The venue is tucked away behind the cafe and the winery. They have a farmhouse inn that is perfect for family groups, with a great breakfast. The cabins are also awesome with all the amenities and lots of room. The barn dinner/dancing space is beautiful, surrounded by trees and a citrus grove. I had an opportunity to work with the staff and everyone was professional and plugged in. They really provide a seamless operation for any kind of event. I've done convention and event planning for a number of years and this Is one of my favorite venues. read more

Pros: Quiet and cozy cottage with plenty of blankets and pillows. They upgraded us to a larger cottage for a free! I liked that the room did not have a TV, so we could unplug and have quality time together. The huge soaking tub was just what we needed at the end of the day. Beautiful boutique farm with lots of lovely citrus and other fruit trees and green plants all over--even in February! This was a perfect location for our daughter's wedding reception, which we held indoors in the reception hall. The staff was easy to work with very accommodating, especially when we ended up losing something after the reception--they combed the grounds and even searched the garbage bins for us--definitely going above and beyond! Not only are the grounds charming, they make sure to completely book all the cottages along with the hall for you and your wedding party to use on the day/evening of your event so there's no other events happening. The cottages and rooms are beautifully decorated and breakfast is served to the guests the next day. Love the Flower Farm and Inn!!! read more

I can't speak highly enough about the Flower Farm Inn as a venue for our wedding. Fran, Sarah, and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. My husband and I were originally supposed to get married last year. Obviously our wedding did not happen at the Flower Farm in 2020. Fran was absolutely great about talking us through our options, and we were able to reschedule for the following year. We heard horror stories about other venues not working with wedding couples, and were extremely thankful we did not have that problem. This past November, my husband and I were finally able to celebrate with our friends and family. Again, the staff was amazing and our guests had a blast. Our wedding was perfect! We chose Flower Farm because it was the right amount of rustic without overdoing it. The grounds are so beautiful and the cottages are to die for! We really wanted somewhere that was accessible, beautiful, and had places for guests to stay that is affordable. This checked all of our boxes! Right after booking, I sent a VERY long email with a TON of questions and they responded in a timely manner answering every. single. one. We went to our nephew's wedding this last weekend (and both the wedding and the reception were held here) I cannot speak to the prices of anything, but instead as a guest at a wedding. Everything was set up beautifully, I know our nephew brought some things in -- but what the Flower Farm provided was lovely - the wedding area was beautiful under a big tree that provided shade for the large-now combined-family. Everything was decorated tastefully. During the wedding the wedding party (and eventually the beautiful bride) came through an old (what looked like a) church door. There was an arch where they met the pastor. The facilities I saw (the garden area and reception hall) were immaculate including the ladies restroom. (There was even a basket with incidentals in the bathroom that were thoughtful to have out) The reception hall was set up nice with round tables, the wedding party at a long table and an open space for dancing. The natural background, the chickens, the garden surrounding were a nice touch. One rooster was chiming in with his approval as they said their vows, but I'm a country girl myself so it brought a smile to my face. Parking was close (at least where we parked) and there were quite a few spots near and adequate parking, but if you had elder family members etc you might want to prepare ahead of time so they could be closer etc. Employees that I saw serving, clearing etc all were pleasant and efficient, the few I talked to were very nice. Again, I cannot comment on prices, but as a guest the venue was beautiful - I hope our nephew and new niece found it lovely as well. read more

I'm torn about whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. We've been going to the Flower Farm Cafe for years, but this was our first time staying in the Inn. It was my husband, myself, and my daughter, looking for a little local "staycation" during COVID times. We booked the "Climbing Rose" room. The furniture is beautiful. The place is clean. The smell of flowers is fragrant. Overall, it was a decent time. The "Climbing Rose" room is advertised as "sleeps 3 people". It has a king bed and a pull out sofa. The moment we tried out the sleeper sofa, you could feel springs pop up from the mattress and poke all over our back. My daughter couldn't sleep there, so we tried it and we just couldn't lay on it beyond a few minutes. It was in bad shape. So we all slept in the king bed together, which was a challenge. The next morning, upon checkout, I mentioned this to the woman at checkout. I got a cursory "Oh, I'm sorry. I'll have someone take a look at that. Here's your receipt....". If we had some offer of even slight compensation, I'd have given this higher stars despite the mattress. But when one books a place for a certain number of people, bed comfort is EVERYTHING. An uncomfortable night for 3 people warrants this review. We paid for a room that says "This antique filled cottage has a  large, round spa tub with a rain shower, as well as a luxurious king bed.   A loveseat, which converts into a twin bed, makes this a perfect room for three." Side note - I would recommend at least getting a microwave and mini-fridge in the rooms or something. After all, if people are staying in the inn, and the cafe closes at 3:30pm, it might open things up for people who are bringing snacks in the evening and so on. And there were 2 large dressers, a tall bureau, and an area under the sink, so there is room to accommodate those options. We will absolutely be returning to the Flower Farm Cafe, just as we have for several years, we just won't stay overnight at the Inn. I post this review so that others looking for a 2 bed situation at the Inn are aware of this pull-out sofa bed situation and make sure to ask if the pull-out bed mattress has been replaced before booking. read more

