVER had had with an LGS in years of play. It takes a lot to make me pissed enough to get up and write even a slightly less than positive review, so you can imagine how pissed I am at the moment. I had pre-ordered a MTG Lord of the Rings Collector Booster Box from this store on June 13th. I called to ask if my product was shipped on June 15th because I haven't gotten so much as a confirmation email or tracking number. They gave me an excuse about how they had "shipping malfunctions" so I asked what kind of shipping malfunctions and they said that UPS is on strike in Florida so my packages are delayed. So I asked, "Well what service provider did you guys use?" and they say USPS??? These people are from New Jersey. What does a strike in Florida have to do with New Jersey? To make it even worse, the fact that at this point they didn't even go the post office yet. So that excuse is invalid. The following Sunday (June 18th) I call them up and ask if they shipped anything yet and they respond, "Not Yet". I ask why and they gave me an excuse about how their shipping manager crashed her car so its delayed but she got a rental so they will ship it out first thing in the next morning on Monday (June 19th). Because I wanted to be understanding, I told them sorry to hear that and okay no problem. The next day evening, I still didn't hear a response so I called them up again and asked if I can get my tracking number. Their response is the shipping manager hasn't got to it yet and she will get to it tomorrow. Calmly, I told them, I trust you please just ship it out by tomorrow. June 21st, no response, no email confirmation of any kind, I call them up and ask, "Hey its been a week. Can you guys please tell me whats going on?" They literally responded with, "Oh I didn't know your package was suppose to be shipped. I thought you were coming to pick it up. Sorry I will ship it out tomorrow." Annoyed by this response I told them if they don't ship it out by tomorrow not only will I refund the charge but I will place a bad review. So they apologized and told me they will ship it out first thing in the morning on June 22nd. I guess they did not like my attitude because when I called them on June 27th, they finally gave me a tracking order number only for me to find out they purposely filed the wrong address so it would get returned to sender and annoy me back. When I contacted them about this, they tried to blame me for putting the wrong address down so I showed them proof that on their website which I ordered from and PAYPAL that I put the correct address. Because they got caught for lying, they tried to shift the blame to USPS for putting down the wrong address. I am tired of trying to deal with this scam of a store. They should not even own a business with all the underhanded sh** they are doing. If they clearly see that they can make more profit off a product that someone has purchased from them online because it increased in price before it got shipped it out, they will NOT send you your product! Because they would rather refund your money and make more profit off whatever they sold to you in the first place. No honor, no integrity, scum of the earth. read more

New World Manga is different from what I expected. It shares a building with several other businesses and its shop entrance is located in the front. The parking lot can be crowded and complicated due to a car wash being located in the back of the building. How's the Manga selection? it's ok, not as big as I expected. What the surprise was, is that New World Manga is a solid comic shop. Good new pull, wall book, and graphic novel selection. They seem to also concentrate on trading card gaming with many tables setup in the middle of the shop. Longbox selection is limited. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, New World Manga isn't the largest shop and the Manga selection could be better. It his however a prime example of a clean and modern comic shop that's worth visiting. read more

Ordered an extended art foil Nissa, Resurgent from these guys. It doubled in price after I ordered and of course they never sent the card out - claiming it was lost in the mail. They offered a refund but no replacement, making it extremely obvious what happened. NOT a trustworthy seller. read more

This has been my home for years. The staff have always treated newcomers with utmost respect, and are very integrated in the community. The people who come here are fantastic. If you wanna have a great time, I recommend coming for Wednesday commander nights or Friday night magic. No matter who you are, you are welcome, and you will find friends. New World Manga has definitely come a long way from being a disorganized little comic and manga shop to a central part of its town's heart and soul. Over the past two years, New World Manga has undergone new hiring and got some guys who are really dedicated to the comic and gaming scene. Now, NWM regularly hosts card and board game tournaments with exclusive prizes and events with comic professionals and sweet loot for customers. The staff is friendly and most of them try not to push products to get larger sales, but to push products that lead to better customer satisfaction. This usually comes in the form of a parent trying to buy a gift for their children. They give a staff member a description of their child's interests and the child's age, and the staff will pick an affordable gift that will keep the parents and children coming back for more. Also, it should be noted that NWM is incredibly clean. Most comic shops I've been too feel cramped and dusty, but NWM is easy to navigate and highly organized. Their manga selection has become a bit weaker over the years, but they still have a large selection of model kits, toys, and plushies. This is an excellent place to buy a gift for a special nerdy someone or something to treat yourself. read more

