They even kept the doors open late on a Friday until my wife could get there from Charlotte. I had multiple phone calls afterwards due to my insurance company leaving the car there for over six weeks. Every time I spoke with them the were very helpful and informative. I can't say enough except that theses are folks you want to do business with. Thanks Baker! Steve K

Edit: 7/1/26 Updating my review to note that I have not been…read morecontacted by Geber as noted in the response, but at this point there's nothing more that can be done. I am also attaching the correspondence with SilverRock noting that the claim was approved on 5/12, the day after submitted, which contradicts the company's response as well. At the end of the day my biggest issues were with the lack of honesty and transparency, so I feel it's only appropriate to add this to my review. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Gerber based on my experience. The staff was always courteous, but the overall process was disappointing. My vehicle was dropped off on May 7 with an estimated repair time of about two weeks, and I was told May 28 would be the absolute latest completion date. Instead, my vehicle remained disassembled for weeks, multiple promised completion dates were missed, and I ultimately didn't get it back until June 15. Communication was the biggest issue throughout the process. I frequently had to reach out myself for updates, and we were given conflicting information about the repair timeline. We also experienced repeated issues with the rental authorization, resulting in multiple calls from Enterprise while we were on our family's vacation because the authorization had not been submitted correctly. When I finally picked up the vehicle, the repair was not actually complete. The newly repaired bumper was not sitting flush and could be pushed in and out, requiring me to return the vehicle for additional repairs. I also found new scratches around the replaced "Elevation" emblem on the rear hatch that were not present when I dropped the vehicle off, adhesive residue left behind from the repair, and the driver's area was returned covered in dust and debris from the repair process. I appreciate that the staff remained polite and ultimately addressed the bumper issue, but what should have been a straightforward repair turned into more than a month of delays, repeated follow-up on my part, and a second repair visit. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, quality control, and attention to detail for future customers.

I was hesitant to leave it 75 miles from my home town and had thoughts over the weekend to have it towed locally for repair. Not familiar with Columbia I Googled and Yelped Carolina Paint and Body for reviews and saw they had several mostly good or excellent and that made me feel better about having them do the repairs. I called and talked to Roger and he said they would get me an estimate done and get back with me. I think they called the next day and they explained the process and all the parts needed and gave me an estimated date for completion. Roger was in constant contact with me usually calling every Monday and Friday with an update. They were finished the repairs earlier than estimated but ran into a problem that required the Ford dealership's computer. That dealership's process took a few more days but was needed to complete the repairs. Roger worked with my insurance company and handle all the paperwork I only had to pay my deductible when picking up the car. All said and done, the repairs turned out flawless and I'm 100% satisfied with all the workmanship, parts and communication and would certainly would recommend Carolina Paint and Body to anyone looking for professional collision repair.

It wasn't huge but it was in a difficult location so that a repair was preferred over replacing the whole frame. The first place I called estimated ~$700 and would take a week or more just to get an appointment. Another place had a similar story. This body shop was quick with an estimate, well below the competition, courteous, and fast. Finding the right place for a car repair like this takes knowing the right people. Consider yourself informed that this is the place to go.

If I could rate Zero stars I would. This place has been the worse business experience I've ever had…read morein my 26 years of living. The workers have had my car sitting for 3 weeks for a minor bumper fix on passenger side. They said this kind of job takes 5-7 business days but in my case it's been 21 days and counting. They only have one painter. My bumper sat there due to that and the painter was on weeks long vacation with no backup to keep workflow going as usual. I am on last chance before my school drops me from the program due to too many consecutive missed days. So this is also hurting me academically. I'm a 2x deans list student. This is also interfering with my health as I cannot make it to appointments and have to keep pushing them back every week. They are also working on parts that had nothing to do with the damage I received in accident which adds more work time, more money, and a longer finish date. I told them multiple times to not do anything extra but they did it anyways and billed my insurance company. I know it's not my money but if they will do it to GEICO Theo will definitely do it to you. I'm not a bitter customer because I tried giving the grace but after all the lies and false updates reports I had to come and leave a review of what it is really like using them to fix your vehicle. Please do not waste your time with this place. It's best to shop around before just going somewhere because they are the biggest business in the area. One thing I've learned in life is smaller companies take care of customers better because they tend to get less business so every customer is very appreciated to them. With big business they just don't care about our experience. GERBER COLLISION IS MUCH BETTER. My friend took his brand new 2025 truck there and he had more damage from an accident he had a while back and they got him back on the road in 8 days. He took his car 2 days after me. Which makes me even more upset. But if you want good business and results definitely go GERBER.