Close friends and family recently gathered for a graveside service. After the service we went to the Flower Farm where I had reserved a table under the pergola. The table was ready in the most private, shady, and pleasant part of the pergola. Our server was a lovely young woman, totally organized and pleasant. The menus came quickly and chilled wine was served tastefully. Everyone raved about the delicious food. No one was disappointed. I knew the Flower Farm (my very favorite place to relax, eat, and even listen to music) would not fail. Everyone went away feeling better. Thank you, Flower Farm people. We sure needed you that day! After a busy few weeks with many demands upon our time, we needed a quick quiet get away to reconnect with each other. The Flower Farm in early February on a Thursday was perfect! We were the only overnight guests and had the Farmhouse to ourselves. A short walk around the property gave us a sense of why it rates so well for weddings, bicycle stops, and long lunches with friends. As we named the free ranging fuzzy chickens, we began to wonder if this was the place for an anniversary party in December. We stayed in the Wild Poppy room which is snugly fitted with a double bed, small rocker, old fashioned bathtub, chest of drawers, etc. Comfortable for cuddlers like us; however if you're looking for traditional hotel room space go for the Antique Rose room. It also has a shower tub. Without a TV to distract us, but with strong WiFi, we settle in to enjoy the evening. Having reviewed the Inn's website, we knew that we'd be on our own for dinner. Though there are restaurant options in the area, we had a picnic dinner in the dining room. Given that the farmhouse is two story, the bedrooms upstairs can be warm. Blessedly, there are ceiling fans and windows that open in every room. Our bedding was a warm combination of comforter and bedspread. A nice puffy cloud to cuddle down into as the sandman beckons. The staircase is long and narrow, just like my childhood home in Missouri. However, if the exercise concerns you, go for one of the cottages which are all single story and within a hundred yards of the farmhouse. By 8:30 am, we could smell the home cooked breakfast being made in the kitchen. By 9 am we had eggs, pancakes, and country potatoes served by a friendly staff person. By the 11 am checkout we had cleared our room and were invited to hang out drinking coffee for as long as we liked. read more

I was gifted a 2 night stay in the Climbing Rose Cottage. This place was a cute country farm feel with chickens, citrus orchard, koi pond, green-green everywhere and a small nursery to boot. We happened to be the only people staying for those two nights, so it was very quiet and breakfast was serves to us (not buffet or family style). The room was in a small separate building that was shared between two cottages. Plenty big enough space with coffee bar/sink, king bed, dressers, night stands and small couch. The bathroom was large with pedestal sink, jet tub, rain fall shower head and commode. The other cottages in separate buildings where exclusive to themselves and had a little more privacy. The three rooms in the second story of the farm house where quaint with small bathrooms. However, two of them only had tubs with shower head handles, no curtains... Pleasant and welcoming staff and grounds workers. Our only complaints...breakfast is served at 9am, we were hoping to be on the road before then, but food was delicious and no one could go away hungry!! The other--although nice fast internet...no TV. So just know that ahead of time if that is a comfort you prefer. Other than that or was a charming B n B and from what we could see a wonderful spot for an event as well. read more

If you're thinking about getting married at the Flower Farm Inn, do it. The staff are amazing, the grounds are beautiful, and the chickens are awesome. We rented the venue for two nights. We had looked at comparable venues in the Central Coast (that weren't as well maintained as Flower Farm) that wanted twice as much for ONE DAY as what Flower Farm charged us for Friday AND Saturday. On Friday, we held the rehearsal dinner at the Flower Farm. The staff set up tables for us, and had the reception area prepped so we could do some of our wedding setup. After the rehearsal dinner and setup, my wife and her bridesmaids stayed in the Flower Farm cottages. The cottages are terrific: very clean, comfortable and charming. There's a great lawn in the center of them, where my wife and her bridesmaids were able to hang out, have some champagne and relax (you get the whole place to yourself). In the morning, they had a "ridiculously good" breakfast (prepared by the staff) in their bathrobes, before getting ready. I arrived Saturday morning with my groomsmen. We got ready in the "big house", which had plenty of room for us, and gave my bride plenty of space to get ready and take pictures without running into me (we decided not to see each other before the ceremony). The main ceremony site (near the barn) is very simple, but very nice, centered around a beautiful old tree. It's also next to the chicken coop. Every single one of our guests absolutely loved the chickens, which are cute as sh*t. One of the chickens wandered in front of me as I was waiting for my bride to come down the aisle. It was a great moment, and it gave me a little chuckle, which I needed, because I almost started crying a minute later when my wife appeared. We held our reception in the barn, and it was perfect. We had about 100 guests, and a good-sized dance floor, and the room felt nice and spacious without feeling empty. We could have fit 50+ more people in there easily. Our caterer (Magpie) said they love doing events at FF, because the barn has a full commercial kitchen. At the end of the night (11:00pm), my wife and I went back to our cottage, and the rest of the bridal party stayed in the other cottages. It was so nice to have such a short distance to go to get to bed. The next morning, we woke up, had an amazing breakfast, got our stuff together and headed off on our honeymoon. The Flower Farm staff were very helpful throughout, and, as mentioned above, they make a mean breakfast. We lost our $100 deposit because we didn't pick up all our stuff, but I'm not complaining, just letting future guests know to take everything with them when they leave! The Flower Farm staff obviously takes a lot of pride in their maintenance of the property. The grounds are very well kept, and the building interiors are very clean. I can't recommend the Flower Farm Inn enough. My wife and I are already planning a night in one of the cottages when we get a chance. For being only 30 minutes outside of downtown Sacramento, it feels a world away. read more