I've been going to this store for a while now, so I thought I've seen enough to write a review. Let's start off with the good. First off, the biggest upside that NWM has going for it is it's very nice environment, 99% of the players are very welcoming and are very friendly. Everyday I've went there I've made new friends. Also, the staff member that is usually there for Sundays - Matt, is a very cool guy, he is no different from the majority of the players. Where this review gets a 3* is some (not all) of the other staff members. A lot of the things that Matt does to make Sundays enjoyable, some of the other staff members do the opposite. On top of that, and this was a major turnoff to me, the owner overcharges for product. There's another store I go to where some booster boxes are $60 while at NWM it's $80. It's $30 spent to get an OTS pack (which they never seem to have now) where other places are $15 or $20. The new Starter decks for Cardfight Vanguard is supposed to be a cheap way for players to get into the game, so the creators, Bushiroad, made them $3.99 for everybody which was amazing. I go into the store and one of the staff members tells me $9.99. In complete shock, I check the Bushiroad website and it in fact says $3.99 still. I tell the staff member about it, he says, "I'm just doing what I'm told, you can check with the owner if you want" which is fair. I speak to the owner and ask, "These are $9.99?" He replies with "Yep, $9.99" I respond with, "What happened to it being $4?" He responds with, "Just $9.99". Ever since I question the integrity of the owner, I can't look at the store the same now. In conclusion, I still really like the place. All of the positive outweighs the negative. I'm going to continue to go there for tournaments because it's just that enjoyable and I believe you should as well. If you are going to do that though, I recommend you refrain from buying product there until the owner prices them the way they are supposed to be. I REALLY wanted to give this place a 5*, but there are definitely some noticeable flaws. read more

I knew the previous owner. I know the present owner (he was a long time customer.) It's a wholesome store. The employees and current owner strive to make the customers happy and are very friendly. Prices on Magic cards are competitive. Prices on comics and graphic novels are basically MSRP. They do offer a slight discount on manga. Going to Magic events is a good way to spend a Friday or Saturday. I highly recommend. read more

Frustrating review about the old and new version of this store. Used to come here as a kid in the late 90's/early 2000's era during the Pokemon craze. I loved coming in and getting cards etc. After seeing some of the rare cards in the display case, I thought I should sell my rarest card from the base set (yeah, that one). I was 12 years old or so. All of my cards were perfect, I took great care to keep them in sleeves etc. I'll never forget these clowns took my card into the back room to "look at it", came back after a few minutes with the same Pokemon card but not MY card. I immediately noticed the scratch, some edge wear etc. I said "this wasn't my card, what did you do to it?" They denied it. I didn't argue further because I was a kid but I remember being pretty frustrated. Renewed interest in the old Pokemon cards made this resurface for me. I didn't want to write this review, but man what garbage, toxic nerd behavior to jack a card from a kid. Now almost two decades later, that same card is worth thousands upon thousands if it's graded and in great condition. I am so mad at myself that I let these clowns scam me back then. I recently found out they were still in business. New owner, family bought the kid the store or something. I called to ask a simple question regarding card sleeves, said I was an old customer etc. Guy (not sure if it was the owner) was super rude to me on the phone. When you think of a cool comic book shop, this is it. It's like stepping right out of the Big bang Theory! The sales staff are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They never mind answering questions and most importantly, making good suggestions. I think that some customers may mistake their vast knowledge as arrogance. It's definitely not. Obviously they know just about everything there is to know about comics, manga, etc. Obviously that's a good thing when it comes to the staff of a comic book store. I came here to buy a bunch of comics for my fifth grader. The staff was so nice and helpful and I never felt talked down to as a newbie mom/chick. Shop is bright, super well organized and was full of kids playing a card game. Felt like a friendly, warm, safe community. read more

First time here. I have to say. The farthest drive to go to a comic store and I was not impressed. For the name of the store I was expecting more. There were two medium shelves full of Manga and at 20% off. And two medium shelves of comics new releases. They have two to three boxes of old stuff...nothing really really old. And statues are really limited. I saw about 3-4 comic statues and 4 mini anime statues. I did see tons of tables in the middle of the room. which has me to believe they are more towards to card games like magic and stuff and not Mangas and comics. So remind me again why the name of the establishment is not called card games? I guess this is the closest to a comic store they have in this area. Overall I have seen better. For a couple of miles closer to home i rather go to Zapp comics , which had a more well rounded selection. read more

The best store to go to. I have been a regular for a little less than a year now and I look forward to every time I pull into the driveway. Great selection of games, comics, action figures and more. It really brings out the nostalgia of when I was a little boy reading Spiderman and Superman as a kid. This is a great environment for kids and adults alike.
