It was very unprofessional for them to make me wait 30 minutes past my appointment time, and the person kept answering personal phone calls during our meeting. The quote they gave me was expensive, charging per side per session, with no guarantee on how many sessions it would take for complete removal. Another client told me in the parking lot she was on her sixth session with no results. My advice is to temper your expectations. Getting tattoo removal requires multiple session over years. While each session was quick the tattoo slowly fades each time and the healing process sucks. The last few times I got ugly blisters. You have to wait about 2-3 months for the tattoo to heal to get lasered again. I started going in March 2023 to remove a regrettable tattoo I got about 9 years ago. Took 2 years and 8 sessions for the tattoo to be light enough to be covered up. Dr. Tien was great. These are my results with Newhope Laser Skin after one session. It cost $500 for one session on the brows but if you pay cash you'll get %5 off so I paid $475. I got my eyebrows tattooed dark brown beginning of 2020 after 5 years they started turning grey. My experience with Newhope Laser Skin was honestly really amazing. When I first came into their office they made me sign some papers and wait, then I got to talk to a consultant who explained the process of how laser tattoo removal works. I was shocked when he told me I wouldn't scab or scar because before when I was watching TikTok videos of other women getting their brow tattoos lasered off I saw a lot of scabbing and some scars. The lasering was pretty painful but quick. They answered all the questions I had and made me feel comfortable during the whole process as I was slightly nervous. Their office is super clean and tidy. I only needed one session as essentially all my ink is gone there is still some left but it is so light only I could tell really. And like I was told I didn't scab. Absolutely, hands-down, wonderful. I live in South OC and have received consultations in both Irvine and San Clemente. Oh, and Laguna Hills. This far exceeded my expectations. While Westminster may not be as nice as those other cities, the procedures, pricing and time-care-attention to detail has surpassed all of my experiences in the past . The pricing was extremely reasonable, with many discounts available. The other experiences I had at consultations had an air of arrogance and elitism. I'm not that type of person and I care about genuine conversation and I like feeling that people are approachable. Tattoo removal here is ABSOLUTELY manageable. I loved everything about it. I had been previously traumatized by a different tattoo removal location. I went to a discount tattoo removal place in Los Angeles, after having received a $1300/session quote for removal from the OC locations. The cheaper price was attractive to me, so I went to a bare-bones pretty ghetto place in LA. Avoid these type of locations at all cost. The pricing here at New Hope was not far from the LA place. It was $300 different and OH SO WORTH the money. I mean, I feel dumb for ever going elsewhere. I wasn't offered any type of lidocaine at the other location and after explaining to my dad that I felt like passing out from the pain, he advised me to find somewhere professional so I can receive the best care possible. My husband also forbade me from going To the other type of place. Lol, o was just trying to save money- I mean I have kids! I much rather spend money on them. So lidocaine (I opted for the injection because I was on a time crunch, they offer topical too), excellent and fast laser removal, followed by sterile bandaging and that's it- I was done . This is all very standard I'm sure, but after having experienced a facility that didn't bandage me post removal and after having experienced a laser that was SO MUCH more painful, slow and without a cooling element- I would advise everyone to GO HERE. I'm unsure of what other lasers and procedures other facilities offer, but since this EXPERIENCE was so pleasant I will only return here and recommend this place to everyone .... The tattoo area was getting more redness and swelled, it's itchy and burns. I been avoiding sun and putting on any lotion as instructed for more than three weeks. Most people should already been healed by now, there must be something wrong. I called in and been told it's normal and put on even more lotion, which I did and it got even worse. At the point I couldn't sleep anymore because it burns like hell. They didn't even bother to see the pictures I took. I had to go to dermatology next day and was told by doctor that it was infection, which I should not put on lotion at the first place. Very disappointed with misguided instructions! After removing several tattoos during the past 15 years (black/grey and color tattoos) - at two other medical offices, this location contacted me on my social media inquiring about my business - they somehow knew I was related to a tattoo artist. I decided to give this location a try and after a short consultation, was sold 1 treatment for $300 to treat 2 very small black and grey tattoos near each other. This office requires payment before the treatment is conducted which is different from the other locations I've received treatments from. No discount was offered (even though I was told I'd get one during their initial contact to me) but I did not make