So happy I was referred to this practice! My previous dr left the pain management clinic I went to prior , and I was referred to here , and they treat you like a real human and not a number. Unfortunately, my last practice lied and said they discharged me when I chose on my own to find another practice . I'm so glad that this place did not hold a lie that was told against me . Especially one of such significance. I was destroyed after how I found out the last place talked about me , but here , is a totally different atmosphere. They listen to me and truly want to help me . It's an overall horrible place. 1) You do not know the medication or amount your being prescribed. In all cases it was for 30 days and the next appointment was at least 35 days away 2) instance on preforming procedures that haven't worked in the past (35 of them in the past) . Getting medication is dependent on those procedures. 3) The drug test is in error. They test for the CBD chemical instead of the THC chemical. This was pointed out and i pointed this out and never had another test. 4) high pressure to change med from a low dose sched 4 drug to a high strength sched 2 drug. I had been dependent on those in the past. Never trust anyone in this office. It is a money making buisness ONLY. The patients are the sheep. If I could give a zero star I would I was in a car accident and was going to another pain mgmt in Frederick when that doctor left and I had to find another practice. Short story for now is I found Newbridge. Called and lady said I need to have my medical records sent and get a referral. No problem called immediately my other pain mgmt and they sent it right away. Went to my primary immediately and called in the referral as walking out the Dr office. She then send we will call you when the DR looks at your records and he says you can make appointment. What place does this!! I waited and waited. This was a car accident and I have a legal case which I told her, I am in a lot of pain and off my meds since the last pain mgmt I told her I need to be seen. She tells me even if seen I wouldnt be prescribed meds for two weeks. Are you kidding!! I am in pain and can't this isn't my fault that I don't have a dr. After waiting weeks I called again and she says my file is still on the dr desk. Two more weeks so over a month now she calls to make appointment and next one is in a week. Then she says she mailing the new patient paperwork and if I don't have it filled out the appointment is cancelled. I told her well it has to arrive first to my house. It came at 3:00 the day before my appointment which was at 8 am. Real nice I should have picked it up bc I live just around the corner from the Office. Morning of appointment I filled everything out on the packet. Get called back fairly quickly (good part) and the nurse starts asking for me to tell her everything why I was there. Hmm first I have you paperwork that will tell your that but second where is my file. I told her I am not explaining 7 years of medical stuff. She said they have no medical records on me. I was like are you kidding!! Why hasn't anyone said anything to me and second that is not true bc I know my other pain mgmt sent it (that office is on top of things). She says she will check and leaves. Get told to go to another room. I wait and then dr comes in and says the same thing explain why you are here and he had one piece of paper in front of him. Now I am so mad and I told him. I filled out all this paperwork explaining what's wrong with me!! So you should have read this before coming into the room and then WHERE is my medical file. You had it sitting on your desk supposedly bc a file is multiple papers not a referral!!! He said all he has a referral and why isn't my primary involved. Hmm bc is a car accident the referral is bc it's so long and I'm using my health insurance now so it's just red tape but she not involved with my pain issues. Fast forward a front desk lady says we have nothing from "name of my old pain mgmt." I have papers from Intergal medicine here that's it. I said well who's the patient!! Well lucky lucky it is ME!!! My entire medical file was in her hands but all they care about was a name and which she wouldn't have know n from the start so where was this file the whole time. Oh guess what she says " I only got this the other day" lmao it was sent almost two months ago but even still that was the other day why isn't it in my file and the DR walking in with it. Bad enough the DR has not read it but I had to make a scene for them to find my medical record and they blame it on my old pain mgmt for not sending it!!! This place is incompetent in every way the office staff is incompetent, and the doctor is incompetent if he went and acted the way he did by not apologizing to me bc of his staff, losing my medical record he chose to say it was me. Please do not go to this doctor because if they can't get records right how can they give you proper care. The doctor also doesn't care about his patients because all he kept on saying is I have so many if you have so many, maybe you should cut down and focus on the ones you have and give them proper care. now I have to drive all the way to Montgomery county to go back to my old Pain Mgmt which I was hoping I didn't have to do but I would rather go to a practice I trust with my body. I have been going to Newbridge since 2017. I find they have always been very nice very professional and most helpful. I would recommend them to family and friend and feel that they would be satisfied as well. They have been most accommodating when I was in extreme circumstances and willing to help me out. read more

I had a procedure done and was told to take muscle relaxers for spasms. I said OK I had a few on hand. But after 4 days I was still having severe muscle spasms so I called to get a prescription for a few more. They refused my request and told me to go to my GP to get them. They were the ones who told me to take them. What was this? I have not been a big pain complainer and have gone to that clinic for years. I always wondered why the had a 2/5 rating. I went for 4 separate spinal injection procedures for 3 herniated disks and a pinched nerve in my spine. I never felt any relief and constantly asked if there was anything else I could do to ease my pain such as exercise, stretching etc. The only answer, every time was no! Nothing other than very powerful, addictive painkillers! If you want real pain relief, go somewhere else. If you want a constant flow of pain meds while the staff talks to you like a child, this place is for you read more

