My then fiancé, now husband, and I chose to have our wedding at MVI and officially celebrated our wedding on 9/3/2022. Sydney, was not our initial coordinator however, upon her being assigned to us she immediately communicated with us and made sure to put us at ease. She was extremely communicative, organized, detail oriented, energetic, and patient. Having never been married we often had questions! She was always more than willing to answer our questions and offer us suggestions. She ensured that our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. We can't in words express the amount of gratitude we have for Sydney because without her, we feel like our wedding would not have been the same amazing experience that it was. We chose the Vineyard package and upgraded to have light blue linens to match our color scheme. We also chose to have an open bar for all of our guests. We loved having these options to customize our day. They also allowed for us to bring in all of our decorations on the day before our wedding which made for a much easier day of the wedding. The getting ready rooms for the bridal party were exactly what we needed. There was plenty of room for the 5 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids + glam squad of 4 to help us all get ready. MVI provided us with glassware, waters, and a mini fridge that we were able to use for those pre ceremony mimosas. The food, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. Our communication with the included vendors were all fantastic. Ambiance floral for flowers and Devine Bakery for our cake all made sure to bring our visions to life. Overall My husband and I are extremely satisfied with MVI and would recommend this venue and Sydney to any couples in search of an all inclusive but customizable wedding venue. read more

Such a beautiful wedding venue! We got married here in July of 2023. Everything was perfect and so special thanks you the Monte Verde team and the wedding coordinator Sydney. Every part of the process was made easy from the planning to the big day itself. When the day arrived, Sydney ensured everything was set up and that we were on time. There was not a moment of stress leading up to our day, which is exactly what we wanted. The food was wonderful, the ambiance was light and fun. We ended up staying at the Inn the night of our wedding which was so worth it. We got to say goodbye to all of our guests, which is what we wanted. In the morning, the Monte verde team had boxed everything up neatly and placed the items by the door for us. This venue is absolutely beautiful and serene. I received so many compliments day of our wedding and was blown away by the staff that actually worked the event. My issue with this venue is the management, not the staff that helped with catering or serving etc. During my 10 month planning experience with Monte Verde, they switching wedding coordinators 4 different times. I was only informed 2 times when this happened out of 4 and was left wondering why my coordinator wasn't responding to my calls or emails. I ended up having to call their sister location after no response of about 2 weeks and was informed that the coordinator changed once again. I flew from San Diego to Sacramento to meet face to face with my said coordinator in January. Between January and April of 2024, the coordinator changed 2 more times which I was never informed of. To me, this happening 3 months before my wedding date is absolutely not okay. I ended my coordination journey with Rachelle who was absolutely amazing and made my day run so smooth. However, I found out that she would be leaving the month after my wedding. I asked her to reach out to management regarding my case of 4 coordinators to explain how much stress this has caused me in my planning experience and management responded with the fact that I was only ever having DAY OF coordination so it isn't their fault about the lack of communication before hand. Please please hire an outside coordinator who will be by your side throughout your planning experience and not take 4-7 days to respond to emails or calls. This venue is beautiful, the food is good, and the cake catering with divine desserts was outstanding. My poor review is for the management of this location. read more

We were interested in getting married here but ultimately couldn't due to poor communication on the venue staff's part. We toured the venue and the coordinator seemed really nice. I will say that there are aspects of the venue that seem run down and in need of upkeep. At the end of the tour, she said she would promptly send us an email with an estimated quote and more information. After not hearing back after a week, I sent her an email asking for the quote/follow up. To this day, I've never heard back from anyone at Monte Verde and it's been over a month and half since the tour. Honestly such a waste of time. If the coordinator can't follow up with a simple email or any response at all, how could I trust them to coordinate such an important day as a wedding? Huge red flags all around read more

