    Front gate of the park.

The small dog gate area is smaller than other dog parks but has cute lil props and stuff. Very clean area but not much for the small dogs to run around compared to the big dog area side.

This place was SO cute and very clean. My older dog (who is 13 and about 26lbs) went into the TIny Tails area all by herself until a few pups showed up. I didn't see any poop in the grass - it all seemed very well cared for and I appreciated the shady area. The space seemed big enough to me! Definitely large enough for dogs to run around in with enthusiasm.

So happy to find this place for my Nori to explore. There are 2 separate areas- one recommended for 30lbs and over and one for under 30lbs. Both areas have- - ample space for running around - seating for the parents to supervise - water fountains (human and dogs all in one) - poop bags - trash cans - obstacle course pieces for fun! - grass The big dog area is a bit more spacious with a big sand/dirt area and lots of grass for them to run around in! 4/1/2021 - the grass is blocked off for the big dog area but there is still big space in the dirt and obstacle course area for zoomies! Parking - there is a lot in front but also a short distance from the community center park and parking lots! So ample space if none by the dog park. It's so close to playgrounds for all the families as well so this is a great area to come and enjoy! I can't wait to meet the other corgis!

I love to take my babies here early in the morning when it's a bit empty. It's a great spot for them to run around and meet new friends. I really like that this dog park has grass because I've been to many dog parks and a lot of them have wood chips or dirt which they hate so it's nice to have a dog park that has grass. The one down side is that there are some owners that do not pick up after their babies which is upsetting bc I have stepped in a fair share of waste but other than that it's a great place and fairly clean.

Great park overall But be aware of this person she owns a brindle pitbull super Aggressive. Her dog attacked my 4month pup and didn't even ask if he was okay just ran to her car when confronted you could tell she was not a stable person! She claimed to be a minor and that her dog don't like to play with dogs.. how in the world does that make sense so you a minor with a full grown pitbull that don't like dogs but you have it off leash at a dog park..??!! She tried to make every excuse in the book..Just be AWARE and keep your dogs safe. My puppy will be okay just a couple cuts. This is not the First attack btw her dog has launched at other dogs before!! **not all pitbull are aggressive its all on the owner** this had nothing to do with the breed its just her dog. So glad that there's finally a new dog park closer than the Fremont Central Park Dog Park! Soft opening was supposed to be in March but due to COVID-19, Newbark actually opened late May/early June. I was so happy when they finally opened, the grass was so clean, everything was so nicely taken care of and the park didn't smell like pee/poo yet. They provide trash bags, but no water fountains (taped off) as of right now, for safety reasons. There are benches and tables for the humans to sit at, and separate sides for big/small dogs. Every time I've been there, all the humans I've seen have had masks on, so I'm glad people are taking the necessary precautions. The park seems busiest around 5 PM or later, when owners are done working for the day. Usually not too busy on weekdays before then. If you have a corgi, come join our east bay corgis ;) we meet every Friday around 5 PM!

This place is absolutely amazing! My dog and I don't live in the area and happened to just be passing by, but what a great situation it turned out to be! My dog had such a blast with the other dogs! She loves all the dog structures and fake grass and everyone was so nice! This park has an area for humans and also separate enclosures for small and large dogs. It is also an easy accessible location with lots of parking. I will definitely return and recommend if I'm ever in the area.

I was dying a need to get out of my place as this whole covid thing is driving me nuts. Found this place on yelp! and yes it is opened to the public. Not many people on the small dog side but it was okay to get out of the house for a bit. Plenty of dogs on the large side tho. Highly recommend this place as it was nice and clean! There r some dirt side in the large dog park but not on the small side. It was nice to come out and see so many people tho!

Two separate sides for small and large dogs. My pup enjoyed the small side. I'd go back.

I'm so happy that this dog park was made! They also held the dog Halloween event, which my pups really loved! There's a separate section for big dogs and another for small dogs. It's definitely great how they also always have the poop bags in stock!!