I would not recommend this place, very unprofessional. My husband had to take a urine test, I had already been there for 2 hrs. So I asked to use the bathroom, which was the same one my husband had used. Then they made him do a 45 minutes swab test, they told my husband we were in the bathroom together, then they said his urine wasn't registering the right temperature. Very unprofessional! I have been going to Newbridge for several months now and I can't praise them enough. After a serious injury and a broken veteran healthcare system that left me out to dry, I finally found a practice that not only took my health seriously but has jumped through hoops to provide the best care possible. The office staff is extremely helpful, the waiting area is always tidy and clean (and comfortable temperature wise!), and they entire office is extremely caring and accommodating. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality care and a comforting environment! read more

I've been going to this place for over two and a half years. They can't figure out what's causing my pain and they treat you with pain pills. So, you take the medicine and you take a couple more because your pain is high. Don't tell them that? They treat you like your a junkie and the worst person in the world. Yet they say we don't want you to be in pain. Another thing, don't let your meds accidentally fall into the toilet because the "DEA" monitors your pills falling into the toilet. I've never heard more B.S. coming from a bulls ass. I have two stars because Dr. Ghauri who was originally in the Leesburg location was compassionate about his job and patients. The other doctors just treat you like a junkie and that's my opinion. read more

Unfortunately, I have been to Newbridge twice now. I have good insurance but have been billed over $500 out of pocket for one visit with Dr. John which was short, curt, and unpleasant; and another with Dr. Carlton. The visit with Dr. Carlton Mclellan was to read an MRI to try to discern why I have had constant back pain for months. He had ordered a no contrast MRI (which don't tend to show underlying causes unless they are broken bones or tumors). He did not even LOOK at the MRI in his office and said based on what the imaging location had said there was nothing wrong with me. Yet my back pain has been debilitating and I can no longer lift anything more than 25-30lbs reliably, can't sit for long periods of time, can't stand for long periods, and have not been able to work as a result. I explained all of this and added I did not wish to take any opioids, but wanted to discern WHY the pain was happening. He basically shrugged it off as hysteria and wrote a recommendation for physical therapy rather than helping to investigate the cause of the pain, which is why I went to see them in the first place. I am no closer to understanding why I no longer live without pain, but between them and their recommendation for physical therapy to treat what they believe doesn't exist, I AM out about $1500. My father recently injured his back and went to Newbridge for treatment. I have gone with my parents both times for an epidural cortisone injection. The first time was the day after an mri was done. The doctor did not meet with us at all to review his results. He was just taken by the nurse for his procedure and sent home. Prior to the second shot, my mother requested we be able to speak to the doctor to review the mri. On the day of his second injection we were told the doctor was too busy to talk to us. This in my opinion is a horrible way to do treat elderly patients who just want the pain to go away. We still do not have a diagnosis and do not know the exact cause of his pain. I have been to other offices for my own back pain and have always had detailed conversations with the doctors who showed me what the problem areas were. read more

I had the misfortune of a consultation as a new patient with Dr. Singhvi recently. I encountered a cold and arrogant physician who ordered me about in abrupt and clipped tones during his examination which was quite unnerving. After reviewing only the last few visits office notes from my physician, and little to no discussion regarding my documented diagnosis's, it was evident he had labeled me nothing more than a pill seeker. His recommendation was that I elect to have surgery while substantially reducing my medications. I've been diagnosed at The Hospital at The University of Pennsylvania after numerous MRI's and tests with the conclusion that I am not a viable candidate for surgery. My multiple diagnosis's range from scoliosis, spinal stenosis, majority of my cervical, lumbar and sacral discs herniated and bulging, Fibromyalgia and Ankylosing Spondylitis. This was confirmed by two second opinions. Why would I question the opinions of U of P and Harvard physicians considered top in their fields? I have had multiple epidural injections, radio frequency ablations and synvisc injections with mild to moderate success and my medications were carefully chosen and prescribed to provide some quality of life and relief while continuing the injections and RFA's. I was given the tools that gave me some semblance of a life again. While the opiate crisis is certainly a very critical issue that requires effective and timely resolution; the CDC in its own guidelines clearly states that chronic pain patients deserve safe and effective pain relief and should be treated case by case. These are guidelines, not the law. There is a substantial difference. In later publications there was concern regarding doctors who stopped writing opiate prescriptions entirely for fear of scrutiny by the DEA. These guidelines were specifically directed at family physicians and general practitioners who alone are responsible for more than half the opiate prescriptions written annually in the United States. I am a new resident to Frederick. This was my first foray into the medical community. From the onset I felt disrespected and unheard. I suspect I was identified as pill seeking before the doctor entered the room and without any review of my past medical testing. This was disheartening to say the least. Let's hope it's not representative of what I'll encounter in this area in the future! read more

As far as the other review on this page, I'm not sure who they are talking about. The office is lovely and clean and they have many docs there who can see you. As a new patient I got in the next day. I had a very nice, and through visit with Dr. Shaikh and he explained a lot to me and told me what was causing my pain. I feel very trusting of him to do my back injections in a few weeks. There are some sketchy looking people in that office but none of them are people who work there. I am so glad my doctor refferred me to this office. read more