When we got engaged we did so much research looking for the right venue for us. Monte Verde was the first place we loved and really wanted to look at. We went and looked at the venue meeting with the coordinator Sydney who was great! We were so excited and booked right away without hesitation. Months went by and we hadn't heard from our coordinator or the venue. Then we were informed we got a new coordinator. After getting a few months closer to our wedding we tried to make a planning meeting with our new coordinator just for the coordinator to get changed again. Then the coordinator got changed again and again. By the end of this we went through 4 coordinators. That only leaves someone to wonder why this Venue cannot keep a coordinator. Must be a management/owner issue. When we finally got settled with the sister locations coordinator Rachelle who seemed good our coordinator was changed again. Our final coordinator was no where to be found the day of the wedding rehearsal. My family had to step in and run the rehearsal for us. Kat and staff were friendly trying to help though not being coordinators themselves. The food was fine. The venue is pretty but all inclusive needs to be all inclusive and make it easy for the bride and groom. The easel I asked to set up my seating chart on was the wrong color after I brought all my own decorations and basically hand served how to set up the wedding. When we woke up no one was onsite to give us our wedding cake or any direction on how to leave the venue. Overall very upset with the amount of money spent and no compensation for the disorganization. read more

Sydney was so knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The amount of details this venue takes care of was insane, and you cannot beat the price for all that it includes! To have catering, linens, cake, getting ready suites, flowers, and so much more covered was such a blessing! It made the wedding planning so simple and I knew that those details would be taken care of in Sydney's hands. And day of, everything went so smoothly and Sydney was a calming and joyful personality to have by our sides! The food was amazing, the venue was set up perfectly, and it was a lovely night. As priest, I do weddings! At last count I was somewhere over 250! And while it's a pleasure to do them, not every place is a pleasure to work with. Monte Verde Inn was lovely! I never would have found this spot on my own: That's because they are located in the mountains and off the beaten path. But that's thing: Sometimes the most beautiful requires additional efforts! This beautiful, rural estate has all the care a person could want: Treated, manicured gardens; a kind and helpful staff; and a good facility in which a couple may prepare for their event. I have no idea how much it costs...but you can bet your bottom dollar that most places that are wedding venues are not cheap. That said, this one's worth your while if for no other reason than a private locale. read more

My daughter and now son in law were married at Monte Verde Inn Oct. 14th. I cannot believe what a wonderful experience it was. The tri tip and chicken were amazing. The service of the wait staff was perfect. The dressing rooms, and property were perfection. And the ease and ability for vendors to do their thing was obvious. It went so smoothly! And there was never a tense moment that we saw amongst the staff. The reason it all went beautifully? Sydney, our coordinator. From the moment we met her, she had it all under control. Sydney's communication skills, organizational talent, calm spirit and friendly demeanor made it seem like your best friend was coordinating for you. Truly, she made everything wonderful. I cannot recommend Sydney and Monte Verde Inn more highly. I was kinda wishing we could do it all again. read more

We fell in love with this venue, and were initially treated very well. Unfortunately, we had to cancel, due to unforeseen circumstances, and then it all changed! We cancelled, understanding that we would get our $5,000 deposit back if another couple booked our date. We reached out to Alicia and her response was that unless someone were to choose our original date, we were out of luck and should not expect any kind of refund. I questioned how we could be at fault in that a global pandemic hit, but could not get any clear answer.  The bottom line is, if someone was unable to take our date, due to the pandemic or otherwise, we had no recourse, and would forfeit our deposit.   We accepted the fact that we canceled pre pandemic and tried to make it right by explaining that we would forfeit $1,000 as a cancellation fee. Alicia  became very  uncooperative. She told us she would contact us for a time to talk, but it would be over a month before we could began our dialog again. We tried to resolve this, but could not get any kind of reasonable agreement. She and Monte Verde Inn would do NOTHING more than just take our deposit and wash their hands of us.  They made no effort to make a good faith refund, of any kind. This has truly been an eye opener for us especially during these hard times.  We are sad that this venue and the couples interested in the property are being dealt with this way. read more

