I came to get my eyelash extensions done and 1) the website says they offer the individual eyelashes and they DO NOT. The section where you sit to get your eyelash extensions done is disgusting. It's dirty and very disorganized. Their mirror wasn't even clean. The quality of the eyelashes feel super fake. I let them know that I was whiling to get my eyelashes even though they were not individual as long as they looked natural. NOTHING THEY OFFER LOOKS NATURAL. The asked three times to get the eyelashes trimmed because of how long they were. I specifically asked for them to not be long. At the end of the day I had to come home and trimmed them myself. I would NOT recommend the eyelash extension service. The job is poorly done. When I blink my eyelash waterline as well as my eye hurt. That clearly means they have no idea what they are doing. I've NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. I've been getting my eyelashes done for over 4 years and this has never happened. Not even in a foreign country (India) has this happened to me. Super disappointed, frustrated and annoyed. I never thought a trip to the salon would be so disappointing. Also... if you decide to come be ready to be hearing all the workers screaming across the room to each other having conversations. There is no peace. I received a pedicure and manicure, which was rushed for the price I paid. There are too many staff members in this facility playing and goofing off. The facility is unclean. The walls are full of dust, the stations are dirty and the gel machine is gross. Change the atmosphere, make it more relaxing, and put your staff cleaning up your facility! I was the least bit impressed with this establishment. The three stars is for the fact someone there will answer the phone, and they have time to take walk-ins. The place is not sanitary. The public restroom has become the facility storage room. The male who did my pedicure was extremely rough with pushing back the cuticles and pumice stone. I asked him to be more gentle multiple times. I am no newbie to pedicures and can take some discomfort, but I was in extreme pain. Then came time for the sugar scrub, he then massaged my legs with the sugar scrub for what felt like ages. He used so much pressure it felt like the sugar was glass shards cutting into my skin. Doesn't help that when I asked him to be more gentle, he didn't seem to understand what I was saying. I won't be returning here. read more

Rate 0 Do not go here for your eyelashes. My eye became infected, we went back to try to ask for my money back and they asked for a doctor bill and told us to come back at 6. We also asked if they had a licenses to do lashes and the lady at the front desk said "I think so" after stuttering. We asked to see it and she said "it might be on the wall but they are currently trying to get their license renewed." I do not think they are licensed and glue your lashes to the lid not your actual lashes. When I got mine removed, instead of using remover, she pulled out my real lashes. Did not give us a refund. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy my experience here. From the time I walked in to the receptionist desk, her attitude was very firm and not friendly. Next, the male who worked on my nails didn't give me a greeting (even after I greeted him). He just sat straight down and rushed his work on my nails, which just caused me to get a plain gel color and no designs. I wanted coffin but this is giving more a skinny straight shape. As for my gel pedicure, they didn't have the colors I wanted, for example "Bubble Bath", which is a nude/light pink. So I just ended up with a plain white, because they ended up cutting up my toenails too short for a proper French tip. I called and they were very nice about fixing the nails for free but when I arrived they wanted to give me the same technician that clearly doesn't know what he is doing or make me pay for another full set for someone else to do it. Came here with my sister and niece the technician that was given to me as walk-in was rude to me and my niece and only asked me what level pedicure I wanted. Then didn't ask me anything else. Two of my nails were left jaggid. Didn't buff finish or ask if I wanted a color. Made me feel like I was on assembly line not like I was a paying customer. Overall experience wasn't pleasurable at all nor professionalism shown. Manager did deduct $5 for miscommunication but wasn't enough for the unprofessionalism shown by technicians. read more

I wanted multi color and he kept forgetting which color went wear and then tried to charge me extra for taking off acrylic when I wasn't wearing any. I paid and left in frustration. I went to get my lashes done before a trip, to say it was even substantial would be a lie. I am only 16 but I know bad service when I see and experience it, I was already nervous when coming in as it was my first time going anywhere to get them done "professionally." To give them credit, they sat me down fairly quickly, but once I sat down I told the woman what I wanted and she started the process. Once she started doing my lashes I was feeling extremely nervous due to the fact that she was applying the individuals very heavily and my natural lashes already droop, she showed me the eye she had finished in the mirror and not liking the way it made me look I asked her to remove them. Now what I didn't expect was her to RIP the individuals off, I was genuinely appalled at the fact that she was doing that to my lashes, no oil, no makeup remover, nothing to make the process more gentle. My eyes were tearing up and I was on the verge of crying as she was being extremely violent with the removal. Although I appreciate not being charged for that "experience" that was the worst beauty service I've EVER experienced. Please get your staff trained so they are gentle, professional, and think more about what they're doing before they rip off somebody else's lashes. Thank you. read more

