This review is late (our wedding was in September 2013), but better late than never! :)…read more Newcastle Wedding Gardens is an absolutely gorgeous venue to hold a wedding ceremony and reception. My husband and I knew we had to get married here the first time we laid eyes on it. This is a former horse ranch that has been beautifully renovated and landscaped by Georgia and Stephen Barron (the owners of the venue which is also their home). Georgia was a former wedding planner and knows all things wedding-related. She is extremely organized, meticulous, and helpful in making sure that your wedding here is planned to perfection. She made everything so easy and stress-free for us as we got to plan off of a preferred vendors list to choose everything from the florist, DJ, officiant, etc. Don't fret though, these "preferred" vendors offer great discounts because they've worked with Newcastle Wedding Gardens before, which makes things very reassuring. About the ceremony and receptions sites--the ceremony is usually held in the garden area that is completely shaded with a beautiful arbor/trellis structure that serves as the altar. The reception is held in the magnificent red horse barn with AC, a bar, glossy floors and a lovely rustic feel. The barn doors also open in the evening so your reception is sort of outside and inside simultaneously. The venue provides tables, table cloths, china, chiavari chairs, etc. so you pretty much don't have to rent any extra equipment unless you want specific items like turquoise table linens which you can rent from the venue for an extra fee. They also will set up and take down everything for you. Oh and they have a photobooth (extra, but reasonable rental fee for 2-3hrs)! I can go on and on. This wedding venue is truly a gem! If you are looking for a wedding venue for both your ceremony and reception, look no further than Newcastle Wedding Gardens! They offer tours by appointment--just contact Georgia. You won't be disappointed! :) :) :)

Love this place I was brought here for some local family and we loved it…read more It was very cool as you drove in off the road street and had the very cool vibe All the workers servers and service was amazing from when you walk up. Then we had drinks that are on point and ordered some good choices of food We got the grilled cheese with tritip and the charcuterie pretzel with if course amazing beers cheese . OMG So bomb . We sat at cool little table listen to live music and chilled out The grilled cheese was something else with the meet and. Cheeses perfectly proportioned evenly and the Pretzel was huge we brought it home . I will be back

Great beer and a beautiful establishment. Always loved this place, it was always fun and friendly…read more That's what makes this feedback so disappointing to write. Unfortunately, a couple of negative interactions with staff these past couple weekends have overshadowed what should be a great experience (we came twice and brought friends whom have never been before both times). On the two separate visits, I encountered employees (2) who were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and uninterested in customer service. On my most recent visit, one bartender was noticeably rude to me on more than one occasion during the same visit, so it didn't feel like a misunderstanding or an isolated moment. Later, I asked who the manager was because I had a question about the air bnb and was directed to another girl who appeared inconvenienced and offered no greeting or assistance. Even a simple "Can I help you with something?" would have gone a long way. I assumed the less-than-warm service might have been due to the crowds and busy environment, but after experiencing the same thing again on our next visit, it feels more like a personal issue than a one-off bad day. It's unfortunate because the property is beautiful, the beer is good, and this brewery has so much going for it. We bragged about this place to our friends and then felt embarrassed after we got the eye-roll treatment. With so many great breweries to choose from, friendly customer service matters. A smile, a greeting, and basic courtesy aren't a big ask, but they make a huge difference in whether customers decide to come back.

Had the place to ourselves in Late July on a Thursday…read more Beautiful views everywhere you look, including the train tracks. Bed & linens exceeded expectation. Extremely clean. Location would be great for Receptions or large family getaways, especially if you can occupy all the rooms. No real 'food' or 'drink' amenities, so bring your own. I will note, the kitchen is spacious with modern appliances. The wife & I had a great stay. I suggest searching BOOKING.com for a reservation.

Where do I start...ok,...the bed was beyond comfortable... we just didn't want to get up…read more We called direct for our reservation, which I would highly recommend as the online booking was a bit confusing. The photos and room description was different depending on what site you looked at. There is a steep staircase to get up to the upper rooms so if stairs are an issue, book one of the downstairs rooms We had the Stafford suite and it was amazing. Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. The owners are very prompt to reply if you have questions and check in was a breeze! We will most definitely be back!