We had our July 2018 wedding at Monte Verde Inn and it really was the best day ever! I know people say that all the time, but Monte Verde really helped make everything run seamlessly. Lexi and Ali were wonderful to work with, and Lexi always responded to all my questions promptly and made sure I stayed on track throughout the planning process. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! No stress, no drama, everything turned out perfectly. We loved every detail about that day. It took me a while to write this review because MVI left me with a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I got married there in April 2021, after dealing with pandemic-related delays. However, my negative experience predates COVID. The highlights: - The initial coordinator I spoke to (Lexi) was wonderful, and a huge part of the reason I booked at MVI. She was let go shortly after I signed the contract. She clearly was very experienced, and a lot of the things she promised ended up not happening. - They were supposed to offer an open house for couples once you'd signed the contract. The first one (in 2019, pre-COVID) was cancelled. Then, due to the pandemic, we never got to attend an open house or see any of the setup that was promised to us. - MVI initially refused to offer any sort of menu tasting (originally, that would have been provided at the open house). When I pushed back, they allowed my then-fiancé and I to come to someone else's wedding and sample their food... pretty awkward. - My wedding coordinator, Alicia, had poor communication and even forgot that she had booked a detail appointment with us. When we arrived at the venue, she asked if we were just there to look around - then kept us waiting nearly 45 minutes while she finished with another couple. She rarely reached out via email to check in on planning, which was frustrating because so much of it (flowers, cake, etc.) is run through MVI. At one point, she told me "Some brides don't like a lot of communication from their coordinator." It would be helpful if she asked her clients what level of communication they prefer. We also were never able to contact her via phone -- only email or the MVI phone number (which didn't matter because she was working remotely). Response took anywhere from a few days to a week plus, and I usually had to follow up to get a response. - Due to the pandemic, in the weeks leading up to my wedding the state was not allowing gatherings of more than three households. Despite that, MVI insisted they could continue with our 120-person guest list and refused to let us out of the contract. It would have been nice if MVI respected the fact that state guidance prohibited such gatherings. Instead, they told us that the contract only promised a ceremony and a meal, not a certain guest count or dancing - basically, if they could provide a ceremony/meal for even two people, we wouldn't be able to get out of the contract. - Despite myriad restrictions due to COVID, and our desire to reduce our guest count to be safe, MVI initially refused to lower our F&B minimum. It was literally impossible to spend the $13,500 minimum with our 40-person guest count. After a lot of discussion, MVI did agree to lower the F&B minimum, which I very much appreciated. - Our cake was provided via Divine Desserts. Although I was initially told that we could keep the top tier of our cake, it turns out that was an additional charge (due to guest count, we only needed a two-tier cake - our options were to add a third tier for about $200 or have a sheet cake in the back, for an additional $40 or so). While $40 isn't much, it was very frustrating that we had to pay extra for something we were told was included. - The morning of the wedding, I was fielding phone calls from one of our vendors, who had arrived at the venue and found that no one was there. Considering I had paid extra for the 8 a.m.