Dirty dog park; lots of poop all over the place. If you don't mind the nastiness, the location and area is nice.

Ask the Community - Newbark Dog Park

Where do we take the test to be able to go to this park? Does my dog take a test first before being allowed to join?

What is a dog license, and is it ok to go here without one but i have the proper vaccinations and they are up to date?

Yes, as long as your dog is up-to-date on his/her vaccinations, you may bring your dog to the dog park. :)

I'd say there was limited seating relative to the size of the space, but I did a lot of walking around rather than sitting anyway. There's also not a lot of shade so if it's a particularly sunny and hot day, it may not be a good place to go. I liked that this park was flat and provided a couple of water fountains, a small dog agility area, several trash cans and different entrance/exits. I would come back!

More than enough space to accommodate all the dogs and their owners. Several water stations around the park. My only gripe is that shade is sparse. If I came back during summer, I'd definitely want to come here at 8am or so. It was my first time taking our pup to a dog park since I've read many horror stories. I'm glad there were no unfortunate incidents today though. Owners seemed really attentive to what their dogs were doing, and only one out of the many dogs there seemed to be somewhat aggressive. It was nice seeing all the dogs sniffing and playing with each other. So much space to run and pee! The astroturf is definitely a plus. Just wish we were closer!

We came here on a Saturday morning in March, and there were a few families, but not crowded. They have a really cute story time that is interspersed with animal feeding. For example, the book was about chickens, so we all walk over to the chicken coupe where we could feed the chickens. Then we go back for more story time, and then walk over to feed the goats. It was entertaining, educational, and a lot of fun, especially with kids. The grounds are nicely maintained, with tree-lined walkways and lots of flowers. There are picnic tables, and a wooden cows with utters that kids (and adults) can learn how to milk a cow. There's also the historical house, which you can tour, but we skipped this because we had a toddler with us. Overall, a nice getaway from the city life for a little bit of country.

My boyfriend and I came here during December so a lot of things were closed like the train and some of the houses, but it was still a very fun visit to go to! Lots of docents around to answer questions and they were still black smithing when we were there too. Apparently, there's a community blacksmithing club or classes and they sell the wares that they make there too. Neat! Lots of chickens and roosters walking around which is cute. Some turkeys were huddled on some hay. You can see all of the tractors historically used on the farm, as well as the rocking chairs, other tools used on the farm (butter churner), and you can read the signs and learn about the history of all of the various buildings there too. Lots of photo opportunities as well. Cute gazebo is own the property too. They have some cats wandering around too. A bit skittish, but cute. And a cow on the field too. We got to see some bunnies in the bunny house. Fun for kids, fun for me who loves animals!

There's a large free lot off Old Canyon Road with a not so great porta potty but pretty straightforward access to the trail. It's all paved and fairly wide but has sections that have seem better days with some rough sections, bumps and potholes. Still, it's a mostly pleasant ride as you're riding along the creek the entire way. The first section has some nice views of the winter green hills and even the Niles hillside sign in the distance. For some sections you'll be parallel to a busy road as well as some housing developments but once you get closer to Coyote Hills regional park, the scenery vastly improves. You actually intersect with the Bayview trail at Coyote Hills, so can take a detour around the park if you want more miles. However, I just followed the creek trail until it ends with some picnic benches at the bay. Overall, a fun trail that's mostly flat with a few short inclines each time you go under one of the roadside overpasses. I liked that you didn't have to wait at any busy intersections since the trail is continuous and easy to follow. I got to see some deer, herons, egrets, lots of geese and other shorebirds closer to the bay. The trail wasn't too crowded on a Saturday. Overall, I'm glad I checked it out and may come back again.

It's neat that they have bird houses on some of the trees too and we got to see some ground squirrels. I think the prehistoric themed playground is super nice too. I LOVE themed things so the little saber tooth structure from the distance was quite nice. Along the lake are some "work out equipment" like a pull up bar and parallel bars.