Came to do a quick pedicure.. got a guy who was pissed I said no gel for my toes and then hurt me the entire time doing my pedicures didn't file my nails or try to remove my dead skin. I went yesterday to take my tips and sns off (done by another nail salon that I love but were too busy to take me in) and the lady ripped off my natural nail by lifting my tip with another an acrylic tip! I told her I had never seen that technique before and that if I wanted my natural nail ripped off I could have done that at home! I let her know I did not like that and she then changed the way she removed the rest of my 9 nails and never attended me after that and just left me there. Her and her boss tried telling me that it was bc my nails were so thin and fragile. That was not the case because I left with my nails a mess from that place due to her not attending me, rushed service and placing the blame on the state of my nails and ended up doing my nails myself where all the other 9 nails did not break or chip due to them being "thin and fragile". read more

well this nail salon to start is way too expensive for the service i had received. Alex did a sloppy job in both my fingers and toes and left me unsatisfied for a 62$ bill. on my toes he was rushing and in turned messed up on one of the toes. instead of giving the whole toe he just slapped some paint on the hole in the paint and called it a day. then when doing my fingers he was extremely aggressive removing the cuticles cause them to be uneven. he also rushed through the paint leaving some nails see-through and some of the paint to end up on my skin. on sum as well half of them were not finished. not 10 min after leaving the shop the gel was already lifted and the tops of the nails were uneven. i wouldnt recommend this shop but if you do go there then do not take service from ALEX. read more

The worker was rude, i had to beg him to apply more polish. Also he didn't spend 20 mins on my feet. My heels look so bad. I told the manager and he didn't fix it. Normally I enjoyed my experience at New York nails and spa, but my recent experience was not so enjoyable. I went in to have a fill-in and pedicure for my birthday but came out with an okay fill-in and pedicure and a headache. The nail techs were so loud! They were talking to each other and whether the person was next to them or across the road their volume was on high. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Please read! I went to New York Nails & Spa to get Gel nail extensions, eyelashes extensions, and eyebrow waxing. My experience was a nightmare. The lady that was assigned to do them on me did not do what I asked from her. It looked like it really bothered her whenever I pointed out imperfections on my nails. When she finished doing my eyelash extensions and eyebrow waxing, I attempted to open my eyes to check my eyebrows and I noticed that she glued my top lashes with my bottom lashes... I couldn't open my eyes at all. Then, instead of using a glue remover she just used a tweezer in between the lashes and caused her to ripped a lot of my natural lashes off! it was very painful. I was so upset and frustrated and immediately asked her for a mirror. She told me she didn't have one and sent me to the bathroom. That is when I noticed she waxed off the front half of my right eyebrow....I was beyond terrified and angry at that point that I asked to speak to the manager. She apologized to me but when the manager came to speak to me, she accused me of lying and told him that the front half of my eyebrow was already missing before she waxed it. The manager showed very poor customer service. He did apologize for the incident and offered me a "discount" for the services to "make up for it". It infuriated me. That is when I told him that I was not going to pay for anything at all after all the pain and damage they cause me. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone . It makes me wonder if these people are even properly trained or licensed to perform these services other than nails. read more

I probably won't be going back. Not a personal, fun, or relaxing experience. Woman in the chair next to me was talking on speaker phone the entire time. Everyone just looked like a blob in a chair. No one appeared happy. Person who did my nails didn't speak to me or seem interested in me at all. So awkward to have someone touching my feet while also not acknowledging me despite my attempt to engage them. Their regular pedicure is very basic and comes with very little exfoliation and massage compared to what I'm used to in a regular pedicure. He couldn't find the right pink in fill my nails, as he was filling them i kept finding thing wrong with my nails, he had to fix. Then 10 days later i noticed this blue color underneath my pointer finger nail on the right hand, so i took the top coat off and it was green meaning(MOLD) I have never had this happen to me in my ENTIRE LIFE. I was waiting for a pedicure and saw a girl who had gotten her eyebrows done. The technician cut a giant bald spot in her eyebrow. I could even see it from where i was sitting, but the lady at the counter kept arguing with her saying she had to pay anyway. Then the lady at the counter said she was a manager, and told another customer about the girl with the eyebrow issue. Super unprofessional. The girl's eyebrow was clearly REALLY messed up, anyone could see it, but she kept arguing trying to make her pay for something that was messed up bad. Best decision ever, the staff is always friendly and has a conversation with you instead of sitting there awkwardly. They offer you a drink and the wait time has NEVER been more than 10 mins. if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. this place is terrible. I walked in with a friend to get three things done, dipped powder nails, polish change on toes, and eyebrow waxing. AKA I was spending a LOT of money. My friend was also getting a dipped powder job on her nails. We check in and are pretty much seated right away. The man doing my friend's nails is very nice and does a good job. I sat and waited for about 45 minutes in the nail chair beside my friend, thinking someone was coming to do my nails any minute. I notice that they are helping other customers who are doing the same thing I did, walking in, checking in what they want done. I am thinking at this point, "why am I not being helped?". They continue to help at least 3 other girls that have simple walk ins. I feel as though they could have at least done my eyebrows or something in the mean time while waiting on a nail hygienist... but they don't. One of their employees was looking at her phone. I own businesses and I would never leave a customer waiting near as long as I did, much less completely ignore them and stay on the phone, break or not. After another 10 minutes and my friend's nail job being completely over, they tell me to get out of my current chair to get in another. I go to the other just to sit there for another 5 minutes and am told that the woman that is supposed to do my nails cannot because she has an "appointment". At this point I am fed up, keep in mind they were not busy at all being that it is a Tuesday at 3:00. They also never once told me while checking in that they had prior made appointments. I am told that I must wait another few minutes, wasting a whole hour at this point with none of my waxing or nails have even been started. I leave the establishment disappointed to have wasted an hour of my day in a place who does not prioritize their customers, especially those coming in to spend easily over $100. They called me 4 hours later saying they would offer me 15% off on my next visit, but that simply is not worth the time it takes to even get there.