-noon guaranteed window that MVI requested, that was extremely frustrating. After multiple phone calls with the vendor, and no way to get in touch with Alicia, I ended up telling him to just leave the items by the side of the house so that he could move on to other deliveries. The whole point of a day-of coordinator is to avoid that exact situation. - We had 38 guests total, and some of the food came out ice cold - not lukewarm, but absolutely cold all the way through. - The food itself is solidly mediocre. We upgraded to the Chateau package (the most expensive option) and the inclusion of filet was the only saving grace. - Alicia said she would be there to cue our wedding party when it came time to start the processional. She wasn't -- very nerve-wracking. - Our welcome sign was on a provided easel that kept blowing over. Staff just said "it happens all the time." My father made them put weights on it -- problem solved. - Prior to our event's "official" end time (10 p.m.), staff were removing centerpieces, etc. from the tables. Wouldn't you wait for the event to end before clearing down? - Virtually none of our guests knew that cake was available -- we paid for plated meals, so it would have been nice if cake had been served to tables rather than cut/plated on a table by the bathroom. - No time was allotted for us to have the officiant/witnesses sign our wedding paperwork... pretty large detail that went unnoticed until the end of the night, when I remembered and ran back inside to get the papers and a pen. Overall, my wedding was just... fine. Would not recommend. read more

As a 60 year old self-made multi-millionaire and very longtime "Captain of the ship," this was my first experience with being an officiant at (my daughters!) wedding. And although I was nervous, yet very prepared, I did not know what to expect from the coordinator or DJ. I am a gentle perfectionist, with admittedly very high standards (which Sidney could not know) so this was a very big deal to me. My only daughters wedding. In absolutely full honesty and disclosure, I have to admit (with immense gratitude and well deserved respect) that I love, love, loved the venue, the wedding coordinator and the DJ. Sydney is an absolute rock star. She knows her stuff, she puts in the time, and she is not only supremely prepared in advanced, but also gently but expertly marshals every person into position from preliminary to post ceremony success. Like any person who holds herself to a standard of excellence, she makes it look nonchalant and easy. I cannot imagine a more amazing, sweet, and professional coordinator. If you trust me, and you should, please don't take this wrong, and I toss compliments around like 100lb man-hole covers, but you're an idiot if you don't hire her. That's just a fact. My rock hard policy is, if they earn it, respect it. Our DJ, Mike, was just as perfect and spot on. Kudos and respect. You know pros when you meet them. I was the very prepared newbie, but it was seamless and the wedding went off without so much as a hiccup. Everyone thinks that's easy, but if you've been around the block for decades answering to high expectations then you know that excellence just doesn't work that way. Excellence is never easy nor an accident. In freaking anything, pro is pro. The proof in the pudding- more than one guest said that it was the best wedding that they had EVER been to. Best...wedding...that...they...had...ever...been...to. You decide. I paid for it all, and I'm pretty damned happy. If you're a new officiant- I took the "Unboring Weddings" officiant course online in advance and I HIGHLY recommend it. In closing- I don't do these reviews, I'm too lazy and busy. So this is mega- rare. But, hey, I get it. This is a BIG deal to you (it sure as fu** was to me). My advice? Surround yourself with these guys. When the real deal goes down, it matters! You only get one crack at this, and the magnitude of it doesn't hit you until the dust settles, then you're either on top of the world or chalking it up as a lesson learned. Don't be a loser who was too nonchalant and ignorant of what the pro's bring to the table. Yes or no, and no is fine, but I'll vouch for these people. read more

Lovely. The whole place from staff to space is lovely. The limited bathroom/plumbing and the driveway may need a some attention but in a thats-really-expensive-and-people-still-need-to-get-paid kind of way. I don't see that changing. I loved the twinkle lights all above us and in the trees. I loved how the venue really streamlines all the planning. It's definitely worth a look for any other wedding or party. It's pretty isolated; so if you forget a charger or need something from your hotel, it's going to be a moment. What you really get from this venue is an AMAZING coordinator, Lexi. She's a HUGE help with all the big and and very little things. She's extremely knowledgeable and works tirelessly to make the couple's ideal wedding day! read more

