I love this for young kids and proximity to public library. It has biking lanes and adequate parking spots .

Was looking to take my 11 month old somewhere. He walks but not for long distances. This is the perfect place to take your baby or little one. He was able to cruise along things and walk to each object. There was sand and sand toys for him to play with and plenty of shade. Spent around 45 minutes here. read more

One of the more creative parks locally, there are big striped balls and uneven hilly terrain for cool pictures but unfortunately very little play value for kids. Still appreciate the attempt at something different than copy-and-paste parks. Unique things kids enjoy on top of the expected swings, sand pit, etc... -the slide and the hill and pathway going to it. -climbing and walking down the astroturf green hill with an umbrella -the spinning cone thing -connected to multiple paths to central park so cool for scootering and bicycling kids It is one of the better parks so there are always people here, I used to love coming here for kids to meet other kids but w/ covid best come early or late to avoid crowds. read more

This park is relatively small compare to other parks in the neighborhood. However, if you are looking for sand box for little kids, this is the best spot. It's under a big canopy! My daughter who's 4 can easily spend two hours here playing with sand. There are plenty seating areas around the sandbox and they are also under the shade. read more

This is one of the best parks in Fremont area for toddlers - especially if they like to run around a lot. This is located in the Central Park at Lake Elizabeth near the new soccer fields right off of Stevenson Blvd. This was funded by the Always dream foundation - thus the name. It provides play areas for children of varying abilities to develop mentally and physically through diverse play experiences. Best part is, it accommodate children with disabilities and able-bodied children alike. This is more for small kids, won't be many big kids around. There are swings, picnic tables, big cemented balls and a merry go round like pyramid which kids enjoy a lot. It also features water play equipment, a sand pits and steel drums. The ground is made of soft cushy material; kids will be safe even if they fall down. One drawback of the layout is that you may not see the whole park the spot parents normally sit. It has small hills like areas, hard to see the other side. So I recommend supervising the kids if they really like to run around the park all the time. Parking? Not an issue. Plenty, even if you don't find one right in front of the park, you can find one near the playing field (soccer or baseball). Bathrooms are near by - and there was some renovation happening when I last visited. Like I said, this is more for toddlers. Not recommended for big kids. Hopefully this is helpful! read more

Stopped by here after a doctor's appointment and to be honest was a bit disappointed with the actual play structure (or lack thereof) for the kids! It seemed like a brand new facility from the street and we were pumped to stop by, but there is literally one slide, a sand pit, some swings, and a climbing structure that spins (that part was really cool, but someone has to stay there turning it and this didn't take away from what it was lacking). You can tell a good amount of money was put into this place, which is why I thought it'd be one of those super cool and modern playgrounds. The ground is a super nice, cushy, and soft material which is great. It is extremely clean. There's a lot of cool toys to play with in the sand area. There's also a LOT of nice grass with tons of picnic tables if you wanted to hold a party there or something. Also a huge parking lot which makes it convenient. Just not much of an area to play and when you hear of a "play park" you think it'd be jam packed with options. read more

We love this park , once we were daily visitors since we lived right across the street. It's well maintained and clean. My son loves the sand play area. He loves the ball cement structures too. The park is small but for me that's good so that I can control my super active toddler. They used to have big swings where you can sit along with ur chid but I no longer see them. They have swings for big kids as well as for little ones. Slide and a little tunnel under it , grass area with a slope where kids can roll over or slide down. Merry go round like structure which most of the kids love. They have few benches for picnic. Evenings the park gets crowded sometimes. read more

