It has been really stressful around here the past week or two. So I decided to treat myself to a massage. Checked Yelp... and found several 5 star options. Called New York Massage as they are close and convenient and scheduled a Saturday appointment. They called and let me know they could get me in earlier if I would like, but I stayed with the original time. Upon arriving, I was greeted in a friendly manner, and filled out their short information sheet. I met my masseur Laszlo, and we went back to the room he works in. He then proceeded to give me one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had. Really excellent! I think I may have found my massage go to! Very professional, and he has mastered a number of different types of massage... and is willing to dig deep to get the problem spots fixed. This is not a "fluff and buff" massage. Laszlo's extensive experience, skill & knowledge of trigger point releasing massage took my daily fibromyalgia pain from an 8 to a 1! His procedure felt very customized & unique to my issues, and not cookie-cutter at all. I was driving by a small yellow sign on the side of the road for years. Finally memorized the number and gave them a call. Easy making an appointment. Everyone is very nice, clear and specific. They spelled out the cost of an introductory massage is for new clients, one time only. I appreciate the information they gave me beforehand. Wonderful massage. I left feeling really good. Ok so I'm not one to write a Google or Yelp review and usually you only see people write reviews when things go south. However, I kid you not this was hands down the best massage I have received in years! Lazslo provided a prenatal massage that was so comforting, informative (since it was my first time) and ultimately very relaxing. It's so crazy to me how my other prenatal therapist rebooked me twice and the Lord sent me here. He knew I needed this place and Laszlo. What made the experience even more comfortable was that when I walked in, the health department was there doing a random/pop-in routine check up to make sure everything was clean and up to date. The health inspector gave the place phenomenal feedback. I called and they had an availability pretty much right away and because it was my first time it was just $45. Amazing! Laszlo is a genius at "reading" muscles and knows exactly what to do. You will not be disappointed. My husband has knots no masseuse or chiropractor has been able to take out... but not Laszlo! He worked them out on the very first session! It was like being married to a completely new man! I went in for a (much needed) prenatal massage and he blew me away. I left invigorated and even had energy to come home to a busy household with an energetic toddler. Let me tell you, I have never had a better massage in my entire life. I was in incredible pain stemming from my neck pain, to the point where I could not turn my head to the left. While on holiday I wanted to get a massage to relax, and timing happened to work out best at NY Massage. So I went, but my expectations were not high that it would be any better than just OK. The strip mall store front did little to encourage me. However, once Laszlo got to work, my opinion was raised immediately. Never have i been so relaxed as i am now having received a great massage from Rick! Most MT's only have a few techniques that they use. Not Rick! In addition to being state licensed, he has a national license as well as certification in sports, myo-faschial, trigger point & others that i can't remember. In Tampa he worked in a chiropractors office treating pain issues stemming from accidents. He is personable, listens to your needs & as engaging verbally as you want. Great value for the money!
