I had an extremely bad and damaging experience with Eagle Law Firm, including Mr. Omar and his paralegal, Joselyn. I hired them for my divorce case, which also involved immigration matters making the case highly sensitive. From day one, communication was almost nonexistent. My calls, texts, and emails were consistently ignored, rarely answered even when I sent critical documents and evidence. Their mishandling of my case amounts to serious professional negligence. Discovery responses were submitted with incorrect information, and a motion to compel was filed after the court's 45-day deadline that also missing separate statements Because of their failure, my hearing was dismissed by the judge. This directly caused financial loss and severely compromised my case. Despite paying thousands of dollars, I received no meaningful legal support. The only time they contacted me was to demand payment. When I requested accountability and a refund due to their mistakes, they refused to accept responsibility--even after the judge dismissed the hearing. Instead, they acted as if they knew better than the court. After I posted an honest review describing my experience, Mr. Omar contacted me and threatened legal action unless I removed it. Rather than addressing their errors or refunding my money, they attempted to intimidate me into silence. This conduct is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Due to their incompetence and lack of ethics, I was forced to change attorneys after four months, losing both time and money. Other reviews reflect the same pattern: once hired, communication stops. I strongly warn anyone considering this firm do not risk your case or your hard-earned money here. Omar and Jocelyn went above and beyond to help me through every step of my custody case. Before deciding to go with The Eagle Law firm I was working with another attorney that was very unprofessional and lazy. Where do I start? Omar talks a good talk and acts like he's 100% fully on your side with representation but sadly this is far from the truth. I retained Omar on behalf of my husband. I spoke to him, I paid him and I retained him under limited representation to start. After the first time we spoke which was when I retained Omar he was always "too busy" to answer our questions/calls. He has his receptionist (Jocelyn) do all the back and forth with us. From phone calls to emails to negotiations. Omar was late to both courts and didn't bother to call us to touch basis the day before courts. He was so unaware of what was going on. Omar didn't stand up for us and he didn't fight for us, all he did was agree with opposing counsel and allowed her to bad mouth my husband (his client). Omar never stood up for him and hardly said any words at court. On April 7 I discussed moving to full representation and made a half of the increased payment to convert to full representation. Payment was received and everything was good to go or so we thought. We emailed Omar and asked for a breakdown of our bill. Took him two weeks to send it over after we kept asking for it over and over. Our final court date before firing him he was late as usual so we called him to inform him court had been closed due to an emergency 7/2/25. We called Jocelyn to ask where he was at 8:45 am when she responded "he's on his way" we inform her court had been canceled. Jocelyn transferred the call to him and he started discussing a response to opposing counsel so we said we can go to your office and talk in person since it's across the street from the court house. Omar agreed, upon walking in he had about 6-7 half empty liquor bottles which were extremely concerning. At that moment we knew we would be firing him due to his lack of representation and now the half empty liquor bottles which we feel are very unprofessional. We got an emergency hearing notice (ex parte, court would be in a few days) and we had no idea what that was or what the plan was and instead of Omar reaching out to explain what that was or what was going on all he did was have Jocelyn text us and demand payment or he will not be representing us. How shitty is that? Didn't care to call to explain to us what was happening or what the plan was but was quick to demand payment or threaten to not represent us? (Screen shot will be posted) Lastly, when we emailed him to inform him how disappointed we were with his service he didn't seem to genuinely care. He responded with saying "you're on limited representation and I didn't bill you for July 2nds hearing" we said what? We paid you to convert to full representation back in April, what are you saying? So Omar wasn't even aware we had paid to convert to full representation. Is this why he was still doing bare minimum? It has been a complete shit show with this law firm. Save your money!