I do not know what the other reviewers are talking about. This is a great place with caring staff and Doctors. Their goal is for you to not need pain medicine. So if you are a drug seeker, this is not the place for you. If you want real pain relief, and not to be tied to a Narcotic Pill bottle; this is where you want to be. I have achieved positive results through cortisone injections and a Facet Nerve block. I have had one side done and will have the other side done in a week. I am starting to get my life back. This place is a joke. I just called to try to schedule an appt for Trigeminal Neuralgia that is caused by an autoimmune disease and because I split my time between MD and NY, but own a house in MD, they wouldn't schedule an appt even after I told them they could call my pain mgmt doctor in NY and my Neurologist who is at GUH and has been my Neurologist for 10 years. They then insinuated that the issue is because of needing to check for drugs I'm prescribed. I don't take drugs! I get SPG blocks and Trigger Points Injections. This is even after I explained to them that I haven't been able to get to NY because of a car accident in July that caused multiple cervical and lumbar herniated discs. And I'm not taking drugs for the pain from them either! These people clearly have no clue about pain management when they insinuate that a person who is in chronic debilitating pain is fishing for drugs; they have no clue that drugs are not always the answer and drugs! do not work for Trigeminal Neuralgia. The entire reason I moved back to NY and now split my time between MD and NY is because of fly by night 'pain management' clinics like this; they have no idea how to treat pain. Push a drug or give steroids... that's all they know how to do. If you have a need for pain management doctor, steer clear of this place...unless of course you're looking for drugs, because that seems to be what they favor. read more

I've always thought about respect as common decency, and the right thing to do. This establishment has a complete lack of respect, compassion, care and empathy. The obligation of treating me, as a patient, attentively and conscientiously was missing. Nurse Kristi refused to listen to me and raised her voice aggressively to make her point the only point. When I tried to explained my concern about my condition she shut me down. I left the clinic experiencing anger, shame, confusion, uncertainty, depression and of course crying in distress. Nobody, not her, neither any of the staff cared. I hope this review helps someone. read more

I have been a patient at Newbridge for years, first at the Leesburg office and now the Frederick office since I moved. They were highly recommended to me by a well-respected anesthesiologist/pain management doctor who has treated me in-hospital many times. I have severe, advanced stage IV endometriosis. Between the disease and the many brutal surgeries for it, it has taken a severe toll on my whole body, especially my nerves. I also have interstitial cystitis, fibromyalgia and either lupus or myalgic encephalomyelitis (still undergoing testing to figure out which), all stemming from endometriosis and damage to my nerves from the disease and surgery for it. I went from an active, healthy life, traveling, working out daily, parasailing, snorkeling, etc. to bedridden most days. Newbridge has been there for me through it all & has helped me cope tremendously by alleviating my pain through both medication & nerve blocks, as well as a spinal cord stimulator. My conditions are not curable, but Newbridge works closely with me to give me back as much of my life as possible. I can't even begin to imagine how intolerable my pain would be without their help. They are my heroes! I mainly see Carlton, but all of the doctors, assistants & staff are kind, compassionate and like family to me now. I would be lost without them! I have had 2 genicular nerve blocks and 2 genicular nerve ablations. the procedure takes very little time. there is a little discomfort in the needle placement, but nothing after that. the entire staff is very courteous and helpful. Dr. Sanghvi is very personable and friendly and will answer any and all questions you may have about the procedure. would recommend this procedure to anyone who wants to avoid surgery and get back to pain free exercise and golf like I have. read more

To anybody who may be reading this, do yourself a favor and find a different pain management clinic. The doctors that work there are extremely lazy and just hand you a prescription for drugs and they don't seem to care about your medical condition and just want to get rid of you as fast as possible. Be sure to specifically ask about Facility Charges because they aren't going to bring it up. Get ready for a HUGE addition to your bill by them after your injection services. I learned about 2 Facility Charges at the same time well after my injections were done. Both charges were for $1390.00 and 99% of insurance providers do not cover this scam charge so it's all out of pocket. I specifically asked them about charges and I was told my portion would be $250.00 for each injection. There was never a mention of this charge even after asking "so that's it's correct, this is what I will be billed out of pocket". After I got this bill and asked them about it they said in the contract it says other charges may apply and if I didn't want to pay a Facility Charge I should have asked about those charges specifically. How would anyone that knows nothing about this scam charge know to ask about it by name I asked? They replied with "well... you signed the paperwork". I understand the need for them to bill for things but don't make a point to hide charges from your customers. This place is dishonest and purposefully leaves out the details on hidden cost. As if anesthesiologist don't make enough money without having to rely on scams like this to take advantage of patients. I will NEVER go back to them and have reported Newbridge to the Maryland Board of Physicians & the MD Attorney Generals office. I have enough spine problems to deal with on my own without my doctor's office taking advantage when coming to them for care. Nice way to treat your customers! read more