This venue is perfect in every way! I am a wedding photographer and I can only dream that every venue is this beautiful and has coordinator that is so easy to work with and organized. Lexie was fantastic from the moment I met her and she helped keep us on time and made the day so easy. The bridal suite and grooms quarters were beautiful and spacious with great lighting. Ceremony location was in the shade and just gorgeous! Dinner was delicious and the crew was finished setting up a full hour before the ceremony which gave me, the photographer, tons of time to get all of the detail photos. There are so many cute spots on this property for photos and the food was SO GOOD! Cannot recommend this place more. Not sure why I'm reviewing this Inn, but it did impress me quite a bit this past weekend. We went to a wedding that took place in this "magical" place. I do have to say that this was one of the better weddings that I've gone to, and I try not to go to too many. The place was "perfect" replete w/ a wooden arbor. It's also the perfect size so you don't feel like that there's a lot of people to not mingle with. BTW, the weather was definitely a factor, and this past weekend was just superb. I'm writing this review from the perspective of a guest at my friend's wedding. There's no denying this place is a beautiful venue to have your magical day. The place was set up very nicely. I was surprised at how delicious the food was. I was impressed by the crab cakes and smoked salmon for the appetizers, and I think everyone agreed that the tri tip stole the show for the main course. The salmon was slightly overcooked, but it can easily be overlooked. The wait staff was for the most part friendly, but there were some who seemed like they didn't want to go above and beyond their job duty to accommodate the guests. When the sun sets and it turns into night, all these little lights they have hanging everywhere just brings the place to life. Granted, me and my friend got these huge mosquito bites the next day (they do have those smoke things to keep them away), I'd say the venue was a good choice on the bride and groom's part. read more

Our daughter and son-in-law's wedding was amazing! During the planning phase Owner, Kelly helped us remain organized and kept everything on track. She's a sweetheart and a smart business woman too. We had our wedding at the Monte Verde Inn on May 19th and it was amazing! Before choosing the Monte Verde we had gone through a bunch of different ideas. The cost of having a wedding planner and the hassle of it all was steering us towards just eloping, but then we found the Monte Verde and it seemed to have everything we needed for a better price than if we were to do it all ourselves. Once we chose it as the venue we were happy to see that was correct. A large part of this was due to Alexis, who runs the wedding planning and it an overall awesome person. For our rehearsal and on the day off our event, Ali also stepped in to help make sure everything ran incredibly smoothly. I knew that anything I needed would be taken care of. These two talented women make a dynamo team. A large part of the reason we chose the venue was for the ease and efficiency of the wedding packages they offer, and I'm pleased to say that Lexi, Ali, and the rest of the Monte Verde staff were able to carry everything out in order to create a dream wedding for us. We selected MVI for our wedding in April 2018 because it was all inclusive and we could not have been happier with our decision. We booked over a year in advance and actually had a different coordinator when we first booked and toured the venue. We were a little nervous when we got a notification that the prior coordinator had left and a new coordinator was going to be stepping in but Lexi and her team were absolutely amazing! There were a lot of changes and updates that were happening in regards to preferred vendors and package details over that transition but they were all for the better and Lexi was fully transparent with us through the whole process. We were the first wedding of 2018 and were aware that we may need to be flexible for an indoor/outdoor wedding depending on weather in early April. It poured rain for 2 days leading up to the wedding but the sun came out the day off. Lexi was very flexible and accommodating for getting our reception set up how we wanted it outside with all of our dancing inside. I also had a ton of DIY decor items that I coordinated with Lexi ahead of time that MVI set up beautifully outside. It is worth noting that there is a natural spring at the ceremony site that did keep the ceremony a little wet even though the rain had stopped but MVI staff did all they could to soak some of it up with the aisle runner. It's just something that can't really be controlled but wouldn't be an issue if you're looking to book in the dry season. Lexi and her assistant Ali were also great at keeping things running smoothly and keeping everyone in check to make sure they weren't goofing off too much. The day went by so fast but everything was seamless and just as I imagined it. We even had a number of our guests tell how beautiful the wedding was and that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. My daughter had her wedding at the Monte Verde Inn just recently and the venue was very beautiful. The food was good and the flowers and cake were lovely. My main complaint is with the wedding coordinators, Alicia and Baylee...Two weeks before the wedding, Alicia was very rude to my daughter and her finance about certain details that was needed before the wedding day. She mentioned many months back she would take care of these details