that a big deal or insist on it at all. I was hoping to remove a couple more tattoos if I was satisfied with their work. The female medical professional who performed the treatment rushed me through the process failing to change the table paper (I could see it was dirty from a previous patient sitting on it) so I had to ask her to replace it. It was really rushed and I could tell they just wanted to get patients in as quickly as possible. To my complete surprise, the treatment that I received resulted in absolutely zero fading of either tattoos that were treated. They claim to use a new technology laser. Tattoo removal treatments are not new to me, and there is ALWAYS significant fading after one treatment. I did not contact them to complain, I think they know very well what they are doing. Updated review because I've been getting a lot of messages on this: Below I posted a before and after. My first treatment was on both the skull and roses. I ended up wanting to keep my rose and do a cover up of the skull in the future, so I got the second treatment ONLY on the skull. This is how much the skull faded from two treatments and a year later. BUT everyone's skin is different. Why I didn't come back for my 3rd appointment: They were friendly and careful my first visit, but my second visit wasn't the same. I can't recommend this place for microblading removal. They charge double the going rate in the LA/OC area ($500 vs. $250/session) for no justifiable reason. I was aware of this but thought, maybe their laser is magic and I'll only need one session? Why else would it cost so much more than everywhere else? Well, it's not magic. This place charges way too much for tattoo removal! They charged me $650 for one quarter of a half sleeve, and I didn't see any results. I was under the impression that the money that I paid would cover more than one session, but they just told me that it was only for the one 20 minute session, and that they only guarantee their work after 12 sessions. Great place to have a tattoo removed. March of 2021, I had a lapse of judgment and went to a place called Sway Brows in Artesia. The owner Tanny lied to me and said that my microblading was not a tattoo. When I found out it was a tattoo, I went to NewHope to begin the removal process. Dr. Tien was very careful with my skin and was able to lighten the tattoo around 85%. I really love all the staff at NewHope and I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my appointments. The doctor was very honest and assured me that with time, I could see complete removal. I just want to say to people that are going through the removal process is that a lot of patience is required! The Dr. is rude. We were rushed. No result. I don't recommend this place. I took my mom to Newhope Laser Skin Care for a partial eyebrows tattoo removal approx. 3 months ago. We had a consultation with Sean, the office manager. Sean sounded knowledgable. On the day of, we paid cash for the procedure (discount for cash patient), waited 30 min., then we get to see the Dr. The Dr. didn't greet or introduced herself, just asked in English the parts of the eyebrows to removed, I explained to her in English and also asked her to communicate directly to the patient & don't speak through me. Guess she was embarassed to be corrected. She gave my mom some tape to cover the part of the eyebrows where she does not want to laser to hit. This task took some time yet the Dr. clearly displayed agitation while we were taping. Both my mom and I were rushed to tape quickly (took 1 min.) Why didn't the front office prep us before we see the Dr.? The laser procedure took 5 seconds and the staff sent us a video of it. We rewatched the video and clearly the laser did not go over all the areas that were to be removed. Needless to say, it's been 3 months, no result. The office is clean and organized and the front staff has great customer service. The intake process was quick and easy. I checked in, filled out my form, and was called in for my free consultation right away! Sean was awesome. He explained everything from the tattoo removal process to the different outcomes per patient. He also explained the max size per removal process and its impact on the liver. (Which is good to know since my tattoo is a big piece) Pricing is very straightforward, pay per session as you go, which is something that I appreciate! I've been to other tattoo removal clinics where they want you to pay upfront for, let's say, 10 sessions. (Think about it, if I pay upfront for my 10 sessions and my tattoo is gone after 5...what happens to my remaining paid sessions?) Why would I want to pay for services that I have not received yet? Exactly. Some clinics also try to convince you to apply for their credit card to pay for those sessions! Dr. Tien is great. Tattoo price was about 2-3x that of other tattoo removal places, but they claim it's because they have the newest type of laser. Who knows if it's worth it. The one star is for the amazing amount of spam email and text messages I received from this place for a survey of my experience and for deals. Plus I got a random text from an unknown number two days later that says I need to go get an STD check because an "anonymous person" put my name on some list. Very weird, and since I never got a text like this before, and I know it has to be spam, I attribute it to New Hope giving or selling my contact info.