Contains a Dangerous sand area that spills over to surrounding hill area to run, this is extra bad considering it should be all inclusive for special needs . The adaptive swing is big and heavy . Here I am in the 'burbs. We have hills and green grass and strip malls and chirping birds and FREE parking. I live a mere 2 blocks from BART and there is a family farm across the street from our home. I find that I drive everywhere now, as opposed to walking and taking the bus. A far cry from my idealistic days of SF city living. Again, here I am in the 'burbs. I am married with a baby and a cat. But I don't mean to imply that any of that is bad, mind you. It actually kind of rocks. In addition to all of the aforementioned, let me mention that we happen to live 2 big, giant, suburban blocks away from the Always Dream Play Park over at Lake Elizabeth/Central Park, a lovely new contribution from hometown Olympian, Kristi Yamaguchi's foundation of the same name. It's the perfect walk from our place (we opt for the stroller in lieu of the SUV) and the layout is perfect for babies and toddlers, as well as older kids. The little one and I (and the baby-nanny) have logged many hours since it's opening January 2010. The J-man cruises around on padded ground, giggles and chats on baby swings, and discovered total confusion over sand on his feet in the sand box. (Fortunately, there's a nice little fountain we could dangle his feet into to remove the weird new stuff from his little toes.) He's even had some fun socializing with other cruisers and crawlers. In addition to the baby stuff, there are bigger swings, a cool merry-go-round, and a slide fit for bigger kids. The only down side that I've experienced has been the bigger kids carelessly tromping through the area designated for babies, so beware of leaping grade & middle schoolers, especially on holidays and weekends. Another downside is random Cheerio's on the ground. Funny how something so seemingly benign could make a sunny day in the park meltdown city! The J-man was denied his find of his new fave snack and his newest emotion, the mega-tantrum, was unleashed. Ahhh, nothing like a day in the park. :) read more

Good park. It has lots of shade, which is a huge plus. There is a sand box (shaded) and a water spout the kids can activate. The park has bathrooms, though they are not located very close to this play area. There is a small hill the kids can climb which has shade and a mister on top. My only complaint is that there are several ways, such as behind the hill, where your children can get out of sight. This is problematic if you have more than one small child with you. read more

I thought so. So before you smack talk about how your playground is better than mine you better check yo-self. Nothing can beat this all around fun place. You got a sand pit? So what, I got one with a water spout attached that elegantly funnels water out so kids can make wet sand for sand castles. You got swings? So what, I got three different kinds - regular ones for older kids, bucket ones for the little ones, and seated ones for the lazy kids. I even have two seated bucket thingies that spin around when kids sit in them. Ha. You got shade? So what? I got umbrellas over picnic tables AND two misters that are button operated. Who the heck needs trees? Not me. I live in suburbia. You got parking? So what? I got lots of parking next to baseball diamonds, green fields for soccer and lots of paths to stroll along with my dog after some playtime at the park. What? Got nothing to say? That's right- you go back to your park and think about what you just insinuated. The parents here are friendly and bring kids' toys to share. So take your measly pail and shovel and come back when you can show some respect to Kristi Yamaguchi. read more

For parks, this pleasantly surpassed my expectations. If you think of Lake Elizabeth, the first thing one may think about is all the geese poop. Avoiding geese poop in Lake Elizabeth is like avoiding sand at the beach. It's nearly impossible. Thinking of wearing those flip flops on a sunny day to Lake Elizabeth? Better think twice before you have wads of geese poop stuck in your toes. I've been to Lake Elizabeth for years for baby showers, children's birthday parties, and just because. However, this was the first time I've been near the Always Dream Play Park, and I can say, it gives me a whole new outlook on having a party at Lake Elizabeth. I mean, where is the geese poop?! Not that I looked hard, but luckily, there was not much in the area. It felt like a nice clean park, and sitting on the grass without worrying about where my hands were sinking into. The restrooms were super close to the park, and parking was ample in the area. If you're heading in on a weekend, and looking for a picnic spot, be sure to reserve it ahead of time. It was super crowded with small picnics taking place everywhere. If you're looking for a large open field to play, this is your spot. If you're going to bring your dog make sure to have them all on leash. The dog park is right around the corner, but this area brings in a boat load of dogs, of all sizes. So be weary and keep an eye out for that one off leash dog that happens everywhere. All in all, definitely the spot to be in Lake Elizabeth. You even get a small canopy cover over your picnic area. And no geese poop? WIN! read more

I'd give this place 4 stars just 'cause the sand box was c-l-e-a-n! A hard thing to find! I found out about this park though the costco connection magazine...my eldest daughter has special needs and understood that this was a great park to accommodate that. I found it really great for her. Not a lot of steps and rocks, but a lot of nice grades and a super AstroTurf hill that is great for rolling down. The park has three kinds of swings: two toddler swings, 2 regular swings, and two of the chair type. One slide with a long ramp leading up to it and a tunnel underneath. A two level "merry-go-round." Two bucket seats that spin around and that big sand box. Like some other people said it gets busy! We were there around noon and had to wait a long time for the swings. It's a definite recommendation for those who have toddlers and children with special needs. My kids had a blast...and again - did I mention the sand box that didn't have a bunch of crap in it?? read more