but told them she would not take care of it and they had to do it. Also, my daughter tried to reach out to her and she would not respond to my daughter for several days leading up to the wedding. Plus the only way to communicate with her was through email, and if they wanted to communicate with her, they would have to set up a phone meeting which would be many days later. If you prefer to have a coordinator to communicate with you before your wedding, then you might want to use a different venue. A month before the wedding, Alicia told my daughter that she was not going to be at the rehearsal/ wedding and that another coordinator would be there but she never had an made introductions to my daughter/ her finance via phone, email or virtually with this new coordinator. This was very unprofessional to bring on someone new without an introduction. At the wedding, the new coordinator Baylee was missing throughout the event. My daughter had an expectation from Alicia that her coordinator would be next to her after the ceremony to make sure both her husband and herself would be with a drink in their hands at all times, letting them know what the next steps were for them to do during the meal time/ cake cutting, etc. Unfortunately, Baylee did not do these things. My personal experience with Baylee was she mentioned that she would make sure that the bridal party plus the mothers & fathers would get their flowers but both myself & my daughter's mother in law had to hunt down our corsages since Baylee was no where to be found. She seemed unexperienced and someone should have been there to mentor her. Getting married at Monte Verde Inn (June 2018) was the best decision that we made! We began our journey by signing the contract with Tina; however, we mostly worked with Lexi because she soon took over as the coordinator. She was wonderful and the whole experience made wedding planning so much easier! Communication with Lexi was easy and she understood all of our wants/needs for the perfect wedding. We used many of the preferred vendors and it made for a flawless night. Many of our 100 guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and that the reception was very enjoyable (free booze probably helped- we opted for the Open Bar, which was another great decision). And although no one had control of the weather, the venue provides guests with a ceremony/reception set at optimal times... it turned out to be a great temperature! The setting was gorgeous and for being all-inclusive, Monte Verde Inn is actually a reasonable price when compared to other venues in the area. On October 20, 2018 the love of my life and I made promises to each other. Formally and in front of family and friends, after a 10 year wait! Since we had waited so long, there was a huge buildup of anticipation. We knew we had to put on an amazing event. Given that he proposed in October 2017 and we decided that fall of 2018 was when we wanted to have the ceremony, we had to be efficient with our planning. We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding with a delicious plated dinner. Monte Verde Inn in Foresthill, Ca was a really easy choice. Lexi and Ali handled everything and always made us feel special. They are fantastic to work with and can handle whatever needs to be handled. As with any event, we had some planning speed bumps. Lexi was there with a solution every time. Monte Verde Inn gives you the confidence of an established system while still creating an individual event. The packages consolidate the decisions and still allow for customization. The whole planning process was so much fun! Lexi, Ali and the MVI staff gave us our dream wedding day! In the almost 4 weeks since the wedding (wow, almost a month married!), I've had time to talk to guests and reflect on my memories. Everyone I talk to says our wedding was the best one they have ever been to. Credit goes to MVI for that! People kept asking me if I was nervous or telling me not to be stressed. I was never nervous about marrying my hubby. We made our commitment to each other long ago. As to being nervous about the day, I had a strategy. We had our wedding at Monte Verde inn 9/1/18, and there are not enough words I could ever use to describe what a perfect day and experience we had! My mom and I made the trip down there in October 2017, and once we left there, after seeing the beautiful grounds and meeting Lexi (coordinator), I knew this was the place I HAD to get married, and I definitely made the right decision! If you want a stress free experience, this is your place and Lexi is your girl! While planning a wedding I was completing my Master's degree and building a house, and I never once stressed about my wedding because I knew I was in such good hands. When I told Lexi, I wasn't much of a planner and was pretty simple, she was in heaven, and our planning meeting was soooo much fun with her and Ali getting to help me pick out everything for my perfect day! Jump forward