I took my girlfriend here for a Valentine's Day get-away, and we ended up having a lovely time. Our little cottage was comfortably and beautifully decorated - and the giant whirlpool bathtub was fantastic. (The candles and chocolate they put in our room was a nice touch.) The room had no TV - which was absolutely fine by us. It's nice to unplug now and then. Then again, they do offer free wi-fi - so I guess I didn't unplug entirely. The grounds in general are lovely, if not a little rustic, with trees and grass and some very fancy chickens wandering about. There's not much in the way of lighting, which is great for star-gazing at night; it just means you might consider bringing a little flashlight if you decide to go for a stroll. There's a gardening shop on the premises, where you can purchase flowers, seeds, and assorted gardening supplies - plus art and knickknacks. There's also a winery (unaffiliated with the inn, far as I can tell), which is worth stopping by for a tasting. What's more, there's a coffee shop/cafe, which we visited briefly but didn't patronize, because we'd had breakfast (which is included with your stay) in the main house. They serve breakfast at 9:00 a.m. (take note, late risers). Guests gather in the dining room of the main house, and everyone sits together around two main tables. Not ideal for people who lean anti-social, but then, everyone is friendly at a B&B, right? The food itself was quite good, including yummy homemade biscuits, a potato dish, and an egg dish. They also prepared a vegan plate especially for my girlfriend (which I explicitly requested in advance when booking our stay). My two minor grievances with the breakfast: First, I also specified that I was vegetarian, but the potato dish had bacon in it. Also, the potatoes were slightly under-cooked. Finally, the staff was friendly and efficient. I booked the room with no trouble via the website, had a couple of questions answered promptly via email, and didn't have to wait to check in or check out. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat for anyone seeking a little country get-away. I anticipate my girlfriend and I will return when the orange blossoms start to bloom. read more

While I didn't interact with the farm directly; as an attendee, I have to say it was lovely and felt the need to yelp about it! Looked at this place for a possible wedding venue. Contacted staff for an appointment and tour. We had visited prior for a wedding. We had a blast. Now it was our turn to take a look. Staff was pleasant from start to end of tour. Facility rental includes tables chairs and room (bed and breakfast blocked out for whole wedding) Generally one event for day. Use of the facility and rooms is what's covered. No linens and decorations are offered. Catering and all other decoration are you choice to hire. Packages do not include alcohol, for you to provide and staff can help. No corking fee. Cake cutting is free. Good: friendly and well articulated staff Bad: unlikely the venue we decide. We needed other services offered In house. We don't need the rooms either. Otherwise we would have booked our wedding here. read more

This place is a solid 10! Beautiful, scenic grounds for a wedding, with citrus trees, gardens, pond, chicken coop, flagstone patio, lawn area and the barn, their indoor event space. The price was very reasonable, and there was plenty of parking. You rent out the entire place, including the cottages and guest house, so you get the entire place to yourself. You can party until 11pm. In the morning, everyone meets at the farm house for a memorable breakfast, and you're on your way. I recently had my wedding here at the flower farm Inn. We choose to stay the night before our wedding and the night after. It was great not having to worry about transportation for the wedding party. The cottages were the perfect size and the guestrooms in the house kept in the feel of the venue. Only thing I would note, is if you are sharing a room, make sure you do not have the room with the bathroom without a door and sheer curtains (in the main house). Other than that, everyone raved how beautiful it was and loved the accommodations. Fran and Annie were a delight and easy to work with. We had about 75 guests in the event space, you could certainly do close to a 125 but I think it would be tight for someone that has a larger wedding. The Flower Farm was the second venue that we visited, and we fell in love with it at first sight! The rustic/garden/orchard/farm feeling was perfect for our style, and it was a simply gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The staff was great leading up to the wedding day, fielding tons of little questions from us (dimensions, room reservations, timing, etc.) and making sure everything was running on schedule. We also took them up on their new offering to hang bistro lights in the reception hall for a small amount of money (especially when compared to renting/buying them and then hanging them yourself). Everything was beautiful and pristine on our wedding day, and we received SO MANY complements on what a great venue it was! I think our guests took more pictures of the adorable fluffy chickens than us! =P Also, breakfast by Tracy the morning after was DELICIOUS. I've seriously never had better French Toast (with icing and blueberries) in my life! read more