This little hidden park is so cute and awesome! One of my son's favorite little playground in Fremont. There are not many big kids so the park is little kid friendly. There's a little sand box, a fee swings, some big cemented balls, and a pretty tall netted coned merry go round. The merry go round is the biggest attraction and all the kids enjoy playing on it. Parts of the playground is padded so even when the kids fall, their knees are ok. I highly suggest this park to all little kids. read more

Always Dream is a great park for new walkers and toddlers. We stay away during the weekends and late afternoons when it becomes overrun with bigger children, who knock the little ones around. We love to come here early in the morning, and usually have the place mostly to ourselves until around 10 am, when the other moms/nannies show up with their toddlers. There is a big, semi-enclosed sand area, which has running water in the warmer weather. There is a ramp going up to the slide, a tunnel under this ramp, several shaded areas with tables and benches, some big kid swings, chair swings, and baby swings, a hill with a water mister (in warmer weather) at the top, 3 drums for music, 2 twirly/dizzy things, and a rope-enclosed merry-go-round type thing. There are some small hills and cement balls with texture for exploring. The ground is rubber, cement, and fake grass. Our children really love this park. Two wishes: One is that I wish it was enclosed. For a space that's supposed to be designed for small children and children with disabilities, it would allow the parents to relax a bit more if you knew your child couldn't escape into the close (free) parking lot or big fields. With a 1 and 2 year old, both running, an enclosed area gives me a minute to get one strapped down in the stroller if the other makes a break for it. Also, even though it's not that big of an area, because of design of the park it's hard to see all parts of this playground from any given spot making it more difficult to keep an eye on more than one child. My second wish is that the bathrooms are a little closer. They aren't that far, but again, this park was designed for toddlers and special needs kids, who give you about a 30 second warning that they have to use the bathroom. read more

Like many of the Yelpers have said, avoid this park on the busy, peak hours - weekends and afternoons. It's a little chaotic. We've come here twice and although it's a newer park with padded grounds, hills, a small sandbox, there is only one slide and 2 toddler swings. The slide can get overrun with the bigger kids. My little one loves running around this area, however, she does get bummed out when the swings are constantly preoccupied. I would say this park is great if you can come during the non-peak hours. read more

I really like this park. It's a great size for toddlers, but definitely too small for older kids. One of the biggest issues I have with older kids here is the spinning pyramid. Older kids love to spin this thing as fast as they can, so if younger kids are on it or nearby, it can get very dangerous. So if your little one is as attracted to spinny things as much as mine is, then I don't recommend staying here for long if there are older kids running about. There are also swings and a sand pit. My son likes to go down the slide. Another issue I have with this park is you can't see the entire park in one spot because there are little hills and valleys, so you definitely have to follow your kid around unless you trust them to behave (which they almost never do unsupervised) or allow them to exhibit bad behavior, which sets a bad example for younger kids. All in all, on a nice day when it isn't too crowded, this is a great option for toddlers and even crawlers. There are plenty of benches and even tables if you want to have a small picnic and make an afternoon out of it. It looks like they recently renovated the area around the park and added more picnic benches and even some BBQ pits. Restrooms are kind of a walk away, but there's plenty of parking and the lot is close to the park. read more

Found this park while thinking about going to the lake nearby. My 2 boys needed to stretch their legs and I wanted them to play. This park is ideal for small kids. There is a slide, a lot of rubber grounding and rubber hills. Small sand box and a few swings. Grass is maintained well, bathroom nearby, tons of benches for eating/picnic. Sport fields are also near as well. We were there when it wasn't as busy and it was a nice afternoon cap off. Tons of parking. read more

My in-laws live 10 minutes from this park so we often stop by on our way to visit them. My 5 year old loves the swings (including the one for children with special needs that is like a big plastic chair) and the rotating rope "merry-go-round" but she doesn't climb up on the rope structure. My 2 year old enjoys the slide and climbing the round concrete balls. I like that my 2 year old won't get tanbark in her shoes and doesn't skin her knees when she falls here because of the solid foam-like surfaces. My only complaints are inter-related: the crowds of people and the resulting maintenance issues (as the park seems to not be as well-maintained as I thought it would be). Its popularity means that they really should check on it more frequently. I have seen orange cones out on several visits, so they recognize there's a problem but just haven't fixed it. That time it was a spinning egg cup that was removed so an orange cone was near the hole in the ground. The sand part also looks a bit gross and I never let my kids play there. Even when I tried to go at weird times like Monday at 10 am before a dental appt, there are still huge crowds. read more