to the weekend of the wedding, my rehearsal was so perfectly run, and my wedding day was the most magical day of my entire life! Sitting up in the bridal suite, getting ready, looking out the window watching everything come together was like a dream. Again, there are truly no words to describe how perfect this day was, and everything leading up to it! I would do it a million times over! We were married on July 8th 2018 and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, our sincere thanks to Lexi, Ali, and the super thoughtful staff!! The venue is breathtaking and picturesque - wildflowers, sprawling lawns, a small vineyard, and the gorgeous white inn all surrounded by acres of trees. We had an outdoor wedding and it was just lovely and felt very intimate. The Inn is full service - we really appreciated being able to work with one team for cake, catering, flowers, and everything else for a seamless wedding day. We had an amazing wedding at Monte Verde Inn with Sydney as our coordinator. We were looking for a venue that was all-inclusive, and Sydney really took care of 90% of all the things one has to worry about in wedding planning. She is called a coordinator, but really she helped with all aspects of planning ranging from the food and cake, to the flowers and linens. The process was very straight forward, after an initial tour we had 2 zoom calls with her where we went over our food selections and headcounts, and what we'd be providing (personal flowers, little table details, arch decor, etc). We also had brief tasting with the cake vendor to choose our flavors. The rehearsal was also easy, only took a short amount of time the day before. Day of the wedding, Sydney really shined in handling a crazy day with rain (when we planned to be all outside) and uncertainty in the forecast. MVI staff really hustled and allowed us to have the ceremony/cocktail hour outside, dinner inside, and then move dancing outside again. It was all very seamless and we were so appreciative. The food was fantastic (even the "lowest tier" option) as was the entire venue; it was beautifully manicured and the tables/linens were perfect. We had SJ's DJ (Mike) as the emcee and Hailey Ayson as the photographer, and we'd choose them all over again if we had to. We cannot recommend MVI and Sydney enough, especially to couples who want to be hands-off on the process and trust an experienced staff to make it look perfect. read more

What a BEAUTIFUL venue!!! What a talented wedding coordinator Lexi is! Oh My Gosh! We were blown away with everything here at the Monte Verde Inn last Saturday, July 6, 2019! The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. The venue is so charming and beautiful and romantic. It's easy to get to (just 10 miles from Auburn) off a very modern road. Our son's wedding had approximately 77 guests and there were 8 round tables that seated up to 10 per table on the grass area. The venue can hold a lot more than that. The tree lined area for the wedding ceremony is nicely shaded at the 5 pm wedding start time. By the time the wedding's over, the shade moves to where the tables are set up. It's so dialed in. Also, the venue has a price that includes the food, the venue flowers and the cake. The florist is so talented and the cake baker is amazing. The dressing / relaxing rooms for the men and for the women (separate areas) are comfortable as well. Monte Verde has it all! read more

My husband and I just got married here last weekend and holy crap we are still glowing with how perfect the night went!! Monte Verde is an almost all inclusive venue that really takes all the stress away from the couple. We were engaged for a little over a year and we were constantly asked by family and friends "oh my god aren't you stressed out??.. (annoyed face)."I can honestly say as the bride I was not and I am an overplanning kind of person. The coordinator Lexi and her staff have everything down to the exact minute and down to every single detail. Many details are taken care of for you and all you and your partner simply need to do is choose your details and then show up(cake detail, cake flavors, linens, all food, all bar drinks, florist for centerpieces, servers etc. ALL DONE FOR YOU) It was so nice! The only vendors we had to hire on our own were photographer/photobooth, videographer and DJ (all of which Lexi provides recommendations.) And the food was really good which is definitely a plus. We need to give a special shoutout to the wedding planner and day of coordinator Lexi. She is AMAZING. She is awesome at communicating and providing honest feedback and opinions of what she thinks couples actually need versus what they see on pinterest that would cause a lot more work. She is VERY detailed oriented and thinks of so many things before the couple even does. On the day of she does an amazing job running the night and is always in the right spot at the right time holding exactly what it is that you are looking