We love this park. It's terrific for the little kids who would get overlooked or trampled at the big kid park. There are only two infant swings but the wait is never too long. There are a handful of regular swings, a slide, and a sand lot as well. It's part of the larger Central Park and Lake Elizabeth area so there is a ton for the whole family to do. It gets CRAZY busy in the afternoons which can be a good (meet other parents and socialize the kiddos) or a bad (you'll never get your babe on a swing! EVAR) thing. My niece celebrated her birthday here on one of the hottest days of the year. There was shade near our picnic area but the kids had to be careful about the rising temperatures which rendered the swings and slides too hot for little legs and arms. If you have a toddler in your life, this park is the proverbial 'bomb!' It's got a lot of different play options in one surprisingly small area! There's a water fountain with the switch a few feet away. The little kids enjoy figuring it out. There's sand to play in, a bridge, several spinning things, swings, and more! I recommend it, with one important caveat: DO NOT come here during peak play hours, if you don't like crowds. This place gets packed. I actually had the most fun with a toddler at this little park on a rainy Sunday morning, when there was nobody else there. (The sun umbrellas work pretty well in rain, too!) You can say what you like about suburban isolation, but we have some nice parks for kids in Fremont! read more

I've been here twice. The first time I was here, this place was packed! The playground was full of kids and there were no parking spaces left. We ended up leaving in less than 5 minutes. The second time I was here was yesterday. When we arrived around 12pm, there were a few kids, no more than 10. Parking spaces were plentiful and the place was clean. We actually didn't stay for long, about 10 minutes. We were here for a birthday party but the hosts gave us incorrect information and my husband was walking around this area to locate the party. If this area becomes full, there's another one on the other side of the lake. read more

I really love this park. It's a great place for Toddlers. I have a 14month old son and he loves climbing the little hills that are made of that soft turf and fake grass. He loves just walking around and getting a view of things. There is a sandbox with a water fountain. There is also a few swings. If you go when it's busy, the swings are probably not open. If you go early in the day when most kids are at school, the park is pretty open. But when 3:30 and after hits, you are definitely amongst many many kids and parents. I have gone once on the weekend and it was so busy, I wanted to just get back in my car and leave. I docked it one star because there are always lots of kids and the parents usually stay close but it's still hard to get around and the "Sharing" issue is also difficult when parents are watching from a distance. I do love coming here because I have always seen a parent there with their little one that is the same age as mine. It's nice to see a little one year old "interact" with someone else their size. read more

I don't ge this park at all. It's actually very limited once you do certain things. It's always overcrowded. It feels like a bunch of things smashed into a small area. It's ok if you have very small children. However, once the kids ride the little chairs that spin or the giant spinning pyramid, there isn't much more. I think people like it's location and that it's new. The giant pyramid is a bit scary for the younger children because kids of all different ages and sizes ride it and it can go pretty fast. Kids don't fully understand to stop it long enough for the younger kids. Once they are on, it is fun for them. I just feel like it's really limited and crowded. Way crowded all the time!!! read more

Great park for toddlers. It has a cushy ground, a section for sandplay. They have two sets of swings, slide, this great big spinny spider web thing that kids can climb. this structure makes me nervous though. Umbrellas offer shade, picnic tables and lots of grass to set up a picnic. Bathrooms are also available, just a little further out. Overall, I enjoy taking my two girls to this park. read more

Though this park is bit far but still I bring my kid to this park whenever I have chance. Best thing about this park are - Not too big which makes keeping eyes on kids much easier. - Shaded areas which protects from Sun and little Showers. - It has plenty to offer for toddlers from swing/sandarea/slides - Closer to Central Fremont area and library Now some areas which are not that bad but would have been best - Restrooms are far from the playing area. - You will have tough time for finding closer parking during nice sunny day in summer. It's a very well planned and well designed park. The park has those spinning egg cup things, a rope merry go 'round, a slide, swings, a BIG sand box. Large umbrellas with tables. It has floors made from some soft cushy stuff so if your toddler falls he won't get a serious injury. Really appreciate that ! What I really like are the sprinklers that mist you with enough water to cool yourself on hot days. My kiddo loves this park and so do I :) read more

It was a good park for my toddler and my dog. Hard to find a place for both. However, I still wished there were more things to it. Somehow, my dream play park still seemed limited compared to the one in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park's Children's Playground. Although I had high hopes for it, I wonder if there could be more.