for. Monte Verde is definitely worth the money. It is nicely tucked away off of Foresthill road. You feel like you are out of town getting married in a magical forest covered in twinkle lights but in reality you are about 20 minutes out of town. I also loved that everything was at one location (ceremony, reception, getting ready, etc.) The house itself is beautiful and has a lot of vintage traditional details that are to die for. There is also an inside ballroom that can be used in case of rain or in colder seasons. We felt like our wedding was a movie. Everything went perfect and everything was so beautiful! I got married in November of 2009. The Monte Verde Inn is an all-inclusive venue, this was the only venue we actually visited and we booked on the spot 15 months in advance. They have seasonal rates which gives the bride and groom of different budgets the chance to afford their venue. Basically, the popular wedding season months are the most expensive months (May-Oct) off season is where the incredible bargain is. Trust me I did my research and you cannot get anything this beautiful and all inclusive anywhere in California. You will get your flower arrangements, custom designed cake, plated or buffet dinner, drink package, linens, tables) included, wedding coordination included in your fee. Accommodations for up to 16 guests are optional package and for not that much extra. We booked 15 months in advance so I can tell you I have an accurate account of this venue and hope that my review is helpful as when I booked they're weren't many reviews. Some of the reviews will touch up on one con, and that is the owner's personality. It is true, Kelly upfront had a dry personality which I admit really bothered me for a long time and created great anxiety as I thought it would influence my wedding day, however all I can say is on the day of your wedding day you will get a true professional. One that is capable and ready with a staff that is seasoned and ready to make your day flawless. If you can trust that you can get beyond what is just her business ethic and that is to be a true wedding professional. She is a tough cookie but in the end that is what you are going to need to make your day go off without a hitch, and trust me on the day of, Kelli's true personality shines through as she is a really good person who just wants to make sure you get your perfect day. I can attest to MVI being one of the few vendors that I could get a hold at the drop of the dime despite their intensely busy schedule with year round weddings. They were extremely organized hosting a welcome orientation, tasting, a binder with all the information you will need to help you make your selections from their packages and even provided a wedding blog for their brides and grooms posting about wedding topics about favors, decor, etiquette and postings of actual weddings held there for inspiration. Ceremony: Our ceremony was an unforgettable miracle of a ceremony. We had it outdoors and although it had been raining that day I had my heart on having it under the beautiful trees and courtyard at MVI. They made it happen and it was actually 10x better than a normal outdoor ceremony. Our ceremony was something that we hear about still from our guests and was so personal and special as it was held under umbrellas with the beautiful autumnal leaves and lush forest surrounding us. Reception: It was held indoors in candle lit Victorian ambiance. The food was amazing, our guests couldn't stop talking about the food. (How often does that happen at weddings?) Kelli & Co. were always there checking in on us and making sure we were taken care of like for instance making sure to find me whenever my cup was empty and making sure I had a drink. She even saved us both warm plates of our appetizers for us when we returned from taking formal photos so we missed out on nothing of what we paid for. We felt like VIP's and that's how you should feel on your day. We can't rave enough about the entire experience as it was inclusive including cake, rentals, food, bar, flowers, etc. At the end of the night as my guests and I did a conga line around the Inn MVI was hard at work collecting all of my decorations, my personal belongings and gifts and cards making sure I nor my family had literally nothing to be burdened with on our day. I actually had arranged for the mothers to attend to this, but I underestimated MVI's professionalism as all four of my storage bins of everything I had brought for the wedding was carefully packaged and accounted for. Our custom cake, the excellent dinner, the level of care and wedding coordination that comes with your wedding package is above and beyond. Picturesque wedding venue just is north of Sacramento. Nestled among foliaged hills, this site gave a fairytale quality to my friend's wedding. Verdant, tall, and majestic redwood trees curtained the ceremony and reception areas. The wait staff were polite, graceful and professional.
